    Waffle chicken sandwich
    Lynn H.

Service at this restaurant is really good. The guy at the counter was doing everything, from taking orders, dropping off food, grabbing people extra napkins... Nice guy! This isn't exactly health food, but it's tasty! I really like the crinkle cut fries. They have a deal going on right now for chicken "slider," fries, and a drink for $9.99. That slider is huge! It's more like a small chicken sandwich. I liked the chicken waffle sando - It comes with a white sauce mac and cheese in it. Kinda crazy, but tasty.

You have to give this place a try. I really wasn't expecting much as I've driven by a number of times. I finally stopped in to grab lunch on a Saturday afternoon around 1:15pm. You order from the cashier & they will bring you your food. It's a simple menu not too much but it works! It wasn't too busy but there's tables and a bar area to dine in. I was pleasantly surprised that everything was really good. Service was awesome! I believe his name was Gonzalo or that's what the name on my receipt said. Super nice guy. I Ordered the hot tender chicken salad, combo 1, & Nash & tender fries. Loved all of it. The sauce is really good! Love the slaw on the slider. I wish there was more maybe I'll ask for extra slaw next time. Nice clean decent place and there's plenty of parking. They have weekly specials as well. I'll definitely be back soon.

Food: it's fine if you need a quick fix in EG. However, as someone who has had a lot of hot chicken here, this was not my favorite. Overall, it's a nice cut of meat, but it came out too well done. The chicken was dry. The breading, on some parts, had no texture (almost crusted flat) suggesting that it was cooked a bit too long. The breading easily comes off the chicken and was pretty tough. With each bite, I would pull off more breading that I wanted. I got it spicy, but it never got me reaching for my water or beverage. I got the tender and sando meal to get the full picture. The saving graces were the macaroni and cheese and fries. I enjoyed the sweet, salty seasoning on both and it was not overdone. The mac and cheese was actually pretty cheesy. I actually thought the bread for the sandwich was superb along with the accompanying slaw -- It reminded me of Hawaiian bread. Service: quick, counter service Ambiance: standard, no frills fast food vibe. It was clean, which I appreciated.

I'm not sure if it's the restaurants fault or door dashes fault. I ordered from DoorDash. 1 tender taco. 1 nashirito with seasoned fries. And according to the DoorDash menu. The nashirito comes with the special sauce. It got here. Once I took my order inside. I notice it's missing the fries and the sauce. And also. The photo on the app shows a burrito cut in two. What I got was an uncut burrito. I did report to DoorDash and they are refunding for the missing fries. But it was heavily disappointing to be missing something I paid for. Missing sauce happens. Or missing add ons. But missing fries that comes as part of the meal. That's huge disappointing. As for taste: Taco. There was a lot on it. It tasted fine. I probably should have gotten a higher spice level (that's on me). Nashirito: it definitely needed the sauce. When I did get to bite the chicken I enjoyed it. But you taste everything else more often than the chicken. The fried chicken should be the star of both. It's in the name. But it isn't. The coleslaw and sauce was the major component of the taco. The Mac and coleslaw took up the major component of the burrito. Not the best first experience. Considering there's more chicken places around.

    So juicy!!!!!
    NS G.

Nash and Tender does not disappoint! I tried their spicy medium chicken tenders, and they were absolutely perfect. The chicken was juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and packed with flavor in every bite. The medium spice had the right kick, enough heat to make it exciting but not overwhelming. You can really taste the seasoning, not just the heat, which makes it stand out compared to other spots. The tenders came out fresh, hot, and cooked to perfection. If you're craving flavorful, crunchy tenders with just the right amount of spice, this is the place to go. Definitely recommend and will be coming back for more! Great and fast service too!!!! Will be back for sure!

Tired the loaded tender fries here. They were decent but nothing stood out too much about it. The fries were on the soggy side and portion size isn't that great for what it costs. Not a lot of tender meat in it either. Sauces and coleslaw were good.

Went to this spot with the hubby and the food was cool. The portions are small. I would say I would go again. The employees are nice and the facility is clean

I went back a couple of times, and the same gentleman helped the first time, and another lady the second time around. Once I got over my very first visit, it turned out to be a very pleasant experience on both visits. Now, I totally loved this place and definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a quick chicken fix.

    #3 with an extra sandwich
    Blanche M.

We recently ordered from here through Uber eats especially because we wanted to try this new restaurant. We ordered a #3 with an extra sandwich in medium. We thought their sandwiches were flavorful, and their brioche was delicious. It had a little sweet with the spice. I could have personally done a little spicier, but I was content with my sandwich. The tender that the meal came with was much less spicier than our sandwiches--when they were all medium. Their fries were good, and the ranch they provide is a good serving. Other than that, we enjoyed our meal and will order again!

We were in the area and my husband and son wanted to try this place. It was in a very busy parking lot but there was plenty of parking. The place is small inside but there are tables to sit at. We ordered two meals and the portions are very generous. My husband had chicken and waffles with fries. The chicken is very good and you can pick the spice level. The chicken was very well seasoned. The waffles were very good. The fries were also good. Three of us shared and it was enough and we loved it. Definitely recommend and we will be back.

