Just walked out of Kimo's very happy and very full. We had their Falafel in a pita bread and they were delicious. The first thing we noticed was that it's clear everything is made fresh in house. The falafel had a nice crunch on the outside and the inside was just a perfect consistency and so very flavorful! If I could give this a zero stars I definitely would! Worst experience ever. This restaurant has the rudest employees ever and they started getting aggressive if you do not order quickly. I didn't even get a chance to look at the menu and they are so quick to say are you going to order or not. There's a lovely little outdoor space where we could sit down to enjoy our meals which was great. We had to wait for quite long for our meals to arrive, and it was a bit weird that other people who had arrived after us got their meal before us. The portion sizes are huge, and the food is good, but way too salty, and the quinoa had a weird aftertaste so I couldn't eat it. The prices are reasonable, and it's nice to have a Greek-style restaurant in the area after all. read more

Next bc she was taking her time ordering (PROBABLY THINKING ABOUT WHAT SHE WANTED) your words were"are you going to order something or not". All in all horrible customer service from the owner himself. What's even worse is when called by a family member concerned of said woman, he was asked if it was him and he said "oh yea, it was me. I stand by what I said". Meaning he felt okay to disrespect not only a costumer but an elderly. Absolutely disgusting. And I'm curious that if it didnt happen why the owner is suddenly limiting comments on kimos social media page, blocking the womans family who wants nothing more but for him to take accountability of his actions and words said to another. All in all this is a great way to run your business to the ground. This is a wonderful family owned restaurant. You can dine in the backyard while admiring the Egyptian artwork. I love that there arefresh herbs that you can see being grown. We been super exited about the new Greek spot in Rockaways since summer but never got to try the food till yesterday. The order came two hr later (we live two blocks away, literally) , the driver called us asking to come outside and get the food, the food was cold, soggy, missing ingredients we paid extra for. The French fries was hard so it was impossible to eat that. Who serves the gyro cold? The Greek salad was nothing but spring mix with carrots and feta. We tried to contact seamless and restaurant to either redeliver the order or give us refund but we were told no. The restaurant was cold and careless towards our horrible experience. . My husband spent the whole night with diarrhea and I had the worst heartburn in my life all night long. I wish the restaurant was more caring about its costumers and the costumer service because this is not how you treat people. Never again. Thank you for the feedback. What I write about businesses should be irrelevant to you and my order with you, it has nothing to do with my food being delivered cold, soggy and two hr late. Jake and I have come here on a few occasions now and would rate it 5 stars every time. Today, after a morning surf session, we were craving something not too heavy but completely satisfying and Kimo's fit the bill. We ordered the chicken shawarma and the beef shawarma and sat on the back patio. The food was absolutely delicious; warm pita, well-seasoned, lots of flavor. The patio is shaded, has several beautifully made picnic tables, and is very clean. Apart from the awesome food, we are most impressed by the people that work there. The staff take great care of you and you can tell Chef Mike takes pride in his cuisine. If you're in the neighborhood this place is a must try! And try the Fatboy Pita, you won't be disappointed! The food is delicious here. i got a pita with grilled marinated chicken with onion jalapeño hummus and tahini. the chicken marinated was very flavorful and the jalapeños add it an extra tang. we are definitely coming back . The drinks were really good too. I got the peach ginger refresher and it was amazing. This place is amazing! As an Israeli I have very high standards when it comes to falafel however these exceeded my expectations. I had never had stuffed falafel before so I was intrigued and got the garlic eggplant stuffed ones. They were delicious!! And the lamb gyro wrap was just as good, so juicy and flavorful! We already can't wait to go back!! Oh and the owner is super friendly-came out, talked to us and even gave us free samples of a few delicious homemade lemonades!
