irene saved my nails today on such short notice. her attention to detail, honesty, and expertise completely won me over and i cannot wait to return for my next appt. for context, the day prior to my walk-in at kim nails, i went to another salon and received gel x that was poorly fit (my sidewalls were still showing on 6 out of 10 nails), an ombre that was not blended whatsoever, and extensions that were sloping so far up my coworker two desks over asked me if i wanted her to fix them for me. i couldn't endure it so i decided to go to kim nails near my work and ask them to just soak it all off and redo the entire set. irene took one look at my nails, patiently heard me out, and got to work. instead of a new set, she and her coworker filed down all that previous unshaped bulk and gave me the best acrylic fill of my life. irene dedicated extra time to filing and shaping my nails pre-builder gel and then even more time post-builder gel to create the perfect apex and minimize unnecessary weight. ive never had a nail tech use three different drill bits just to refine my nail shape before at a salon. she even filed underneath the nail where the gel from the previous extension had built up - without me asking! this all by itself was more than i could have asked for, but then i find out that they have asian nail polishes, too! ive always brought very translucent/transparent inspo pics to my appts and have always been let down by opaque polishes. but at kim nails they have the exact type of translucent jelly nail polishes i have been looking for!! irene also perfected the subtle cateye gleam that i love and have been unable to achieve at home. when i inquired re: designs, irene informed me that if she feels like she can't do a design justice, she'll be upfront with her client and let them know. i value this honesty so much because i am lowkey nonconfrontational and have watched my nails become something totally different than the inspo i brought to the table. to top it all off, they have a very, very affordable pricing for a very efficient appointment. for the same duration and more effort, i almost spent under half of what i paid just the day before for my previous set. (i tipped over 50% to match because it would feel like a moral failure to pay irene any less than what i paid for my failed set.) all in all, 5 out of 5 stars i am endlessly grateful. my pictures do not do this establishment justice and for that i apologize i will take better pictures with my next set!!! read more

I was disappointed with my experience at this nail salon. The appointment felt rushed, and the final result didn't match what I asked for. The polish application was uneven, and I noticed chips much sooner than I expected. I also felt that my concerns weren't taken seriously when I pointed them out. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but based on my visit, I don't feel the quality of service matched the price. Really great experience! I had classic pedicure and a gel manicure and my technician for my gel manicure (Irene) was wonderful. She really made sure I was happy every step of the way and took her time to make my nails perfect even though I did a basic color/shape with no design. I paid for gel x nails on my hands, and ask for customized styling. They accommodated me with created freedom. I wanted them to mix 2 of their chrome powders and layer it on top of black to give a vintage bronze look. The lady doing my nails was super nice. She did everything I asked. However, the person who did my toes cut me twice on my left foot. And for some reason, she kept going back to that foot when I did the highest options for pedicure treatment. So on my left foot, the toe on the left side directly next to my big toe, had a cut and was irritated. I'm not going to lie. It's still healing and it's already been a week. My nails look really pretty but I think that lady was new and I also think I was overcharged because I paid $190. Normally I don't like to talk about other people's experiences, but they did my friends nails very odd, she was unhappy and told them so they just told her she could change it or take them off so she asked to take it off. She had to pay for her nails and also pay to take them off. For some reason they gave her a $20 off coupon for next time but that doesn't make sense if someone didn't have a good experience the first time why would they have to trust you a second time? So I'm not really sure what happened there with the communication. I have no malice towards anyone. I'm still really impressed with the person who did my nails, but the quality of their product is not good because my nails Art is chipping away since the second day I was there to get them done. This nail spot is absolutely horrendous. My girlfriend went here to get her nails done and came to me telling me that she was treated so poorly. The lady doing her nails wasn't able to do the design she wanted correctly. She said she was able to do the design but it ended up looking not even close to what my girlfriend wanted. My girlfriend was so polite to them and understanding but the workers were even cussing at her and saying bad things about her in their language which my girlfriend could understand. The workers ended up giving the supplies to my girlfriend to do her own nails which i don't understand why they say they can do a design when they really couldn't. She ended up paying over 70 dollars to do her own nails and get mistreate. 0/10 I wouldn't come here and risk this happening to you. read more

The nail salon is fairly new and found it when I came to the AAA office next door. I came on a Saturday mid-afternoon and it was not busy at all. It's in a very suburban neighborhood, so unless you're coming to one of the establishments or live in the area it will probably never get busy. The staff is nice and their prices are lower based on what I've paid in the area. The service I wanted was the classic manicure and pedicure $48 and if you pay cash you get a discount. Minus 1 star because they do try to upsell you on their more expensive gel polish, but I brought my own OPI nail polish and I clearly said I wanted a classic and told them no on a gel manicure 2x. I get it, gel lasts longer, but if I'm not interested don't be pushy and tell it's not going to last 24 hours. So if you want a basic manicure and pedicure this place is it, as you get what you pay for. My manicure did not last 24 hours before it started chipping when compared to other places I have gone or when I do my own nails, my manicure w/regular polish usually lasts at least 2-3 days. Not sure if it's that they don't let the polish dry in between coats, too many coats, or the top nail coat. Also they ruined my sweats. Later in the day when I changed out of my clothes, I noticed lines of oil stains on both legs of the sweat pants, due to the improper removal of the oil used or way too much oil used for the massage. I've already tried to wash my sweats 2x since I got the service and the stains do not gone away. So also removing another star because my sweats are ruined. Im sure this place has potential, if they focus on providing a better quality for their services and the details. Unfortunately I won't be returning. read more

