They also sold waffle fries and Korean rice cakes m. I was kind of weirded out because it was just sitting in the front under a lamp. It didn't look that appetizing.. The corn dogs finally finished and I walked back to work. Luckily, I still had a cheese-pull when I ate it. There wasn't any wow factor when I ate it, and also I think I chose a bad sauce to pair with it. The deal still works if you order their combo specials which is so worth. $10 combo you can pick any corn dog with a side or drink. $15 combo you can get corn dog, drink and a side. One corn dog is super really because they use a lot of batter. I'm not complaining it's worth your money. For the sides I do recommend their black bean noodle which comes with spicy sausage. We dropped by before 2pm on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all. There were no other customers in the store at the time. Our order consisted of a lunch combo (potato corn dog with mozzarella + waffle fries, $8.49), a potato corn dog with half sausage half mozzarella ($5.99) and sweet potato fries (5.49). I see other reviewers have also experienced a long wait time despite the store not being super busy. It took approximately 15 minutes for us to get our order. Corn dogs and fries were still warm and crispy and the size of the corn dogs were pretty big (generously coated with potatoes). You can choose any sauces you want, but they only give you a light drizzle on top. My half sausage half mozzarella corn dogs was a disappointment. It was hollow where the mozzarella cheese was supposed to be and while you do get a cheese pull, it was barely there. You could see the sausage right away after your first bite into the corn dogs and that says a lot. And for my sister who ordered the fully mozzarella cheese corn dog, it was an even bigger disappointment since it was hollow throughout...her corn dog kept sliding around on the stick because there was nothing holding it there. Felt like we were mostly paying for the corn dog breading. Both their sweet potato fries and waffle fries were decent. (reasonable portion and price). However, I personally prefer sweet potato fries over regular fries which is why we didn't end up with two lunch combos. Their lunch combo is fixed and comes with their waffle fries. Ordered a combo that came with corndog, ddeokbokki, and fries. They charge 50 cents for a paper bag, which is kinda expensive? Most places I've been to only charge 5 or 10 cents a bag and if it's more than that it's usually a reusable bag. The best part of the combo was the corn dog - I got the spicy one and it was good, tasted like hot cheetos on the outside and wasn't undercooked, as mentioned in some other reviews. Fries were okay but came in a really small portion. The ddeokbokki was terrible. It's just ricecakes and sauce without any other ingredients which I can get pass but if it is going to be just ricecakes and sauce- at least make the sauce good? I walked by this shop after a day of running errands and was starving! So I decided to give it a try. Ordered two corn dogs and a ramen. The corn dogs were mediocre, I've had better. The size was smaller than the ones from Ktown, the hotdog wasn't that great and the cheese was very little. The ramen was more of a disappointment. It was like instant chajang noodles where they just sprinkled extra condiments on top to fancy it. I was so excited to see a Korean Corndog place open up on 8th Avenue! There aren't any Korean food options in the area so this is certainly a great addition to the neighborhood. Location: They are located at the corner of 60th street and 8th Avenue, where the Tbaar was once located. Accessible via the N train/B70/B9. This is a very busy area so expect to wait a bit for your order. The store is also quite small. Corn dogs: I got the classic/spice lover/crazy potato. All were super crunchy, especially the crazy potato. The spice lover was not that spicy and had great flavor (loved loved the flavor). The hotdogs are good and the cheese didn't taste that cheesy but was still good. Compared to Korean corndogs in ktown, these are smaller. Grand opening: they just opened up yesterday and are quite behind on orders because each corn dog is made fresh to order. I went in the afternoon and they were out of the half & half and triangle kimbap options. They were backed up on orders and the wait was around 45 minutes to an hour. It seemed like they were not well prepared for their opening but hopefully as it progresses, their wait time won't be as long and they will have enough supplies to last the day. Overall, I'm so happy to have a Korean corn dog place on 8th Ave. They just opened so their wait time is longer and they will likely run out of supplies. Expect to wait some time for your order. Honestly, I was so excited when this place first opened. Opening week I visited with my boyfriend and since then I've visited twice. Today I decided to write a review on my 3rd visit here. First, the