Visited on a Saturday during lunch time. Took 15-20 minutes to get a table which was nice. Was seated on the outdoor section, could definitely use a power wash. Biggest grip about the dining experience was that it took 15-20 minutes to have someone take our order when servers were walking by and serving the three other tables around us. The servers also didn't bother much to ask for any refills on drinks. Very nice employees, just lack of attention to waiting diners. Apart from that the food was good and portions were nice. Today my little family and I visited Kimmies. This was the first time we came to the Fullerton location. This location was quiet and clean. I had the country scramble and my wife had the Oc scramble. I loved my scramble, I added jalapeños to it and it made much better. It was fresh, cheesy and flavorful. I definitely recommend Kimmies to everyone. Their service, chefs and location is top notch.. My daughter introduced us to Kimmies in Fullerton and Brea. Kimmies is unique, just as you walk in the door to both Kimmies your transformed to another place, lace curtains and all, call it little house on the prairie, Laura Engels has nothing on Kimmies. The Country warm welcome, friendly smiles and attentive service made my visit feel comfortable. The menu is hard because your going to want to order everything. The coffee is hot and delicious. Kimmie walks around the Restaurant with a colorful apron and coffee decanter refilling your coffee cup. The food is fresh, healthy, non greasy and delicious. I ordered the original country French toast and my husband had the sausage patty breakfast with red potatoes. All was delicious! I loved the country ambience, the food portions are perfect and the prices are fair but most of all I left Kimmies feeling happy that my money was well spent and just stepped out of a Country movie scene. Would I return and recommend Kimmies to family and friends? Absolutely! Is it date worthy? Absolutely! Next time I visit I will have the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. Came here for lunch with the girls and it was perfect. The food was delicious, the service was great and we all enjoyed our time. The only thing that's somewhat an inconvenience is the parking. We went there on a Friday and their parking lot was full (they only have about 4-5 parking spots) we were about to park in the neighborhood but the street sweeper was scheduled that day. This place is honestly so cute and homey when you enter and the outside looks like a house. The environment is very bright and the waitress is so nice. My boyfriend had gotten the corn beef hash and I had gotten the classic American breakfast with orange juice. Total came out to around 45$ which isn't so bad for a breakfast place. As a Fullerton local of 38 years, I found Kimmie's about 7 years ago. My girlfriend and I would go maybe once every couple or few months. We would go for the service and humble diner food. Last time we went was about eight months ago and thinking back still pisses me off. We waited about forty minutes and decided to put a jacket back and energy drink in our car since it was getting hot which didn't even take 20 seconds while our table was called. The oldest hag wearing glasses whom I've seen working there plenty of times before not only gave us an attitude about giving our table away, but yelled at us that our names would go to the bottom of the list. We never went back after this and I'm sure this is what she wanted. Honestly, the coffee taste basically like Foldgers and the food tastes like anyone can make it at home. Paired with the attitude, my girlfriend and I are done with this establishment. Ended up finding a couple replacement places with actually good coffee and delicious recipes from this century. read more

I have only had the build your own omelette that comes with 4 items from a large choice. My meal came with hash browns and toast but you can choose other items in their stead. The food was delicious and served steaming hot. The hash browns were crispy. Portion sizes are humongous, it would be impossible to leave hungry. I was very disappointed during my last visit. I ordered the classic Benedict and the Avocado on Holiday...both were drenched in what they call hollandaise sauce. The sauce has a strong Mayo taste to it, I did confirm the Hollandaise sauce is not made fresh, so it's either powdered and added to mayo or it's bottled. I never enjoy writing a negative review, but Kimmie's was surprisingly disappointing in several fundamental ways. I've walked by the place for years and had long looked forward to trying them out for breakfast. Then, when I finally had the chance to try them out, the food was amazingly average, even the coffee, while hot, being absolutely flavorless. The staff was pleasant and attentive and they took all the right coronavirus precautions. However, the food did not live up to expectations and was barely of the quality you might expect to find at Denny's for half the price. We had blueberry pancakes, eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns, corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, and even a biscuit with gravy, but everything tasted fresh from the can, box or freezer. There was no pizzazz. None whatsoever. And yet, the price was premium. My wife was so disappointed that she vowed never to return and I seriously doubt I'll ever be back. Pretty decent selection. My friend and I had several of the sweet breakfast items (bread pudding French toast, cinnamon roll pancakes and country style French toast), plus the Mexican scrambler. Out of the sweet items, I liked the cinnamon roll pancakes the best. Sweet enough not to need syrup. The country style French toast was ok. I think the nuts evened out any sweetness. I was expecting more from the bread pudding French toast. I wanted a slight crisp that French toast usually has but it was mostly all soggy, more so than regular bread putting. I was a bit disappointed with the Mexican scrambler. Salsa might have added a good touch to this dish. The bell peppers overpowered the flavor. read more
