The counter is inside The Grog Shop. Great choices! The Cuban was fantastic. Large piece of bread, great tasting meat. Lots of cheese and pickles. I got the potato balls too. The bread was sweet and the filling was just right. Order at the KiKi's counter and pay over at the Grog Shop counter. There are tables to sit at and eat inside.

Ordered: - Cuban Sandwich: 3/5 - lacking on flavor other than salty cured meat, bread was a little chewy - Yucca Fries: 1/5 - I thought I was eating fry shaped batter at first.... I've had yucca fries at other places, and they were nothing alike. Not convinced these are made with yucca.. as they don't taste or have the texture of yucca - Potato Balls: 2.5/5 - over fried; if you were expecting a Porto's potato ball, you'd be very disappointed. Very little meat to potato ratio & the meat was not well seasoned at all. Service: cashier was nice and friendly

This review is for their location inside the Grog Shop liquor store in Whittier. Young lady employee was very friendly and explained it's a family owned business. Ordered their Cubano sandwich to go which cost $15. It was very delicious but kind of on the small side considering the price. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items.

Just finished eating my Media Noche Sandwich and let me tell you! It is soo delicious and I want another one! Brian the owner is super chill and friendly. He's a Whittier local! All the food is authentic and made from scratch. They even make their own bread! Can't wait to come back and try the Ropa Vieja. Come show this place some love! We came to the Kiki's counter inside the Grog Liquor Store.

We noticed that not only do they have a food truck that comes regularly to the Saturday farmers market in La Mirada, but that they opened a location on Lambert and Colima, inside a liquor store. We enjoyed the food: the plantains and beef items, but we wished that they had chicken options, as we're not huge fans of pork. With that said, the service was very nice and is a friendly family business. They say that their menu items are all made fresh too, using family recipes. I hope to try their Media Noche sandwich and garlic aioli next time!

Got to try this food truck today at a little craft market. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and a side of plantains. I enjoyed both very much. The guy was very friendly and told us that they make the bread fresh daily and smoke their own meat. It was very tasty. I would definitely eat their stuff again should I cross their path.

2 small potato balls and a flat sandwich for 29$??? Way over priced would not recommend this food truck. :(( The food was good but i mean for that price ill just go to a sit down restaurant.

I had the best cuban food in San Gabriel Valley the food was not only delicious but fresh and the owner took the time to make us feel welcomed. I recommend this place to all of my friends.

We came here because my cousin DJSP was the featured DJ this Sunday, so I did my Yelp research and to be honest, I didn't know what to expect because the most recent reviews were a couple of months old, no recent food photos and menu photos were outdated. However we were going either way because it was also our featured DJ's birthday. We made reservations but that was difficult too as we called for several days until someone actually answered the phone. I was a little surprised because the food we ordered were all pretty tasty, decent portions, and reasonably priced. The service was ok. Orders took a little time to arrive, but they made sure we had chips and salsa and with a full crowd and a limited number of wait staff, they made sure we were still being attended too. Well that did not happen to me when I finally got to try a Lobster roll from the famous LobstaTruck. A few years ago I was at the Tustin AMC when I saw the truck. I had heard about it so we went over only to see a line that was 40 yards deep. No way to make our movie so we put it off. A few months ago I was somewhere that they were going to be only to learn that the truck broke down and the killer was last month when I was in Irvine and saw on Twitter that they were a couple blocks away. I finished my meeting and drove right over only to see the driving away. Aaahhgggg!!!! So today was a few miles away in Long Beach and decided to try the roll. I was shocked to find that there was no line and only a few marines that had just picked up their orders. I was surprised to hear whether I wanted butter or mayo. I thought I all rolls came with mayo but I asked what was more popular. The gal mentioned that the butter was more popular so I had to try that one. I was thinking about adding the extra meat but I am glad I didn't, the roll was perfect although I wish it were a little bigger. The roll here comes on what looks like a giant buttered Texas toast, not the hoagie type roll I was imagining but the toast was really delicious and adds a lot of taste to the roll. My roll had plenty of meat and had a few big chunks that you can really bite into. It had some butter on the lobster but not so much that it was oily. Just perfect. I cant believe how good it was to taste this awesome explosion of deliciousness and I cant wait to get back to try the sandwich with mayo; you know for research. Next time I will also try the lobster bisque soup. The Marine that was eating next to me also had the soup and it really made me crave it but I had a big breakfast this morning and so I will have to chase down this truck again.

The salsas also tasted fresh, but they were pretty bland and had almost no spice or kick to them. The biggest disappointment was the premium arrachera burrito. For $17.50, I expected the meat to be the highlight, but instead the burrito was mostly rice and beans. The filling was also very soft and mushy overall. The arrachera itself was chopped into tiny, fatty pieces with very little flavor, and it got completely lost among the rice and beans. It didn't have the grilled, seasoned beef flavor I was expecting from a premium burrito. Maybe this is the new standard, or maybe California food costs are forcing restaurants to cut corners to keep prices where they are--I honestly don't know. But at $17.50, I expected a lot more meat and a lot more flavor. I don't mind paying premium prices for premium food, but this just didn't feel like a premium burrito. The fresh ingredients, fast service, and friendly staff were all appreciated, but the burrito itself didn't live up to the price or the reputation.

My particular visit was on a Tuesday night at Pioneer high school in Whittier. There were 12 food trucks circling the edge of the parking lot. At 6:30 PM there were a lot of people eating, but not a lot of people waiting in lines at the food trucks. By 7:30 PM, most of the crowd had dissipated. When there's not a lot of business, the food truck owners tend to play on their phones. Many of my Instagram and tweets were commented or retweeted, which tells me that they were not busy enough in sales. It's an excellent food truck gathering, with plenty of choices. As a long time food truck blogger, I feel that there's too many trucks and not enough people. Best bites could reduce the trucks from 12 to say, eight trucks, and there will still be plenty of trucks for the people, and more business for the food trucks. A total win-win situation. I do like there's plenty of tables and chairs, and a DJ spinning catchy tunes. On my visit there was also a Photo Booth that the fans can use. Plenty of free parking, but unfortunately once the sun went down, the place got very dark. I hope this location continues to thrive, as the location is very good and the community seems to like it.
