Food is okay, but the value is poor for what you pay. The restaurant is set up similar to a Subway or poke bowl concept--you choose a base and some protein, vegetables, and sauce, and they'll prepare it for you. But the final product is mostly rice or noodles with a modest amount of protein and vegetables. For their basic $15 bowl, you can choose two proteins and three vegetables. But the final product will be mostly simple carbs. Also, a lot of Asian buffets will have a Mongolian grill concept included with the price of the buffet, and then you can choose all the proteins and vegetables you want. The restaurant does have a fun concept in an independently rotating pot, so they can theoretically be preparing eight bowls at once. But outside of that, I don't consider it a good value for the money. A poke bowl would give you far more value. read more

Whealthy is almost there, I think they have a pretty sweet concept and some unique equipment to carry out their vision. They are just missing the final execution to tie everything together. Known for their build your own stir fry, Whealthy takes the Chipotle style selection process and turns it into a place where custom stir-fries are at your fingertips. I actually really like their general concept. You choose a flavor profile, a grain, some veggies and a couple of meats to round out your creation. They mix everything into a rotating pot-like cooker, a piece of equipment that I've never seen before. The spinning motion mixes all of your ingredients together and the large flame cooks everything in the pot and puts on a show. While the food in general tastes decent, the preparation seems a bit clumsy and unrefined. I came to try their fried rice and the final product ended up being a container of mushy rice with all of my meats and vegetables. I think the rice ended up becoming too oily and wet from the stir fry sauce, causing the rice to become mushy. I came on another instance and ordered their pad thai. Although I chose the ingredients, the final product resembled nothing of a pad thai. First off, they don't have rice noodles so I settled for udon noodles, not the biggest deal. The big problem was that when I received the final dish, all of the noodles were sitting in a pool of liquid, and a lot of it. Again, it caused the udon noodles to become mushy, and pad thai isn't even a liquidy dish to begin with. In the end, there was enough liquid to act a soup. Again, the final dish tasted decent, but had some flaws. My final complaint is that lack of spice control. The jump from mild to medium gets really spicy way too quickly. Whenever I order mild, it's missing some flavor and flair. When I order medium, my mouth becomes a blaze. There needs to be some middle ground spice level in my opinion. Overall, Whealthy just needs to tighten a few things up and they will be perfect! read more

Essentially the menu showcases a variety of cooking options and then as you go down the counter, you can custom pick your noodle style, 3x vegetables, and 2x proteins. I ordered the Egg Ram don bowl with egg noodles, mushrooms, green onions, broccoli, shrimp, and pork belly. They didn't seem to be that strict on 3x veggie limit so that's nice too. After ordering, the staff makes your bowl individually behind the counter and you get to see the blow torch heating up the food. It's a unique concept and definitely a great way to keep food separate for anyone with diet restrictions, as each cooker gets changed out between uses. I was beyond pleasantly surprised when finally stepped through the door, and decided to give it a shot. I am not sure what I was expecting, but it surpassed my expectations. I really enjoyed the novelty of the barrels in which they cook the food. It reminds me of a sample coffee roaster (I am a bit of a coffee geek, and long time coffee professional). The menu was fairly simple, I think 8 main options, but then the ability to customize your dish was nearly limitless. Several different proteins, animal and plant based, including pork belly! Yeah! Then you choose noodles (Spaghetti, Udon & Egg) or rice (white or brown). 2 proteins (Tofu, Shrimp, Pork Belly, Beef & Chicken (dark meat only) and 3 veggies (jalapenos, roasted tomatoes, zucchini etc.) for $11.95. My chef recommended the Creamy Pasta which didn't disappoint. They were out of spaghetti so I chose egg noodles (stellar), chicken and pork belly, (bad combo but more about that later,) carrots, mushrooms and broccoli. The carrots had seen better days but the other toppings were fresh. The meat was cooked in a fire pot which was pretty cool to watch. In 15 minutes my meal was piping hot & layered with fresh parmesan cheese! The verdict - DELICIOUS. The portion wasn't huge but more than enough for the average appetite, especially at that price point. I was satiated. I LOVED the creamy sauce and the egg noodles especially! I'd never had pork belly & didn't care for its chewy, bacon fat texture & the sliced carrots were hard. But it was my creation.. This is my second time ordering out from Whealthy and I have mixed feelings about them being less than a mile from my home. On one hand, I'm happy to have finally found some decent shrimp fried rice that I enjoy, these Chinese restaurants out here just don't compare to what I'm used to. On the other hand, I will have to practice self control whenever I'm hungry and feeling lazy because this spot could easily be added to my weekly food rotation! My two issues are how oily the rice is (both times I've purchased from here I have found the rice to be excessively oily) and the fact that they're putting piping hot food into cheap plastic containers. This promotes leaching, which is the transfer of leaking of chemicals from the plastic into the food. I know tons of companies use these types of plastic containers, but the fact is that they're extremely unhealthy, so it's disappointing that a company claiming to promote that "health is wealth" would use them. read more

