The common areas on the property are super charming - That's all this hotel has to offer! The rooms are gross! The carpet and surfaces were constantly WET from the amount of humidity in the building and it stunk like water damage. The bathrooms are equally as gross. There's a reason they don't show pictures online! The hotel staff seemed annoyed and reluctant to answer any questions regarding the limited services available due to COVID - 19. We are normally very loyal to the Kimpton brand! However, we won't be going back to the Brice the next time we travel to Savannah read more

A bit disappointed in this particular Kimpton hotel. The staff was all around amazing. The hotel is dog friendly which I absolutely love so, if you do not like animals do not bother staying here. My biggest issue is the hotel promised a lot of things such as sanitized rooms, wine happy hour, and a little treat for our dog. The cleanliness of the hotel was definitely not up to par and I do not understand why because there were cleaning staff. I wish my experience could have been better because Savannah is beautiful. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Drove 7 hrs after a 10 hr work day to check in at 11:30pm. We got to our room to find the room was left just as is from the previous guess. Dirty sheets dirty towel. When we went down to the front desk, we were told we are sold out and there is no cleaning staff. We booked the room for 3night Anniversary getaway @250 a night. Poor lady behind us was told sorry even though you booked a room for 1night we are sold out you have to go else where, again at Midnight. The lady at the front desk had attitude and would only as you have to speak to management and dont start with me. So we were only left with stay in the room or go down the street and drop another $250 on another hotel until management gets in tomorrow. read more

This is a great hotel to stay at. We stayed here using one our rewards nights for a quick vacation get away the staff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel is very modern, clean and well kept. They also have an awesome courtyard area to sit down and relax at. The king bed was super comfy. Our biggest complaints are mainly about the noise levels inside of the room. The ac/heating unit is pretty loud and we could hear the water going through the pipes from the other adjacent rooms pretty loudly as well. The restaurant has a very nice ambience to it, but we we're not overly impressed with the menu selection as they recently have changed it a few months ago. Also, parking here can be pretty pricey at $32, but we we're lucky and blessed enough to find a metered parking spot right around the corner from the hotel for a small fraction of that cost. Meters only charge M-Sat 8am-8pm. One another positive note, they have complimentary wine tasting at night (even though we were out in the city and didn't try it) in the lounge and nice full leaf tea or coffee available in the morning. The river is literally right across the street and it's only about a 20 min walk to get to Forsyth Park. All in all it was a great stay and we would most definitely do it again! :) read more

My girlfriend and I planned a weekend trip to Savannah GA, and due to unforeseen circumstance, we had to cancel. (My girlfriend husband was admitted to the hospita). We had booked through a 3rd party and was told by the 3rd party rep that we may encounter a cancellation fee. However, after speaking to the manager, Adina, at the hotel and explaining the circumstances; she was empathetic, understanding and approved waiving the fees. At checkout, I was told the printer was broken so they couldn't give me a copy of my bill (which I needed as I was traveling for work and can't be reimbursed the $1,000+ I spent without it). This was 22 days ago and since then I have been sent a link to a non-working webpage 5 times when I've requested my bill. I've also left numerous messages at the hotel and in those 22 days have not received a single callback. The hotel is not especially nice to begin with (3 star), and this TERRIBLE customer service makes it a 1 star experience. Booked for a spring break trip to Savannah. Under the assumption that this hotel could keep up to the standards of the Kimpton brand, we soon faced rude and incompetent staff (including front desk employees and valet). On the first day, it was pouring down rain and we needed to retrieve umbrellas from our car. Upon requesting out car, we were confronted by a valet driver who felt the need to explain to me the concept of valet and the understanding that if I wanted to get umbrellas out of my car I needed to go and search for the car in the garage. This service is $44/night with in and out privileges. Upon the second day, they failed to clean our rooms until 6:45 pm that night. We were told that there were over 300 rooms and only two housekeepers. During the time they were supposedly cleaning our rooms, we had to sit outside in the patio area for more than an hour. Once we returned to our rooms, we quickly realized they made up our bed with the same dirty sheets. When I complained to the manager she stated "travel is a privilege many can't offer so be grateful." The entire time we felt like a burden and would be referred to by our room number. This current staff is running this hotel into the ground. Savannah is a beautiful city and this hotel is a disgrace. Do not book at this hotel! You'd be better off at a Motel 6. EDIT: When asking the front desk staff for clean sheets, Sherry at the front desk threatened to call security on us. Her co-worker stated that they didn't have security. My friend is African American and only threatened to call the cops on her even though there were other individuals complaining how filthy their rooms were. It became clear that Sherry was intoxicated as she was stumbling and slurring her speech. According to other staff members, this is not the first time she has been intoxicated. After realizing the potential repercussions of her outburst she attempted an apology. read more

