So I've only been here once, and perhaps if I try it again I'll update my review. This is a newer place, located in a shopping center ok the east side of El Paso of Zaragoza. It seems to be like a typical chain restaurant as far as Mexican food goes. Not that it's bad or anything, the food I had was perfectly fine, but it just doesn't have that homely, hole-in-the-wall, super authentic feel to it. Like the type of place that you can tell someone's abuela is in the back cooking your food. But again, as far as chain type places go, this one was pretty solid. I mean, 3/5 stars for my one and only visit still ain't too shabby. I had tacos, deshrebrada I believe, but honestly can't remember. Nothing much to write home about. And that's not a knock to this place... but it's just that we live here in El Paso, and Mexican food is not hard to find lol. So it's rather rare and special to find a place that blows you away. Prices were fine. Seating was fine. Location is doable. I'd only even went because this place is very close to the person I was meeting, and they didn't want to travel far. But it was a Tuesday and we wanted tacos, and tacos we had. I'll probably try it again one day when COVID is finished (hopefully). And when I do, I'll update the review. But again, 3/5 ain't bad. It's worth a try. I'm picky anyways, so a 3 for me might be a 4 for you? Or vice versa. Who knows really.

Green chicken enchiladas

In these uncertain times, sickness and Covid are dominating are lives again. I find that chicken caldo is mends the wounds. My go to is las Palmas for caldo, when I have no time to make it myself. It's always fresh with plenty of big chunks of vegetables and always full of meat. So when ur feeling sick and need a recharge order a chicken caldo to go, if ur like me and been avoiding crowds lately, pick up and drive thru is available.

This place was very amazing. I don't usually order this type of food in Mexican food because I am not fun of the cuisine. However, They served really great Mexican food " I mean real Mexican Cuisine." I would definitely come back here again. The waitress was super friendly and neat. The restaurant was very clean. I had no.2 combination which was superb. Very highly recommended to anyone who liked Mexican food.

Seafood Enchilada

Seafood enchilada The presentation was ok and I ate part of the beans and rice and one "seafood" enchilada. I chose this entree, 1. I love seafood and 2. There were a few rave reviews on this particular dish. After finishing only one enchilada I had an unusual feeling in my stomach, I stopped and boxed the rest. I didn't even making home before it became plant food for some poor tree. Keep in mind I travel around the world and can tolerate many varieties of delicacies but never one this horrendous. Also note, both my husbands,SILs and daughters meals seemed to be ok. I made the mistake and ordered "seafood" in EL PASO. DON'T DO IT or you'll be fining the next tree to feed. Finally, the leftover box went directly to the outside trash after I puked for the 3rd time.

Arrived right before noon to a full restaurant. There were large parties and many couples dining in. Fast service and food delivery done by Hunter (Server). Myself and my S.O. must have been extremely hungry because we ordered at noon and was done within 17 mins. Sheeze, talk about fast food... I don't know what their kitchen is like but I liked to think it's similar to a layout where food is already prepared in warmed containers ready to be scooped onto a plate. When we ordered with our server, he typed it into the system, walked into the kitchen and walked out with our plates? Whoa there speedy!! Totally fine with me because I was hungry!!! Thanks for the quick service! We ordered a Chile Colorado and Huevos Rancheros. Both were surprisingly delicious and hot too. Oh I forgot to tell you that I LOVE their salsa. Yummy! Price was reasonable for the casual ambiance. Friendly team and clean establishment. Then again, it IS a brand new spot so I pray it stays that way! Would I recommend this location? Absolutely!!

Best Mexican food in El Paso. We love the salsa and margaritas at Las Palmas. The staff at both locations are great.

