Timing and distance is the only reason I went to another salon. One was so uncomfortable and the lady was extremely rude the second place the lady after I told her twice burnt me. With this being said I will not go anywhere else but with Katie. I live in el cerrito so it is a drive and with traffic can take over an hr but she is so worth it. Her space is always clean the having slight ice this puts me at ease. The wax is always top quality and never once over a dozen times too hot or caused any irritation. She is also extremely kind and works at a speed I don't feel rushed but it is fast I can get in and out writhing 30 min if I don't chat her ear off too much. Her booking system is easy but I find it best to reschedule ahead to get my desired appointment she books out. If you are new to waxing or a seasoned waxed looking for a fabulous wax Katie is your girl. I appreciate her making a service that can be scary and painful as painless as possible. I've lived in several different states and cities, so I've had my fair share of Brazilian sugaring and waxing experiences. She is incredibly detail-oriented, and I've never left an appointment with missed patches or stray hairs. She always makes sure to get everything. Beyond that, she truly goes above and beyond to provide the best care. I tend to get a lot of ingrown hairs, and she's been so helpful in teaching me how to prevent and treat them at home. She also takes the time to address them during each appointment, which has made such a difference. She creates such a comfortable, welcoming environment and checks in throughout the appointment to make sure you're doing okay. Brazilians are never completely painless, but Serena makes the experience as seamless and comfortable as possible. It's easily the least painful Brazilian sugaring experience I've ever had.