I'm new to the area and stopped into Whealthy yesterday for dinner and I'm glad I did! The man at the register was extremely kind and patient, walking me through his recommendations for me as a first timer (I got the sweet stir fry noodles with chicken/shrimp + mushrooms/cabbage/onions) and it did not disappoint! I ended up ordering at the little kiosk, but I think next time I will order with a person if possible because I missed out on a few of the veggies they had to offer not knowing how to navigate the screen. Everything is cooked to order and PIPING HOT when it is removed from the fire contraption they use to cook things up. For the price point, I definitely think it's worth it since I ate off of it twice. I can't wait to go back to try something else! I've seen this place for almost a year now and finally decided to give it a go. Party had the bulgogi pasta (udon, beef, shrimp) and the spicy stir fry pasta (udon, beef, shrimp). The bulgogi pasta was decent but could use a little more bulgogi flavor to it, and likely better as a rice dish instead of a pasta dish. The stir fry pasta was really flavorful but be careful with the spice level. Medium here is probably a little more on the Hot side for most people. Don't know if this place overtakes my typical go-tos for quick noodles or rice dishes, but I do like to have options. read more

They had me at customizable. Wealthy is a customizable fusion grill located in a busy shopping center off of Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. On weekends parking can be a pain due to so many shops located in the same strip. There is 10 minute parking available in front of the restaurant, so if you circle the parking lot a few times eventually you will find a spot. I ordered online and the process was easy. You first select your carb with the choices of white or brown rice and a variety of noodles to choose from. I ordered the spicy stir fry with shrimp. My meal came with 3 veggies and two proteins, extras come with a fee. Their prices are a tad high for fast Asian cuisine but the freshness and presentation made it all worthwhile. Customer service was good. My food was ready upon arrival and the entire staff greeted me when I walked in. The restaurant looked neat and clean. My food was good. My veggies and shrimp were cooked to perfection. I love that they cook the food in fire pots thus eliminating the need to saturate the food in oil which makes it so much healthier than most other casual Asain restaurants. Not a fan. It reminds me of how Chow Baby was, you choose what you want in your food or lo mein noodles and the type of noodles and the flavor they cook it with. But the options are limited and the flavors are hit and miss. There was also a problem with the drink machine where all the drinks were flat. And the gave up trying to fix it. While doing a Yelp search for restaurants near me that were open at 6 pm today, I found Whealthy. The description of the restaurant (Wealthy + Healthy = Whealthy) intrigued me: "Whealthy is customizable fusion grilling in our innovative rotating fire pots.  Our customers assemble their own creation selecting from a variety of fresh vegetables, proteins, and noodles or rice.  Masterfully flavored with one of our many unique sauces, our chefs will make your creation come to life in our open kitchen." This sounded similar to Mongolian BBQ to me, so, after telling R about it, we decided to give Whealthy a try. This is a new restaurant in the Sandy Springs Plaza, where parking, especially at peak hours, can be challenging due to so many popular businesses that are in the shopping center. I found a parking space close to Whealthy and we walked in. Lucky for us, we were the only customers in there at the time, so we asked about the food. The employees took the time to explain to us the different flavors and the various ingredients that could be added to compliment the noodle or rice we selected. They were so patient. The main thing that I remembered is that the pictures on the menus were just examples of what some combinations looked like. The menu is kind of confusing, but here's my attempt at a simplified description: You pick one out of 6 "styles" of cooking: Vongole (noodle) spicy, Cream (noodle), Egg Ram (noodle) mild spicy, Whealthy (rice) spicy, Grill (rice) spicy, Sweet (rice) mild spicy. For the 3 noodle noodle styles, you can select one of 3 types of noodles: spaghetti, udon or egg noodles. For the 3 rice styles, you can select one of 2 types of rice: steamed white rice or brown rice. For all styles, you can select up to 3 veggies: mushroom, broccoli, onion, corn, carrot, spinach, and many more veggies that I can't remember. For all styles, you select up to 2 proteins: pork