It was very heavy and very cheesy. There was something super heavy about that I cant describe. The staff was super nice and got us our food and drinks and refilled our salsa n chips often. My friend had the mole item and felt it was way too sweet/cocoa on it. Overall I would've wanted to try the other machaca items and other things. I had just flown in from the airport, and my brother arranged it as a special family gathering. Everything started normally: we were seated, ordered our food, received our drinks, and enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa. Then my sister (who is LGBTQ+) stepped away to use the restroom. When she returned and sat down, a manager approached our table and loudly told her--in front of other diners--that "MEN cannot use the female restroom." My sister was mortified and humiliated by the public confrontation. The manager's tone and assumption were shocking and clearly discriminatory. We immediately got up and left without eating. This wasn't about enforcing any legitimate policy; it was rude, insensitive, and targeted. My adult sister is perfectly capable of reading the restroom signs herself--no one needed to police or shame her in such a way. The incident felt rooted in homophobia and transphobia from management. We will never return to this place, and we will actively discourage others--especially LGBTQ+ individuals and allies--from patronizing it. What should have been a joyful family milestone was ruined by bigotry. Avoid this establishment if you value respect and inclusivity.

While the food was never the primary…read morereason I returned, the excellent margaritas and outstanding service kept me coming back for nearly two decades. Unfortunately, that loyalty came to an end after a recent experience that was both disappointing and unacceptable. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Every guest paid separately, and there were no issues during the evening itself. However, as the event concluded, multiple attendees, including family members and in-laws, overheard servers making derogatory comments about our party. Among the remarks were that we were "ungrateful," "cheap," and "broke," along with other inappropriate comments that no customer should ever have to hear. I brought the matter to the attention of ownership, hoping for a meaningful resolution. While I was told the employees had been reprimanded, the proposed remedy was a $25 gift card. After nearly 18 years of patronage, the response felt dismissive and only added insult to injury. What disappoints me most is not simply the behavior of the staff, but the lack of accountability and concern shown afterward. This was a place I once considered a reliable and welcoming destination for family gatherings and celebrations. Sadly, that trust has been lost. As a result, I will no longer be returning or recommending this establishment to friends, family, or colleagues. Respect for customers should be a fundamental part of any hospitality business, and in this case, that standard was not met.

I bumped it up to four stars for the super friendly service and the excellent aguas frescas. We got there late, about an hour before closing and they were literally trying to get rid of the aguas for free. I guess they have to dump it if they don't use it all. It was close to our hotel so we gave it a try. Portion sizes are good. The taco platter comes with six tacos! I had the flautas Chinampa which came with four beef flautas, beans, rice, and salad. I forgot, the taco platter even came with a baked potato. Prices were excellent. We had gone to McDonald's in the morning and spent more. They also cave us frijoles charros for free. Not sure if this was standard or if they were also trying to get rid of it. I would return for the service and the convenience, but if you're looking for life changing Mexican cuisine, it's not here. What you get is a good amount of decent food at a good price served by great people.

Had multiple thousand Google reviews and they were all close to five stars. So I knew I had to check it out. It was super close to my hotel, so I popped in the car and found it without trouble. Trouble. Again, there is pretty limited parking so it's kind of hit and miss whether you'll find a spot or not. Fortunately, I did. When you walk up to the place, the building itself is pretty nondescript. They have a nice selection of outside seating, and your window to order is outside. Very nice lady at the counter gave me helpful suggestions and so I ordered three tacos and an amazing lime and cucumber fresca. Went in and sat down inside and was pleasantly surprised by the interior. It definitely had more of an upscale bar vibe to it than a Taco shop. The waiter that brought out my tacos told me that it turns into more of a nightclub after hours. I may have to go check that out. The tacos themselves were absolutely off the chain! The tortillas were blue corn and everything on it tasted so fresh and so wonderful. The carnitas was fantastic, the brisket Taco was to die for and the blackened shrimp Taco was one of the best I've ever had. Had. The flavors were so balanced and on point, it was one of the most satisfying taco experiences I have had!! I will probably hit this place up a couple more times before I leave El Paso. If you are in El Paso, you probably already know about this place. But I'm telling you what you cannot go wrong for tacos and that lime/ cucumber fresca! Bottom line? It's about 10 hours drive from Las Vegas to El Paso. And this Taco shop will give me a great reason to do a road trip anytime. Do yourself a favor and go check this place out!
