Our go to neighborhood place for an easy and convenient meal. Updated my post with current menu prices. Everything has gone up, but still a good value in my opinion.

Covid-19 takeout review. Beef koobideh ($10.99): the beef was juicy, but could use a little more seasonings. Chicken koobideh ($10.99): better than the beef for sure. The koobideh was HUGE and juicy. The flavors were there, but a little more seasonings and a grilled chili pepper would make the meal much better. Most places even serve koobideh or kabab with sliced onions or salad. Friendly service, but kinda odd LOL 3.5 stars!! Kimia is kinda yummylicious!!

I decided to give it a try last Saturday and the rice was rotten. I drove 45 minutes to this place and noticed when I got home. I had to throw the rice away. I was so upset I wasn't sure who to complain to. Very disappointing. Definitely not going back.

Their portions are generous. This is not even a third of the eggplant stew that was actually in another container.

Consistently a must-go whenever I'm in Anaheim Hills. They have different types of rice and specials on each day. Today I branched out and got the eggplant. The portion size is more than enough to make up for anyone complaining about the price, which was totally reasonable. This picture shows only about 1/3 of the eggplant, the rest was still in another box. Karina hooked me up today. This picture shows only about 1/3 of the eggplant, the rest was still in another box and was enough for two to share. Another day, the gentleman who looked like the owner took great care serving up the Lamb shank, gave me the rice with red berries, always hooking me up with some roasted tomato, and tahdig (crispy rice). Can't imagine the negative reviews but this is a little food court inside a grocery store, not some fancy restaurant. They do a great job.

The beef shawarma was juicy and seasoned really well, and watching the shawarma spinning while they prepare everything was such a nice touch. The kafta was also delicious. Freez mix drinks so refreshing from Cyprus. And the pita was so soft and fresh -- definitely worth getting with your meal. Creps with nutella were perfect deser. The interior very traditional Lebanese. Taboleuh salad I highly recommend to try. Overall, great Mediterranean food, good portions, and lots of flavor. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu!

It's only about 7 minutes from the parks, making it the perfect lunch or dinner spot if you're craving something flavorful that won't leave you feeling heavy. Everything we ordered was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The spinach pastry was hands down my favorite, perfectly flaky with a delicious savory filling. The potato pastry was a close second and just as satisfying. If you visit, don't skip the pastries! We also tried the steak and chicken kebab combo plate, and both were cooked perfectly. The chicken was especially tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully. You can actually watch the meat being cooked fresh in the back, which made the whole experience feel even more authentic. I ordered the veggie plate with falafel, baba ganoush, tabbouleh, hummus, and tahini sauce, and every single item was delicious. The falafel really stood out. It had a perfectly seasoned, crispy exterior with a soft, flavorful center. Dipping it into the baba ganoush, hummus, and tahini made every bite even better. One of my favorite things was that the meal was incredibly satisfying without feeling greasy or overly heavy. It was fresh, filling, and packed with flavor, but I still felt great afterward. The staff was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, and the service was impressively fast. They also have a great selection of Mediterranean spices if you want to bring some of those incredible flavors home. Huge compliments to the chef and the entire team. Between the fresh ingredients, authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent service, Zait Zataar has definitely earned a spot on my list of favorite Mediterranean restaurants. I'll absolutely be coming back!

But the "Catch Feelings" Chicken Wrap at Kareem's? It genuinely needs a emotional warning label. I ordered it thinking I was just grabbing a quick bite on the go. Big mistake. Huge. Now I'm driving down Brookhurst having a full-blown existential crisis because a wrap has better structural integrity and emotional depth than most people I've dated. First off, whoever is back there assembling these wraps isn't just making food; they are practicing architectural geometry. Most spots toss your veggies in like they're launching confetti at a parade, leaving you with one bite of pure lettuce and another of pure existential dread. Not Kareem's. Every single bite is a masterclass in balance: vibrant, bright, colorful veggies that actually crunch, perfectly seasoned and juicy protein, and a sauce so ridiculously good I'm convinced it's strictly classified under international law. It's colorful, it's mouth-watering, and yes, I absolutely caught feelings. I am now in a committed relationship with a pita-wrapped masterpiece. And can we talk about the hummus? Smooth as a smooth-talking salesperson, richer than a crypto influencer, and paired with proteins that are cooked with actual respect. If you are anywhere near 1208 S Brookhurst St, do yourself a favor and stop by. Just be prepared: you will leave addicted, you will crave it at 2 AM on a Tuesday, and you will never look at a standard wrap the same way again. 10/10, no notes, sending Kareem's my therapist bills.

By the time my friend and I wanted to order, they seemed like they ran out of pita, so they had to make fresh pita. Luckily it wasn't too long! I asked for everything on it and you can technically add more to it aside from "the everything" they mentioned. We ate inside, which the right side of the joint is where you order and you can dine inside on the left side of the place. They actually have quite a nice dining area! The seating is also very nice and cozy. Sitting down with our pita bread, it was pretty nice! Everything tasted so fresh and the pita was so soft (especially cause it just came out). Falafel was nice and crispy. It was really good. Although, I wish all the hummus was all on the bottom and which it was spread out more nicely. Maybe i'll get more next time. I was extremely full by the time I ate 3/4 of it. I didn't want to save it cause I was afraid the pita might get soggy, so I forced myself to finish it and became extremeelyyyy full haha. Still very delicious!
