About six months ago I tried Touch Of Beauty nail bar for the first time and stopped going anywhere else. They do such a great job with gel and powder dip manicures (pedicures are great too!) and what I love is that they take appointments and adhere to these appointments instead of making you wait a long time to be seated. It is never too crowded in here either so it feels relaxing and I love how efficient they are getting you in and out and under an hour with beautiful nails! They also specialize in eyelash extensions too, however, I can't speak to the service as I have never had that done, but I often see people come in for eyelash appointments. Kicked me out of her salon because I asked for my cuticles to be pushed back more. If you're in disbelief, so am I. I went to Hai for my wedding nails in 2014 and was happy with her work. Started coming back weekly to her this year and have seen her about 6 times. She's adorable and I loved talking to her about skincare and beauty treatments. I just can't believe how she treated me today. I may be a slightly picky client, I know that. But why can't you be when you're paying top dollar for a service and coming weekly?! I always give her feedback of her work the next time see her, like: the last mani I had was so beautiful and stayed on for a week! or Hey, last top coat left lines the next day (light pink nails photo) or the polish didn't go to the edge of my nail so it left that part exposed and brittle which caused breakage. Again, I'm not going to apologize for that. I don't know if she was having a bad day today or what, but it's completely unacceptable what she did. First off, I could tell she was in a rush but that doesn't mean I'm not allowed to give feedback or that my appointment is less important than others. I asked her to clean under my nails one more time because there was still dirt. She handed me the tools and asked me to do it because she didn't want to poke me. No big deal, I thought. That makes sense. I don't know if that pissed her off or what because when I asked a few moments ago if she could slow down and push back my cuticles a little more, she snapped. I said I'd be happy to forgo my pedicure so I could get a slower manicure. she said "you know what, I may not be the right fit for you so let me just stop". WTF?! I asked her if she had another client because I could tell she was rushing and she said yes. She apparently doesn't believe in pushing back the cuticles too much because it will cause infection. I said why didn't you just tell me that then instead of kicking me out. I'm a reasonable person and it's not like we had any tension before or bad vibes. So weird! She begrudgingly finished my mani (burgundy photo) after I explained is Saturday and no one else can take me last minute. And I still didn't get my pedi. And sure enough, her next client came strolling in one hour after my appointment time. Funny, normally we always allow 1.25-1.5 hours for mani/pedi, not try to cram both in an hour. I'm sorry I had to leave this review, but it was well-earned. Hai could have done 20 awful manis on me and I still would not have left a bad review if she was nice. And there was one time she completely forgot about my appointment and had to drive down to the shop after I called her. Again, don't really care about that, we are all human. But the service today (or lack there of) was horrendous and just negated every prior experience I'd had. It was completely awful and made me feel like crap. In response to the Salon's reply: A quick "I don't feel comfortable pushing back your cuticles" would have sufficed instead of abruptly quitting the job and me having to talk her into finish it. I didn't want a free mani. I wanted good customer service.

Jennifer normally does my nails, and she does an amazing job every time. She always gets the shape exactly how I like it and hand-draws the most beautiful designs. For Christmas, she did a deer and Christmas leaf design, and I've also had a flower design that looked like a beautiful Hawaiian flower. This time, May did my nails, and she also did an amazing job. It actually ended up being some of the best looking gel x extensions but it definitely came at a cost. The glue under my nails 3 weeks later smells like fungus. While I was at the nail salon, i definitely spotted a cockroach with another client. She overcharged me by 30 dollars because im a classpass client . She was very loud and overstimulating. She almost made me late to a pediatric apt because she was screaming that she could do my pedi in 10 mins and to stay, it was a bit much.
