Food is delicious...had the Ropa Vieja bowl and it was top notch!...will definitely be coming back for a Cuban sandwich next time!

    Yucca Fries 2/17/23

Ordered: - Cuban Sandwich: 3/5 - lacking on flavor other than salty cured meat, bread was a little chewy - Yucca Fries: 1/5 - I thought I was eating fry shaped batter at first.... I've had yucca fries at other places, and they were nothing alike. Not convinced these are made with yucca.. as they don't taste or have the texture of yucca - Potato Balls: 2.5/5 - over fried; if you were expecting a Porto's potato ball, you'd be very disappointed. Very little meat to potato ratio & the meat was not well seasoned at all. Service: cashier was nice and friendly

This review is for their location inside the Grog Shop liquor store in Whittier. Young lady employee was very friendly and explained it's a family owned business. Ordered their Cubano sandwich to go which cost $15. It was very delicious but kind of on the small side considering the price. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items.

Just finished eating my Media Noche Sandwich and let me tell you! It is soo delicious and I want another one! Brian the owner is super chill and friendly. He's a Whittier local! All the food is authentic and made from scratch. They even make their own bread! Can't wait to come back and try the Ropa Vieja. Come show this place some love! We came to the Kiki's counter inside the Grog Liquor Store.

We noticed that not only do they have a food truck that comes regularly to the Saturday farmers market in La Mirada, but that they opened a location on Lambert and Colima, inside a liquor store. We enjoyed the food: the plantains and beef items, but we wished that they had chicken options, as we're not huge fans of pork. With that said, the service was very nice and is a friendly family business. They say that their menu items are all made fresh too, using family recipes. I hope to try their Media Noche sandwich and garlic aioli next time!

Got to try this food truck today at a little craft market. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and a side of plantains. I enjoyed both very much. The guy was very friendly and told us that they make the bread fresh daily and smoke their own meat. It was very tasty. I would definitely eat their stuff again should I cross their path.

2 small potato balls and a flat sandwich for 29$??? Way over priced would not recommend this food truck. :(( The food was good but i mean for that price ill just go to a sit down restaurant.

I had the best cuban food in San Gabriel Valley the food was not only delicious but fresh and the owner took the time to make us feel welcomed. I recommend this place to all of my friends.

They are pretty hefty sandwiches, and they do use quality ingredients. Even the bread is really good. I got the baba ghanoush, which I think was quite amazing, and I got there special of the day which was a club sandwich which I thought was good but I think the baba ghanoush was better. I also ended up getting a cookie on some other pastry, which was also really good. The cookie that they had was super thin and just delightful. The person behind the counter answered my questions about the pastries and gave his good advice on which ones were really good and he did not disappoint, and overall it seems like the people were friendly. The store is small and there are some tables inside very clean. Very cute. A bunch of tables outside as well and it looks like it is a popular spot because when I got there, there was a line but once I found parking and walked there there was no line. Since it was our first time (thanks to tik tok!), Henry went over the menu and shared his personal favorites as well as the most popular among customers. He did tell us they are known for their sandwiches. We went with one breakfast burrito and the granada sandwich, respectfully. We had them cut in half too. We then decided to eat the burrito (she had half and I had half) and save the sandwich for dinner later that day. The breakfast burrito was pretty good. I would say 8/10. It was a good size as well which is why we shared it. Now, when we had the sandwich (shared as well) later for dinner OMG it was delicious!! Every ingredient mixed well together. So much flavor! We got jalapeño aioli as a dipping sauce and man oh man was it good! We will definitely be returning! And honestly, I can't wait! Some notes: If you need to use the restroom, you gotta head over to the movie theater across the way as Monty's does not have a public restroom. Be patient as there is a wait time. First off, I came in for two pastrami sandwiches which they promptly came out to me and said they didn't have any more pastrami. Both sandwiches were painfully boring and I wish I had something good to say. I'm not sure what was put in my wife's sandwich either when she got explosive diarrhea less than 10 minutes after eating her sandwich? The cold cuts tasted off and I wanna say that they were rotten because I've been burping it all day. Something positive? I guess the store looked nice on the inside?