Looking for something a little different so decided to give this place a try. Quite an interesting vibe with this place. It wraps around a corner with a front and side entrance but still able to fit ample seating. The service was good and no frills. They took my order and it was pretty quick all things considered. We were the only people in at the time so your mileage may vary. What really made this a great choice was the food. I decided to try out the Nasharito (not on the menu), was an interesting and awesome tasting sandwich. I expected a mess but it was well made and all the ingredients actually worked pretty well. The Mac and cheese was really a highlight. Only issue is that the medium is not really hot at all. I recommend atleast the hot if you enjoy the heat. Everyone else loved their food and definitely have this place on my must visit again list!

Located in the Walmart parking lot, there is plenty of parking available and electric car charging, but the parking lot is a little wonky on the flow so drive carefully. Plan on spending about 12-16$ per person. Service was relatively fast and there is free drink refills. I had the 3 tender meal with fries and it was a lot of food. Wife had the Nash which is basically Mac and cheese, coleslaw, fries with some chicken on top and she liked it. Not gourmet but hits the spot

    Mac and cheese yes!
    Hedy R.

Glad we walked in to try out this new place . Chicken tender slider was delicious .The slider was definitely bigger then what I know a slider to be so one was good for me. chicken was crunchy on the outside juicy inside very flavorful with the sauce coleslaw and pickles on a brioche bun! The Mac and cheese I would just come back for that -creamy cheesy yum! Dining area is small but very clean

Chicken slider combo with seasoned fries and dip sauce for fries.

AMAZING!!!! 10000/10 omg!…read more In Elk Grove, it's hard to find a restaurant that has good service and GOOD food. So, this place takes the cake. Their employees have that southern hospitality I never use that word but I HAD to for this because my experience was so awesome! I have never in my entire life had such an amazing experience at a restaurant I ordered ribs, mashed potatoes, and bbq chicken. Honestly, the number 1 best ribs I have ever had! Not even trying to glaze this place but it's the best i love it sm. The atmosphere here is SO COOL!!! Love their texas themed place. I think it's funny how they have a saddle to ride it made my experience so much fun! I think this place is already over hyped BUT for a GOOD reason! I am A THOUSAND percent returning!!! I am/will be recommending this place for every family outing.

This was also a takeout order, so I'm not sure if the quality standards for takeout differ from dine-in, but based on this experience, it definitely did not meet the mark. I ordered my steak well done, but when I cut into it, it was still red in the center. The macaroni and cheese lacked flavor, and the cheese wasn't mixed well with the pasta. The sweet potato tasted burnt on the inside and had a poor texture. The green beans were the only side that met expectations. I'm not sure if there are new cooks or if standards have changed, but the food quality was not what I remembered. To their credit, management listened to my concerns, apologized, and provided me with a coupon for a future meal, which I appreciated. My intention in leaving this review is simply to provide honest feedback in hopes that improvements can be made. With restaurant prices being as high as they are today, I expect meals to be prepared correctly regardless of whether I'm dining in or ordering takeout. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don't plan on returning anytime soon and will likely be looking elsewhere when I'm in the mood for a good steak.

Oh my, the French toast is a huge portion and beautifully presented with a side of whipped cream and strawberry compote on top. It's not as sweet as it looks (perfect for my taste) and the toast had crispy edges. Sausage was good but needed to be cooked just a bit longer, so you get that snap when you bite it. Scrambled eggs were good too. My husband got the chorizo burrito with tater tots on the side. He liked the burrito but said it did have little kick to it. The tots were fried to perfection and not oily. My brother ordered the "Dad's Mash Up," all kinds of stuff (breakfast meats and cheese) served on top of tots and covered in gravy. It was a pile of food, no complaints from my bro. Service was great and welcoming as soon as we walked in. No wait on a Wednesday morning, but I imagine there is on the weekends. I let our server know it was my brother's birthday, and after we were finishing up our meals, they brought him a complimentary small plate of the strawberry French toast! That was a fantastic way to end his celebratory breakfast. My only complaint, which is more of a suggestion, is to have flavored cream available besides half and half. The coffee is strong and delicious and our cups were never empty. Thank you, Jamie and staff, for a wonderful and yummy first visit. We'll be back!

Wait Time: 15 minutes (Sunday brunch)…read more Parking: Free with plenty of spaces in the shopping complex. Restroom: Bright and clean. Ambience: The space feels somewhat unfinished. Much of the interior consists of plain, single-color walls without much décor, giving it a blank and somewhat incomplete feel. Service: Friendly but slow and somewhat disorganized. * At check-in, the host added my name (Lin) to the waitlist and said I would receive a text when my table was ready. However, the notification arrived under a different name (Nancy), so I had to double-check whether the table was actually for us. * Our server was pleasant, but service felt scattered. She stopped by to check on us, but before we could respond, she walked over to another table and continued a conversation there. When she returned, she said she would bring water, even though we were already ready to order. It took a while for the water to arrive. * Later, we requested a water refill, which she acknowledged, but it appeared to be forgotten. The refill only came when we were getting ready to leave, at which point she apologized. Although it was a Sunday brunch service, the restaurant did not seem busy enough to fully explain the level of disorganization. Food: Breakfast is available all day. I recommend the Eggs Benedict (weekends only), which comes in several varieties: A. Bacon, spinach, and tomato Benedict B. Traditional ham Benedict C. Cali Benedict with avocado, tomatoes, and arugula D. Smoked Salmon Benedict The Club Sandwich also comes with a generous portion size. A nice convenience is that the restaurant allows split bills, and guests can pay individually through the Toast app.

