It's beginning to be pho season. And this is in my opinion one of the best in town. Comes out quick and hot with all the fixings. Go check them out

Number 9 beef pho and number 25 fried noodles with beef
Dani T.

Absolutely my favorite pho spot in town. Since finding this place I've been coming at least once a week. I get the same thing most times I come, sometimes adding a different appetizer but their number 9 beef pho is perfect everytime. I have yet to wait longer than 10-15 minutes even at their busiest. They usually put a complimentary hot pot of tea at the table when you sit down. The restaurant has nice plants around, plenty of seating and every table has all the classic fix ins like Hoisin, sirracha, chili sauce, sugar for tea and a few others.

Excellent Pho!! Their sandwich and other items are delicious as well! One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Oregon

Cockroach

Cockroaches. So sad! This place did seem a little unclean. Today a cockroach appeared at our table. It was so icky!

Meatball Pho

Always delicious and affordable! Service is quick, and the family who runs it is lovely. Been coming here for years and will keep coming, best pho in salem hands down!!

Excellent service, friendly and helpful. It's clean and charming inside. Delicious, fresh food and big portions at a reasonable price. #21 was excellent but I suggest getting a few dishes and sharing. The beef soup is amazing and refreshing.

Chicken Bahn mi

We ordered takeout and the portions are MASSIVE and food is totally delicious. The Chicken Bahn Mi had SO MUCH charred flavorful chicken! Absolutely loaded with meat and toppings and less cost than a subway sandwich! The Vermicelli was also a massive portion and so flavorful and fresh! Thai tea was huge and yummy. Everything we got tasted house made and very fresh :) we'll be back again and again!

Egg rolls (two orders)

Visiting from California and I have to stop at my favorite restaurant. This is hands down one of the best Vietnamese restaurants, better than majority of the places I went to in Vietnam, Oregon and California. Today i saw they added some New dishes! The bao buns are phenomenal! Quite large too! we always get the lemon grass prawns, egg rolls and because it's so hot we didn't get the soup, but we typically do. I love this place so much. Cảm ơn

Pork bahn mi!

I visited this place after hitting up A-Dong market and am so glad I did! They just opened for the day so it was quiet and the food came out fast. I ordered two bahn mi's one chicken and one pork. Both were delicious and fresh! They had a good amount of meat and all the standard fresh fillings. The pork was so flavorful. The bread was top notch as well! This is place worth checking out!

Been eating here for over 15 years. Best Pho in Pacific NW, a true hidden gem in an unassuming location.

This Vietnamese restaurant is in a small shopping center with several other Asian restaurants as well, and has plenty of parking in the lot. First off, the folks who work here are very kind and attentive. I was quickly seated, and given a rundown of the menu before the waitress left to get water and utensils. When they returned in 3 minutes they were ready to take my order, and were receptive to my requested modifications to the dish. My steaming hot pho arrived about five minutes after I ordered it. The broth has a great flavor, and didn't seem too salty or oily. The aromatics were fresh, clean and plentiful. My only critique is that the noodles were about 15% overcooked. The restaurant uses noodles that seem a little more substantive than what I'm normally served, which I really liked. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience and I'd consider returning to try their other dishes.

The only thing to note is that the chicken wings came out last even though we ordered them as an appetizer, so just be aware they take a bit longer to cook--but they're so worth the wait. The service was great, and the place itself was very cozy. Every single table was filled on a Thursday night, which says a lot. Super affordable too--$54 for our entire dinner with drinks. We'll definitely be back!

Unlike most places that make the dish look like a lot by packing it on a small plate, this one had a massive plate and piled it high. Even the kid's meal was the size of an adult portion! My pad Thai was supposed to be a level 4 spice, but it wasn't spicy at all, and it was a bit on the sweeter side -- not overwhelming, but sweeter than I expected. I also tried the house special fried rice, which was gigantic but sadly lacked flavor. I really didn't enjoy it. The chicken tenders were crispy but a little dry. However, the flourless chocolate cake was amazing! I'd never had it before, but it was so rich and delicious. Highly recommend that dessert! I'm giving 4 stars mainly because of the huge portion sizes. The food overall would probably be closer to 3 stars for me, but the portions definitely stood out. As for the ambiance, it wasn't the prettiest place, definitely an old-school vibe, but it was huge and clean, so no complaints there. Service was just your standard, nothing extraordinary.

A noticeable decline at Marco Polo Global Restaurant…read more It is with genuine disappointment that I share how significantly Marco Polo Global Restaurant has changed--and not for the better. Having been a loyal patron for years, I was unaware that the restaurant had undergone an ownership change approximately one year ago. Unfortunately, the shift in management has been accompanied by a marked decline in both service and food quality. Service Concerns Table service fell well below expectations. Our server did not introduce herself, nor did she demonstrate any gestures of hospitality throughout the meal. Twice, plates were handed to us stacked, leaving the guests to distribute them ourselves--an approach inconsistent with professional table service. Water glasses were never refilled, and there was a general lack of attentiveness to our table. Menu Changes The menu has been reduced to a simple two‑sided laminated sheet, a stark departure from the former Marco Polo menu that once offered an impressive variety of thoughtfully curated dishes. Food Quality The food, regrettably, did not meet even basic standards: Singapore Noodles: The most disappointing dish of the evening. I shared my feedback with the server, who later reported that the cook had not seasoned it properly and offered to remake it. We declined. Salad Rolls: Flavorless, with a peanut sauce that was thin, cold, and lacking depth. Broccoli with Tofu: The broccoli was overcooked, wilted, and visually unappealing. The dish was marginal at best. Green Beans with Garlic: Cooked adequately, but lacking seasoning and overall flavor. Vegan Pot-stickers: The one bright spot--excellent texture, well‑prepared, and accompanied by a flavorful sauce. Overall Atmosphere The ambiance felt tired, and the restaurant appears to have lost the vitality and care that once made it a thriving local favorite. Based on our experience, it seems clear that both the kitchen and front‑of‑house staff would benefit from renewed training and leadership. Our server confirmed that the business changed hands about a year ago, and unfortunately, the decline is evident in nearly every aspect of the dining experience. We will not be returning, and it saddens me to say so--Marco Polo was once a beloved establishment in the community.