belly, chicken, beef, shrimp. I know ... still confusing, huh? Anyhow, I ordered the Grill style, with white rice, mushroom, broccoli, onion, shrimp and pork belly. R ordered Vongole style, with udon, mushroom, onion, spinach, chicken and shrimp. We watched as the employees scooped up everything we ordered. Note: the white rice was separated from everything else until it was time to plate the food. The employees, and there were four of them in the front when we were there (and at least one in the back), fired up two of the rotating pots and got them hot so they could cook our food in them, adding the ingredients in a timely manner so that they all got cooked to the proper doneness without being overdone. The employees used long wooden chop sticks to stir the food in the rotating pots. Wow! Blue, yellow and red flames! There were a few times when there were flare ups, and I was afraid that someone was going to lose their eyebrows! It took them no longer than 5 minutes to cook each of our meals. R's came out first and was given to him in a stoneware bowl at the counter. R's Vongole style with udon, mushroom, onion, spinach, chicken and shrimp was given a healthy dose of parmesan cheese topping and some parsley, and the whole bowl looked great and smelled so good. My meal soon followed at the counter. My white rice was placed into the bowl, then the rest of the ingredients was poured out of the hot pot into the bowl. Mmmmm ... I could see some sauce left from the cooking process being poured into the bottom of my bowl. My meal got a sprinkling of sesame seeds and a drizzle of mayo. We sat down at one of the tables and admired our meals, then we dug in. Mine was spicy, as advertised. I liked the combination of ingredients that I picked out. I mashed the rice down so that the sauce at the bottom would be soaked up by the rice. This meal was absolutely delicious! I would definitely order the same thing again. The pork belly pieces were cooked long enough for the fat to be slightly crisp (like thick bacon) without making the meat hard. I tried R's meal, and it was also good. I think his meal was supposed to be spicier, but I thought mine was spicier than his. R said that he would order the same things except for getting the egg noodles instead of the udon. I was so amazed at the wonderful flavors. The restaurant is neat and clean. Tables (mainly for two people each) allowed people to spread out, and, while we were eating, a group of six people came in and were able to sit at a table for six near the door. A newly located food in Sandy Springs. It's near all the other food places in the area. The store is in the plaza with many other stores, so parking can be easy or difficult depending on the time of the day. I went in on a Saturday late lunch. The place was pretty empty. Since it's a new place, all the interior is clean. The food takes about 5-10 minutes to cook from fresh. Since there are lots of wok stations, I imagine even on the peak time the waiting time won't be that bad? I chose a ramdon with egg noodles, shrimp, and pork belly. The portions are more than generous that I could not finish the meal. Since everything was cooked right there, the veggies and proteins were cooked just right. My dish was a bit oily, but that was to be expected as I got the pork belly. Really solid place overall to try. I wish the portion sizes were a bit smaller for a lower price though. Fire is pretty cool. Good, quick food is also pretty cool. Whealthy works by picking a dish type, then a noodle, 3 veggies, 2 meats. If you want sesame seeds, seaweed, or a fried egg, you can do that too. I got the Ramdon with Egg Noodles, Steak, Shrimp, Broccoli, Onion, and Bean Sprouts. No idea if that's authentic or not but it's what I did. It comes out pretty quick, maybe 5 minutes, but since you're watching it cook that's more than reasonable. Dining in is a little bit of a pain since they only have a few drink choices and the dine in space is limited. This might be better to go. However, for a good sized meal at 15 dollars including a drink, this is a cool addition to the area! Addendum: I ordered Vongole Pasta and Cream Pasta to go yesterday. I ate the spicy vongole pasta as soon as it was delivered. While very tasty, there was a substantial pool of oil that collected. The spice was serious, and it was fairly tasty, but the primary component of it was oil. The Cream Pasta was NOT good. There was hardly any cream. Perhaps it was due to eating it the next day, but this did not reheat well at all. Even more oil pooled on the bottom, even after blending it into the meal as best as i could several tablespoons were left over. While there was cream flavor, I could not tell that there was any actual cream sauce. I really liked the Ramdon, the Vongole was good but oily, and the Cream Pasta was a bizarre disappointment. I was semi concerned when I walked in and it smelled heavily of cleaner. Minimal amount of veggies and protein for the basic 12.99 bowl. You can always add more but that would increase the cost. Just mainly noddles. The services was ok, meaning you order a kiosks while works are making the food so contact with employees was minimal and by minimal I mean there wasn't any. The bowl is mainly noodles in sauce, we tried the pad Thai and the spicy creamy one. The pad Thai was not pad Thai at all but the sauce was ok.