The noise was a bit loud and the decor seemed a little dated. Overall the pros outweigh these, the service was solid, and we had a fun! 1. Parking Parking lot with 2 handicap spots. Also easy walkway from the handicap spots into the restaurant. Easy to pull into from the street if coming from 99. I would suggest not trying to back out to the street when leaving however and instead we went through the parking lot, made a left at the ally and from there make a turn from the stop sign at Main Street. 2. Menu: Every thing we ordered was delicious. They had a large wine and beer menu. The blonde beer was ice cold and light for a summer drink. The house red was pretty mellow and very full bodied. The Sauvignon Blanc wasn't too sweet and had a hint of vanilla. The portion sizes of the meals were huge. None of could finish our plates! The bread is extra at 6 dollars, but worth it mainly due to the garlic/chive butter with it. We also ordered the fried zucchini as an appetizer - it was hot and crispy. The zucchini and breading were not soggy at all, and the breading stuck perfectly (these are common issues I've had at other places with fried zucchini) The ribeye was cooked perfectly and was incredibly tender. My friend pointed out that this was a very large piece a bit on the thinner side- they may have pounded it out to tenderize it is our guess. The farmer special was our favorite. It was a braised short rib and you could order it with pasta however we did it with the polenta. It was so very tender and savory. Came with a lot of polenta and it was very cheesy with Parmesan. The linguine and clams had both shelled and unshelled clams. I felt that there could have been more meat for the clam to pasta ratio. It was full of garlic and the cream sauce was zesty. 3. Atmosphere: It's a decent sized building, with a nice big bar in the front a smaller room to the left and a larger room in the back. There was plenty of seating for if you needed to wait. The walkways were wide and it was easy to move around, so no issues using a walker here and I would guess a wheelchair should be fine. The backroom had big booth seats, and would probably be good for large groups and families. The decor seemed a little dated and there was a jukebox in the smaller room, which although we were seated in the back was very loud and at the beginning of our experience it was hard to hear each other and was distracting. During this time the music kept switching songs every 10 to 30 seconds. I inquired why, and every Tuesday night they do "Music Bingo". So that could be a plus for some people, who want a more laid back atmosphere and enjoy a community game! The people in the front of the restaurant seemed to really enjoy it! However I would say if you are planning a quiet evening out or a first time date, you may want to come any other night but Tuesday. 4. Service: All our food and drinks come out in an appropriate time. Drinks were cold and food was hot! Our server made sure we had everything we needed and the manager even come by to check on us. I do love the brick building and how it's on old Elk Grove. We will be back!

After 2:20, I got up and asked if anyone was coming to our table, as I've watch tables on the other end being seated, offered water, and putting in their order. The hostess said she'll be out soon, so I imagine we were seated while she must have just started her break. I was beginning to get upset, but Meredith arrived to take our orders and she was an excellent server. The managers should have had her tables covered while she was on break. My granddaughter had the personal pizza with house salad and I had the cheeseburger with a wedge salad. The lunches also came with a mini pizookie, which was plenty after a hefty lunch. My granddaughter enjoyed the pizza, which is the perfect size for her. Her salad was a little lumpy so she just played with it. My burger was really good, but I could only eat half. The other half will be dinner. Their fries were nice and hot and crispy, but I had the wedge salad instead, which was very good.

But thanks to FOMO and all of the attention it has been receiving lately, we decided to come out here for dinner one day. I wasn't sure how crazy busy it would be, but sure enough the line was out the door the entire time we were sitting there. Luckily, we got there a few minutes before opening so we were second in line and didn't have too much of a wait time. But unfortunately, for whatever reason they were out of the first three things we wanted so we really had a limited selection. Despite the lack of items, we still enjoyed what we did get. It's a casual feel, and you order at the counter, but they still checked on us during our meal despite the busy crowds. They seemed understaffed that day, but still managed to keep things under control. I really liked the brisket - you could see the juices coming out before you even take a stab with your fork. You don't even need a knife because of how tender the meat is. The frijoles and the corn esquites were definitely my favorite sides. The dirty fries were okay but a little bit underwhelming in presentation. The fries were undercooked and could've had more toppings. I was really hoping to try the loaded baked potato, but that was not available. I was surprised to see that they didn't have some of the more classic side options like macaroni and cheese or coleslaw or cornbread. Because they were out of the banh mi option, we opted for the fried chicken sandwich instead, which was actually surprisingly super good, despite not seeming like a main menu item. The chicken was really juicy and burger itself was just very satisfying. Overall, had a great first visit but because of the items that we couldn't try, I feel like we have to go again to get the proper experience. I do wish they had some kind of kids menu. I also still want to try that Sunday brunch menu so we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.