However the remodeled hotel room was dirty with the HVAC vent & closet shelf covered in dust, had to call 3 times to get towels & 2nd robe, power outlets didn't work - the final straw was finding something stuck to my pillowcase - 2 small brown pieces covered in hair. Moved to another room which was better with exception of broken luggage stand & then found the prior occupants leftover food in the refrigerator- gross! read more

My husband and I had an enjoyable stay at this Kimpton. The rooms were clean and updated and we were pleased with its location in Savannah. We also appreciate the Kimpton's open door policy with dogs. Our gripe isn't with our stay-- it's with the hotel's seemingly overt disregard for the belonging's we accidentally left behind. Upon returning home, we realized we had left 2 coats in our room's armoire. We immediately notified the manager and were told that we would be called back shortly with an update on our belongings. The manager was kind and seemingly willing to help but 36 hours later, and several calls to corporate and the hotel itself, we have yet to hear back from anyone as to where our coats are. As of this writing, our confidence in the hotel's consideration for our belongings is rapidly waning. While we recognize it was our fault, we expected more from Kimpton with respect to customer service. We expected better communication. We expected a certain level of diligence to find our belongings. Did they go to the room to look themselves? Did they contact housekeeping? Did they call the room and ask the current hotel guests? We don't know, because there has been zero contact. We have contacted Guest Relations at the corporate level and opened a case. I will update this review as soon as we have an update from either Guest Relations or the hotel itself. read more

My experience with the Kimpton Brice Hotel this past week was so atrocious that it has inspired to me to write my first ever review of anything. My family of three booked a one week vacation to Savannah starting Saturday, July 21st, where we intended to stay at the Kimpton for most of our time. When we were unexpectedly bumped to a much later flight, we called the hotel to let them know we'd be coming, but not until late in the night. They said they would flag our reservation and keep our room on hold until we got there. I thought that would be the end of that, but when we arrived at around 1:30am, we were met with the most absurd situation I have ever experienced. Apparently, the people at the front desk had given our room away, and it took them about 30 minutes of tiptoeing around the subject to tell us this. When we explained to them, once again, that our flight was pushed back and that we called earlier to let them know and they had said it wasn't a problem, they simply said there was nothing they could do, and that the room was already gone. THEY made a mistake and took absolutely no ownership whatsoever and, not to mention, were very disrespectful to us about it. One of them even told us that he "got all the way out of bed to deal with us." No apology, no help, no empathy for the family who quite literally had nowhere to stay in a new city at 1:30 in the morning. They treated us like we were inconveniences to their sleep schedules rather than tired travelers who were promised a room by them. Thankfully we were eventually able to find a place last-minute-- The Alida-- but it was $150 more a night, which was not an expense we expected to pay and honestly, shouldn't have had to pay in the first place. We called the corporate number that night and they told us to expect a call back from upper management the next day and, as I write this review, have not received such a call. The Kimpton Brice hotel showed us that they not only could care less about us as customers, but as human beings as they were so quick to turn us away as though it's nothing to them. If you ever choose to stay at the Kimpton Brice hotel, you better hope all is well with your flight, because your reservation with them is not safe. The Alida, meanwhile, was extremely accommodating and empathetic to our situation-- so much that they gave us free vouchers to their hotel restaurant just because they felt for us and our horrible experience. Our stay with them was absolutely amazing and I could not recommend it more. Should you find yourself in Savannah, don't bother reserving a room at the Kimpton. Go to the Alida instead. Top 3 Worst Hotel Experiences, this is one! - No guidance on which entrance to enter, enter through restaurant door, due to renovations - Super thin walls - Made the two rooms next to us, restrooms for an event that was here both days we stayed - No light when entering the room, everything dark at night entering, no fan in the bathroom (not good for several reasons) - One Guest Services lady is terribly rude (knocked on our door at 8am the first morning of the event, even though we had a 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door. I asked her why she is knocking, she said, "I am doing my job" in one of the rudest ways you would ever hear. Terrible attitude! (Eric, the Sales Director tried to be helpful and take down the Women's Restroom sign they put on our door for this event. Not sure who was the genius that did that. Eric credited our room $200 for the issues to use in the restaurant only, from issues of other guests knocking on our door, and being EXTREMELY loud from 7am on the first night, because they thought our room was the Women's Restroom, and simply the fact of the lines of people outside of our room as if they were partying. Eric promised none of this would happen the second night; however, that was NOT TRUE. Still a ton of noise all morning, like we were part of the event. Both nights, we might have had 5 hours of sleep each night. Also, the street is super noisy, because of the paper thin walls. I mean PAPER THIN! (Keep in mind, we asked for a room when checking in away from noise, including the renovations. We were told, the corner room (201) was just right to avoid noise. WRONG! We heard the renovations as soon as we stepped in the room that Friday evening. As a final note, I have never experienced soooooo many inconsiderate guests/visitors/contractors, being loud in the hallways, literally, like the halls were event spaces! This hotel needs some serious re-evaluating at the Operational level. read more

