    Place to order
    Christina H.

This place was great, I felt like they gave a good sized portion for the pice you pay! I was able to eat mine for two meals! I got the steamed veggies rice bowl and added tofu. I really enjoyed the amount of vegetables they gave and the thickness of the veggies. All of the veggies were cooked but still have a bit of a crunch which I love. The teriyaki sauce came on the side so that was nice that I got to decided how much I wanted to put on. I ended up using all the teriyaki and half a packet of soy sauce. The dish is not spicy so it came with some chili paste packets for the people who prefer it hot. If I were to compare this place to another restaurant, I would say that it gives flame broiler vibes. But with more options. I also heard that this is a locally owned restaurant. I love to support local businesses so you should definitely give this place a try! The staff are very friendly and the food is very fresh and came out relatively quick!

The food was very good, and the place was very busy so that was a good indicator. The only issue I've had is that they couldn't add tofu to the vegetable stir fry, I had to order a full side of tofu separately. Usually restaurants add it without any problem, maybe for a small upcharge, but the end result is much better as the tofu is sautéed together with veggies. Besides that, we both liked the god and the extra teriyaki sauce they've added. It also came with Sriracha sauce pockets if you need more spice as the dishes are not spicy. You can find in but they will still serve you the food in a to go containers, so that is a bummer. Food came out quickly and it was hot and fresh.

I found this place on Yelp when I searched for sushi, and since it was close to home, I decided to give it a try. To be honest, the rice, chicken, and salad plate had good flavor, but the sushi wasn't what I expected. The service was great--the lady did a good job explaining the dishes to me. I really liked the atmosphere and how everything was spread out and roomy. I plan to come back and give this place another try.

This is the kicking chicken. I did steal the picture because I'm a big back I didn't take a picture.

I phoned in my order and the service on phone was a 10. Order was picked up and it was correct. Cashier greeted me and let me know where condiments and napkins were available. The Salmon & Chicken Teriyaki Bowl with salad and brown rice was the excellent the teriyaki on the side was ideal. Bothe chicken and salmon were cooked to perfection.

Love this place for lunch. They are fast and make the order how you want it. If I want less rice and more salad in my bowl they do it and I really appreciate it :)

Ordered the curry bowl and the carrots and potatoes is rock hard. Hardly any chicken in the bowl. Def not worth the 15 bucks with tax. Stick with the other items. Don't order the curry, it's bad.

The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. The young ladies that greeted us and then ushered us to the patio were lovely and gracious. It was then that we met Donavin who became our adept curator for the evening. A full menu of Sushi, noodles, gyoza and rolls made it difficult to choose but eventually we narrowed it down. I always try the Unagi (eel) at any sushi restaurant. It is my barometer for how good everything else will probably be. It was good. I also ordered the Kimono Roll while my wife had Shogun roll. We also tried the Chicken Gyoza. Everything was terrific. Excellent taste and fresh. Next time someone asks me about Fresno I'll say "Fresno! They have good sushi there". Definitely Recommended.

The drinks were made immediately while the food took some time to arrive. Although the drinks came quickly, I wish my coconut rim had been applied more evenly. *Poke Nachos: these had a tropical flair with the chopped mango. The dish was covered in a thick layer of honey wasabi spicy mayo and it definitely cleared my sinuses. However, the tuna was finely chopped and sparse throughout the dish. The wonton chips were also on the greasier side and appeared darkened from unclean oil. *Strawberry Blush: a confusing mix that leaned heavier on the gin and lychee. The strawberry and lemon were practically nonexistent. I did enjoy the coconut rim, although it only lightly covered the glass. *Salmon Roll: despite being on the happy hour menu, I was surprised to see it still nearing $11. However, I enjoyed the quality and the thick cut of salmon. It was a well filled and nicely shaped roll. While the staff seemed pleasant, I was underwhelmed by the overall quality of the dishes and drinks. The cocktail was not weak as others mentioned, but the flavors felt different from those listed on the menu. The happy hour prices were also not very competitive compared with other restaurants. I would have preferred fresher seafood and better portions.

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. Being Japanese, my Grandma typically craves Japanese food and only goes to places she enjoys. I wanted her to branch out, so I selected this spot. When we entered, the vibes were a bit off. It was summer in the valley, and it was hot. There was no AC inside, just fans, and we were literally sweating during our entire meal. It was quiet, very dark, and not clean--sticky floors and menu. The service was nice, but not very attentive. Regarding the food, we got two Bento Boxes and one Caterpillar Roll. For the price, the portion was good, but the quality and taste weren't the best. The tempura was really thick, and the shrimp was reminiscent of the frozen Costco shrimp tempura. The sashimi was stringy and of poor quality. The rolls we had were falling apart, and the avocado was mushy and not fresh. Everything we had was subpar at most, which is a shame considering how vast the menu is (lol at their AI pictures though). I wouldn't come back nor recommend what we got. When it was time to get some food the next day, my daughter wanted to come here. It was a very hot day so my wife stayed home. It was just the kids and I. Walking in, I was curious to know how much the place changed since Tiger Bite Bowls closed. Not a whole lot really. The interior is very simple. Like a pho restaurant. We sat and looked at the menu. I know Teriyaki bowl is in the name, but I didn't see any bowls on the menu....not that I wanted one. Just an observation. Essentially the options are plates and sushi, so we did 2 of each, and later took a dragon roll home. Coming inside, it was initially welcomed because of how hot it was outside. But as our bodies began to cool down, I started to notice that it was a little warm in the restaurant too. It wasn't hot, but clearly they were concerned with their PG&E bill. I think one of the younger workers who arrived later noticed it too, because after they got there, the room temperature went down to a comfortable level again. As for the food, I was telling my daughter that it's too bad we didn't find Miso Hungry that day we were on the hunt for fried rice. Instead we had that horrible restaurant in Clovis. I think the only thing missing was the show you normally get with a tepanyaki restaurant. Was the good at the level of Hino Oisi or Edo-ya? Not quite, but it was still good. I like my fried rice a bit more crispy. The sweet and spicy sauce was an added bonus. Goes great on the fried rice! On everything really. Be sure to ask for some. As is always the case, one sushi roll isn't enough to fill a person up, so my son and daughter were still a little hungry. This is universal so no knock on Miso. I had my fill with my chicken plate and was able to share. I think the surprise was my son getting the salmon plate. So why only 3 stars? It's a hole in the wall, as evidenced by the fact that the restroom is out back in the alley, a few doors down. Nothing against a restaurant being a hole in the wall, but for $100 for 5 plates, no drinks, the food better be great, not just good. I feel like Miso is this areas version of Teriyaki Don, except Teriyaki Don is cheaper, with more options. I'm sure we will be back. Hopefully by then the menu will have expanded to include Teriyaki bowls or something
