Really enjoyed this place. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy without being greasy. We tried a few other things too and ended up liking everything. Portions are huge, so definitely come hungry!

This is a very cozy and casual restaurant. Stopped here on lunch break with a few co workers. We arrived around 11:45 and called ahead for a table to beat the lunch crowd. Ordering is easy but it did take a while for us to receive our food only because it was made fresh to order which I appreciate. We got a variety of items to share. The Mal la style fried chicken was my favorite! It was spicy but so flavorful. I've never tasted anything like it. The chicken with the red sauce was a little sweet for me but my table enjoyed. Highly recommend the side of jap chae, it was delicious pairing with the chicken. You get a lot of food for the price. It's a little small and casual inside. Service is quick and everyone is so friendly!

I came back for round 2. It's a little expensive however you get a ton of food that I was able to use as leftovers. The kimchi friend chicken was delish. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be which was good. I will definitely be back again!

My favorite chicken is the snow cheese. I actually accidentally ordered it (it is normally not something I would go for), but it ended being my favorite! If you prefer dry seasoning as opposed to wet sauce, this is a great option. The japchae and kimchi fried rice are pretty tasty too. I've always just grabbed my order to go since it's hard to dine in with kids. I call to place my order, and they give you a call back when your food is ready. Super convenient.

Driving through and saw that they had a Kimchi Red. Service was fast and friendly. My go to Kimchi fried rice didn't disappoint. Ambience is fun and well lit.

Wow, amazing chicken and flavor! What a hidden gem. But holly cow, the portion size are huge! We had a couple of locals and they went home happy with tons of take aways.

I've been here a couple of times and I'm obsessed -- I absolutely love this spot! This time I tried the ramen noodles and they were so yummy and creamy. The fried chicken was topped with the noodles, and it was such a good combo! The portions are family-style, which I love. You don't have to wait long, the employees are super friendly, and there's parking right outside. Definitely go try this place!

Best fried chicken in the nation? Ok, sure, I'll bite. I've had this place on my radar for months, and I finally found time to grab some food here with friends and... it was alright. We went during lunch, and it was already packed. The place itself was smaller than expected, and it was a bit of a tight fit when everyone needs to order at the counter. At one point, there was a line to the door! There are two cashiers, and drinks are placed nearby, so it's hard to not be in the way. While dining in, it also felt cramped when there's people lining up to order near you, so hopefully you (and your group) are able to grab a good table to sit at. So the fried chicken is nothing spectacular. It was good, but it did not wow me. I would be just as happy (or maybe happier) getting Korean fried chicken from a chain (bbq chicken, Pelicana, etc.), esp given the price at Kimchi Red is higher but does not taste better. The chicken was cooked well and was crisp when we got it, but that's to be expected, right? The sauce was fine. Not my preferred, but we got Buldak bc of socials. It was very creamy, which helps fight against how spicy Buldak sauce is. Personally would've liked it to be spicier, but we all eat varying levels of spice, so it's better to play it safe. We also got K-Mega fries to share, and my friends wanted kimchi fried rice. The fries were probably the best part of the meal for me. It came out loaded and was much bigger than anticipated. Each bite was different from the previous and helped it not get too boring for me. The kimchi fried rice was surprisingly bland. The bits of kimchi you get in certain bites come through as sour, and it wasn't spicy. It looks great, but don't let that fool you. Get something else. Will I be back? Not by choice. If someone I knew wanted to go to try, yeah ok, I'll tag along to see if it got better, but I won't be planning on it. At least I know the K-Mega fries would be good and worth getting.

Kimchi Red is my family and I's favorite restaurant ever! Nothing beats kimchi Red! Everything is absolutely delicious.

The food at Kimchi Red was decent, but it didn't quite live up to the price. We ordered the fried chicken with kimchi, half Krispy chicken, fries, and the bulgogi bowl. The fried chicken with kimchi had a generous portion size and could easily serve 2-3 people. The chicken was crispy and juicy, but there was way too much kimchi for my taste and it overpowered the dish. The half Krispy chicken was solid, though nothing extraordinary. Fries were average, and the bulgogi bowl was just okay according to my husband. Not a bad experience overall, but I'm not sure it was worth what I paid. The service was mediocre because it's counter service. You had to get your own water and clean up after yourself as if you're at a fast food restaurant.

My daughter saw this place on TikTok and has begged me for weeks to go check it out. We went on a Saturday afternoon and I was shocked it was in like a strip mall but it was cute inside. What I didn't like were the portions. Totally ridiculous you have to order so much food. Chicken is expensive and you have to get a shareable amount. We got the chef choice chicken with fried rice and the loaded fries cause we couldn't choose which side to order. I would just get the fries next time. Everything was good but we took so much food home. Will bring at least 4 people with us next time we go.

Voted best on the nation for a reason. A friend brought a group of us here a few months ago. I don't usually eat fried food but this is exceptional. Highly recommend.

My family has been talking this up for months, and the wait was worth it! Small spot, with delicious double-fried Korean chicken. We ordered family style and shared. Honey butter and Rose Chon were absolute hits!

Some of the best Korean fried chicken I've had. They have unique flavors. The Kimchi fries were a bit basic though.

Amazing fried chicken. Large portions though! Says for 2, but for lunch, I think 4 people can share an order of chicken, plus a side item.

What do they fry their chicken in?

What items on the menu are halal?

All the chicken I believe. It has a sign on there that says halal. I see alot of brothers n sisters with their family eating. So I assume it's legit. Obviously we can't eat the pork. I have tried their beef.

How many wings come in the Large order?

They do it by weight, but usually enough for 2-3 people per order.

The place is huge and there were plenty of open seats. The crowd was mixed and there was a lively bar area with sports on TVs and some firefighters eating there as well (so you know it's good!) We of course got the AYCE deal and they have a menu you can order off of or a buffet with ready to eat food. The buffet had select flavors and other side items. We ordered some of the medium wings from the waitress and they came out a few minutes later and there were so many of them. They don't skimp! The wings could have been crispier and were small, but since it was AYCE, who cares!

I'm not so sure on that. Some where between the 2 my burger patty and all my fixen's got lost. Maybe they jumped ship and went to someone else's order. But either way I paid for a classic smash burger which comes with 2 patty's and an extra patty. Needless to say I got 2 patty's with some sauce. Where's the fixens? Yea I won't be returning to any of their chains.

The sauces are a real highlight, especially the gochujang-based one, which was absolutely phenomenal. They're generous with the sauce, too, which adds even more flavor to an already well-executed dish. That said, it's hard to ignore the price point. This is easily the most expensive Korean fried chicken spot I've been to. While the quality justifies the cost to an extent, it's still a noticeable jump from other similar places. And while the chicken is very good, it's not necessarily the best in Atlanta--though it's definitely in the top tier. Another thing that stood out was the lack of lower-cost or smaller portion options. There were only half and whole birds available, with no quarter bird or sandwich options, which makes it difficult for someone looking for a more affordable or lighter meal. It feels like they're missing an opportunity to appeal to a broader lunch crowd. In short: it's pricey, but you're getting high-quality, expertly prepared Korean fried chicken. Just be prepared to spend a bit more--and maybe come hungry.