We spent an evening on our way from PA to FL. Our initial feeling checking in was very positive. The valet service and front desk check in was extremely professional. They staff accommodated our large truck with bikes on the rack to be parked in front of the hotel entrance. However, we are extremely disappointed with our response to a 'lost and found' case. Our toddler has two small stuff animals in a shape of a rooster that he cannot sleep without. We unfortunately left them in your hotel probably under the pillows. While, we understand that it was our responsibility to check the entire room prior to leaving, we have contacted the office multiple times to inquire about the roosters. We have left multiple voice mail messages with 'lost and found' and management and as of this moment, not a single person has called us back. The toy has no real monetary value but is priceless to the child. He has had it since he was born and soothes him at night. It should be very obvious to the person who cleaned our room of the toy. We even left a message on their web page - again not a single return message. I would have given them a 4 to 5 star. But their lack of understanding leave me very sour. So does my wife. read more

I absolutely, positively LOVED this place! Most hotels are just okay but this one... The decor was modern, warm, and inviting all in one. I melted into my bed!!!! Thee best smelling oil-infused soaps and lotion. Full bottle body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were also available. The outdoor seating made me forget I was in vacation bc I just wanted to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Gym was itty bitty but secure. They did have books for free rentals though; an excellent way to tour the city! Dog-friendly; I'm not a fan of pets in establishments but if it's your jam, you and your dog will feel right at home. There was a wine tasting each day of our stay and it pleasantly added to the vibe by allowing new "neighbors" to get to know one another. Hot cocoa and coffee were also available in the mornings and evenings. Didn't get to eat at the hotel's restaurant but the menu had delicious options with reasonable prices. The staff was more than kind and accommodating. Location was perfect for all the places we visited. I want to come back to Savannah just to stay at the hotel! read more

We just checked into our room in Savannah after a long drive from Washington DC/staying at the Riggs Hotel and couldn't be more disappointed with the state of the room given we've just travelled across the country staying at the Delamar, Grand Bohemian, Riggs and Marriott brands. The paint is actively peeling over the shower, hair in the corners of the bathroom floor, dirty entry floor, dirt/grime on doors and walls/baseboards dirty. We are in a pet unit with our pup, but we would still expect a room that is cleaned and high quality as the other brands provided with our pup. Can understand it's challenging to retain and attain team members for cleaning/upkeep, but if you cannot fulfill your high quality brand promise perhaps decommission these rooms untold repairs, cleaning and painting can be performed. This was our first stay with Kimpton and unfortunately, given the state of our room we won't rebook with the brand again. However, it's important for you to have the feedback to understand your customer attrition. read more