Tteokbokki was pretty bad. Personally, I prefer chewy rice cake. This rice cake is squishy but the ends of it are chewy/hard which is...gross lol. Maybe thats just me. Found this place on Uber Eats and I was super excited to try it because there's nothing like it nearby! Upon receiving the order, however, I was extremely disappointed. This food is NOT cheap, and for what they give you it is a complete waste of money. The iced tea is clearly powdered iced tea from the super market (think Lipton brand). It is $3.99 for the Iced Tea. The fries were clearly frozen fries from the supermarket (think Ore-ida). The fries are $4.99. And an extremely small portion! I was shocked by how little fries they gave me - and they came in a tiny little paper bag. In the photo I transferred them to a paper bowl I had at home. The tteokbokki was a larger portion, and probably the only decent part of my meal. It was $9.99, however. Onto the worst part of my meal - for a place known for their corn dogs, this was extremely upsetting. My mozz corn dog had so much batter on it and it was completely raw on the inside. Attached are some photos of how raw it truly was. The mozzarella on the inside was ice cold. I took one bite, could taste the raw flour, and immediately refused to eat any more. I don't want to get sick. Overall - I cannot see this place lasting much longer unless they make some serious changes. I've ordered from here a couple times, and it pales in comparison to Oh K-Dog and Two Hands (the latter is my favorite), but it's the only option available nearby in Brooklyn, so what can you do when you're craving a K-Dog? I would say that the K-Dogs here are probably their best menu item, everything else is not recommended because they're not up to par at all. Out of the different K-Dogs, the Spice Lover is the best, followed by Kim's Classic and Crazy Potato. The Crunchy Ramen one was weird and I haven't tried the sweet K-Dogs because I've found I like savory ones more, from my K-Dog eating experience. I liked the cheese filling, but the sausage is definitely not as juicy as the top tier K-Dogs from Manhattan. Overall, on average, 3/5. The kimbap was bland, the rice type is wrong, the filling was bleh and fell out everywhere, and there's no flavor from the sauce either. Avoid this. 1/5 The tteokkbokki, also super bland. The portion size is good but I found myself not wanting to eat more, because it's just flavorless sticky rice cakes in red-colored water. Don't recommend at all. 1/5 The fries are decent, the flavoring is a bit weak but I love waffle fries, and they pair well with the K-Dogs. They're the right texture and the portion is alright, but they could have been a bit more generous with it, in my opinion. 3/5 The lemonade is awful and is basically sour water, but I got this because of the combo option, which makes the meal more worth it, compared to ordering a la carte. Perhaps I'll try the iced tea next time, but I doubt it'll be much better. 2/5 All in all, a decent substitute if craving K-Dogs in Brooklyn. Frozen Korean corn dogs that you buy from Hmart taste a lot better. I do like how HUGE their corn dogs are. - Kimchi sausage triangle kimbap was absolutely delicious. Rice to filling proportion/ratio was phenomenal! Each bite I took had kimchi and sausage. Most places don't spread the filling evenly or don't have enough filling. It's nice to see something new and different in the neighborhood. First, it's located at a convenient location, in front of a bus stop and near the N train. There is no seating, only a standing area if someone's not already leaning there while waiting to order or waiting on their order. There's a limited menu of the kdogs, fries and tteobokki (rice cake) as there weren't any kimbap triangles (rice balls) available. Due to limited space, the drinks are next to the register, along with the fries, openly not blocked off to the customers. The heating lamp wasn't even turned on to keep the fries warm. I also need to mention, the cashier did not have gloves on while working the cashier and then going to fill the fries. The hygenic awareness of the staff is highly questionable. Being that this place is new, the wait is rather long. We stood in line for 30 mins just to reach the register and the line wasn't even long. Then the wait for the actual product is another half hour. Expect to wait around an hour to get your food. They also are understaffed as the cashier was left empty, while there's a whole line waiting. The size of the crazy potato are not consistent. We ordered two of them and one was clearly much smaller. In addition, only one side of the kdog was covered in potato. This is definitely not worth the wait or price, even if it is currently buy two get one free. The taste is pretty average. I got a Crazy Potato corndog and while it was super good the first bite, I realized the corndog batter was NOT throughly cooked. there is still a visible layer of raw batter around the sausage.