Quality: 5/5 great experience GelX with Design (2 simple designs) costed $70 dollars (I picked out the colors and Kim was able to come up with some of her designs) Classic Pedicure with Gel: $60 (Should last me at least 1.5-2 months) Highly recommend this cute place~ All the Nail Technicians are fast and are quick to helping me out and I was out of there by 1.5 hours which is pretty good in my opinion. I got a garden variety manicure at Kim's Nail & Lash in Sabre Springs yesterday. It was a good price and the technician was nice, but I don't think she was qualified to be doing nails. She did cuticle removal with a nail sander (no joke). As a result, three of my nail beds started bleeding. They are inflamed today - photos below. I removed the nail polish last night because the polish job was lumpy and my nail beds stung. I will not return here, but the salon has been in my neighborhood for a long time so I imagine I just got a new or inexperienced technician. read more

These reviews have to be paid. I was definitely lured there because of the good reviews and pictures of the cute designs. I went in after work to update my nails to a valentines design, very minimal one just needed a heart in each nail. I asked before service if they could do it and said yes, they were taking long so they offered a pedicure, it wasn't busy like most salons either. I had closed shoes so I initially didn't come in for that. I regret saying yes because the lady hurt my toes so bad, I always get gel on my toes and have never had a problem removing gel and changing the color, this lady made my skin bleed of how much she was filing. I wish I would've taken the work day off to go to my usual lady. :( she's always very gentle and gives me a relaxing experience, that was not the case here, complimentary drink is also stated and never received it. I'm posting with the intent for businesses to say no if you can't provide what a client is requesting or offer a solution. I asked the lady if she could create a similar design and she was just not able to, I asked her for stickers or gems and she got up to look but came back with no ideas, I was open to suggestions and none were offered. I can't believe I paid that much for a mediocre job. I ended up coming with a full color nails all clumpy and thick, very disappointing and false advertising page here. She offered to come back the following day but couldn't because I have the event I was getting the nails done for the following day. I've included what I came in asking for and what I got. ( wanted that design with the color I chose) it's crazy to me that an establishment that is dedicated to that could not come up with a cuter design or something if mine wasn't their forte. I did not want to pay to be honest but did not know what to expect since I've never had this happen before and watched too many tik toks lol I don't want to be portrayed as I'm the one trying to dash or something. The service was truly not relaxing and far from amazing was expecting to come out of there wowed by creativity. Ivy agreed to do the job and did not deliver and admitted herself she didn't do a good job and didn't know why she wasn't able to draw the hearts. I don't remember the lady that did my pedicure but both were initially nice and welcoming. Pedicure lady I'm disappointed that she wasn't gentle and didn't want to do the cat eye gel, and ivy at the lack of suggestions and poor work. But anyways duly noted. read more

Wow just paid 48$ before tip for a pedicure with no massage. Putting lotion on my legs for 10 seconds does not count in my opinion. Very disappointed. Worst pedicure I've ever had and the nail tech didn't even ask which one I wanted. I couldn't get scrub or paraffin or a massage because she didn't ask and it was still 48. I've been there before and it was decent but I'll never be back. I even told the other woman who checked me out there was no massage and she didn't ask me which pedicure I wanted and she asked the tech who serviced me and she denied it. No discount, no apology, no customer service. I've never been more disappointed in a service before. And I've managed spas for years. I was shocked at 48$ for that. She did a soak-off in order to preserve my natural nail which I asked her to do, and she didn't pressure me to try any styles/tips/ designs that I didn't want. I'm so bummed, I really wanted to like this nail salon that was very close to where I live. First of all, when I had called I had mentioned I needed a fill with acrylic and gel which was advertised as $55.00, when I am consulted I and offered to try the gel X. Without fully going into detail about how much that would cost I just asked is it more costly than acrylic and the gentlemen responds yes but not too much more. I proceed with the service. After completed I must admit I loved the color and the style, but the bill was a shocker. The woman discussed that new clients get a discount so after the discount of my service my total came out to $72.00 ! It definitely was a shocker for me that it was that much a difference and I think the gentleman could of been more honest with me before trying to up-charge the service. Before leaving I was told to take a picture and leave a review for them. At the time and place I was still a little shocked but I did like the way my nails looked so I did. It has been less than a week and unfortunately I'm very disappointed thinking this gel X must be the new thing but the nails are ALL already to the point of popping off with one of them completely popping off on me. Never has this happened to me from a nail salon getting acrylic done so it's either the product or the application. I made an appointment for the early morning. I was greeted and asked if I wanted any coffee or tea. They recommended the coffee, which was delicious! I was then seated in a massage chair and given a heat pad for my shoulders which was amazing after coming from the gym! I showed them what I wanted and what color, and they did an amazing job! The price is right and affordable, the staff was nice as well. However, I have a few complaints. My friend and I both went in for a gel manicure and pedicure. My friend was cut on several on her fingers bleeding until well after her appointment. My pinky toe was cut and she tried to play it off as if she hadn't cut my toe. It stung, she sprayed it with alcohol which stung even worse and never even glanced up to apologize. She did a good job on the rest of the pedicure but I would assume an apology or some kind of discount is called for. It's 24 hours later and the cut still stings and is fully open. It wasnt just a scratch she fully cut off a portion of my skin. Additionally, after we both left we noticed how the lines of our manicures weren't clean. Uneven, going over the edges on the sides and towards the cuticles. As someone who does my own nails, I expect that when i'm paying someone else to do it, it will come out clean. The staff was very nice and attentive but I think they are just missing the small extra step. Take some extra time so you aren't cutting your customers and making sure everything looks clean. read more