If you come to the Brice and you don't have the most enjoyable time, then I'm willing to assume you were cranky or live like a frumpasaurus every day of your life. Here's who & what you need to know- Logan, Britney, Rodney, Moe and Alfonce. These fine folks make our stay the most fun and we never pass the front desk with out chatting it up and getting some amazing recommendations for our time in Savannah. To top that off, at 5pm everyday, they have the most awesome 'happy hour' with their exclusive 'Brice Tea' (AKA- a John Daily) just line up and get yours because there is no better way to start the night than keeping cool with one of these in your hand. In between the Brice Tea parties, there is always fruit infused water on tap made by Moe, who buy the way, takes great pride in providing such a delightful hydration opportunity to every guest. The Brice is a home away from home, we love the friendly atmosphere, the very cool lobby, the ambiance of the garden and the convenience of the pool. There is absolutely no reason you can't have a great time! If you don't get down to the lobby early enough the check out the Brice Bikes, there are a few bike rental places around town and they'll even deliver bikes to you. I highly suggest the electric bike option! All in all, you can't go wrong at the Brice! P.S. I usually love Kimpton hotels but this one just doesn't meet the 4 star rating. Lobby and restaurant were very cute and trendy. I love that they are dog friendly. All the staff was so nice. But we stayed on the first floor and the room was a little run down (paint chipping, cracked tile/missing tile in bathroom, dirt/dust along baseboards and in corners etc). The bed was very clean and comfortable. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but if you are expecting your room to reflect the "Kimpton" feel/look that you are paying for, this location needs a little updating. read more

The Brice is a large boutique hotel in downtown Savannah, with valet parking in the garage across the street. We stayed here two nights and didn't want to leave. The hotel was beautiful, clean and with fresh decor. The rooms were comfortable and spacious enough. The valets remembered my husband's name over the two days and were prompted with our requests. Poor guys were cooking at the valet stand in Savannah July heat, but always had a smile for us and eager to grab the door. Cocktail hour is a perk of all Kimpton hotels. Great chance to meet and chat with other guests about their experiences and stay. The hotels vary from city to city, but each seems to capture their city's spirit. The Brice is no exception. Old world feel of sloe Savannah summer but modern and sophisticated comfort. There are bicycles to borrow, large center open air garden, and Italian restaurant attached. The Brice is a stylish hotel in the historic district of Savannah. It's quick walk to river street and also walkable to city market but a little further of a walk. It is also pet friendly. We had a room with two queen beds. It was a nice sized room. The sink was in the room rather than the bathroom which I prefer. We had a view of the courtyard which is lovely and has lights strung up and several seating areas. There is another outside area with a pool. The hotel offers a happy hour from 5pm-6pm. It's well attended and lively ! They offered wine, a lemonade/vodka drink and bruschetta. The restaurant Pacci is attached to the hotel. The hotel offers valet parking and the guys are great ! We especially enjoyed talking with Rodney and Maurice . They offered us ponchos for rain and water for walking. All of the guys were extremely helpful and friendly ! read more

So disappointed with this hotel. First trip to Savannah and we were excited to be staying on what looked to be a beautiful hotel in the downtown district. Definitely felt it worth the high price per night. However. We were not told of the ongoing renovations which resulted in the restaurant being temporarily relocated, endless banging, grinding and sawing. No service to the room so daily trips to ask for towels, etc. No coffee available in the afternoon and none in the room. When we tried to talk to the manager she said if we wanted to leave they would help us pack our things. Absolutely unbelievable. We travel to Fl from DC twice a year. We stay at Kimpton Brice with our dog. This is the only reason we remain a loyal customer. Well our last visit on Feb 5th turned out to be a disaster. First, they wanted to charge me for 2 rooms (myself/wife & dog). The front desk stated they could not assist with the double room charge but for me to take it up with booking.com. Next they charged me almost $50.00 to park on the street using their valet service. But the piece de resistance was no dogs allowed in the restaurant or bar. We ate their dinner (pasta out of a can) in the open courtyard and froze. I was informed by front desk that breakfast begins at 6am. I arrived for breakfast (pay extra) at 5:45am. Waited to 6:15 when I was told not open till 7am, and no dogs. Needless to say, we will not be back. A final note, the next day we arrived at Kimpton Ella in Key West ($700./nite..over rated/overcharged) for the week. This too turned out to be a disaster. Staff was several pegs higher caliber than Savannah Kimpton but they would do nothing to remove (water hose) the roosters (protected animal) perched on the telephone wires close by which crows each day, starting about 4am and continues sporadically (sometimes every 30 seconds) until 8am, EVERY day of our week long visit. What a beautiful hotel in a small little quiet street in historical Savannah Georgia Staff was amazing the grounds are very nice the restaurant downstairs is one of the best in the city The rooms have double ambience their spacious and feel like new. We love Kimpton Hotels and have brought our dogs to many of them over the years, including multiple stays at Brice. Brice is feeling the pain of labor and supply chain shortages, and is not handling it terribly well. Missing from our room was the luggage rack, one glass, and the soap pump container. Surprising that they had not been replaced by the most recent cleaning. The shower head was leaking up toward the ceiling, and the cabinet with the refrigerator was all the way at the end of the room, so that if you wanted to feed the dog, make a drink or prepare food, you had to walk all the way across the room where the sink was. It was a bit shabby and in need of replacement. I mention all these things because they seem fairly easily fixable amid the current crises, but Brice hasn't seemed to attend to these small, important details. Pacci Kitchen and wine Bar, attached to the Brice offered a very limited menu, and they were out of chicken due to the supply chain and approaching holiday season. Our bartender worked incredibly hard and was one of only two staff members working the restaurant. She did a great job of getting everything right, and was clearly running between customers. We try to ALWAYS stay at a Kimpton Hotel because we love the boutique style and wonderful service we get, and we have stayed at the Brice in the past when it first opened and loved the hotel, but this time it was HORRIBLE. The staff, bless them, were stressed out and over worked and undermanned, and while we had an in-depth conversation about how hard it has been for them to get staff to actually come in and work with the current state of affairs, I still don't feel like our stay should have felt worse than a motel 8! The room was dirty, I asked to be moved and they moved us, but the room we moved to was in even worse condition. Stains on the couches and carpets, no robes or bags for laundry, broken soap dispensers and no toilet paper. When I went to the front desk to ensure we would not be held responsible for all of the issues, they offered a breakfast stipend, but that poor girl, there was ONE young girl running the ENTIRE breakfast - she was stressed and over tasked at one point I thought she would start crying and did start hyperventilating. We were calm with her and told her please don't over-stress on our account - to which we got breakfast orders to go and it took almost 45 minutes, after our 20 minute wait to even talk to her. Overall, this hotel needs to have someone from corporate go there and fix ALL of the things that now have this hotel looking like a 2 star dump OR change your star level so we know not to stay there. If you don't have the manning to take care of a full hotel of guests, then sell less rooms, or again bring in staff from corporate to fill the voids. Super nice staff, horrible stay all around though. These folks need help and your customers deserve better - this was NOT a $265 a night suite and I do not plan on going back! read more

One of my absolute favorite hotels! The staff is welcoming and warm. During our first stay we let the hotel know we were celebrating and they upgraded our room to a suite with a full sized couch and separate living room, left fresh flowers, a full bottle of champagne and cupcakes in our room. What a welcome to Savannah! Since this stay we have been hooked on Kimpton- staying at various locations and of course returning to the Brice! We LOVE the daily wine hour! So much fun! This hotel costs way too much money for what you get. When we arrived, no one took our bags to our room. There was a tray of room service outside our room door. That's just gross. Our room was fine, but it was ground level next to construction. This included a jack hammer going during the day, and terrible noise each time a car drove over the grate. They take coffee away too early. They don't clean the pool or pool area. Pool is currently filled with debris. I think they have a lot to work on. I would recommend a different hotel in the area. read more

Dog paradise! We started with the most gracious valets in the South... followed by an awesome 'Yappy Hour' in the courtyard. Cocktails in the courtyard with a multitude of furry friends. This place felt like I was staying with a great friend. Every worker had a hello or a pet for the "fur babies." Hubby loved the comfy beds, I loved their delish am coffee bar! Friendliest dog hotel I have been too. The staff love the dogs and even treat them as guests as their human counterparts. The place is contemporary styled but with a southern twist and clean even with the dogs allowed. Has a middle courtyard and a pool (but no pups allowed in pool area which is proper). It's perfectly located on the Main Street just block from the river but still away from the craziness a Friday and Saturday can bring. There's a parking garage right in front or you can park from free on the street overnight from 8pm until 8am. I have stayed here three times and never disappointed. read more

"I love your hair!"... Says the lady at check in. Oh ma'am.. Flattery will get you everywhere. Not only is the staff extremely friendly but the hotel is also a jewel! I mean the rooms are spacious, clean and updated. The bed was fluffy. Loved the extras. I normally Lysol everything down and wear shower shoes, but I questioned this here as everything was clean and neat. My only teeny gripes: 1. They are dog friendly but at 8 this morning someone left their dog in the room barking for at least 10-15 min. Maybe you shouldn't allow this as everyone's dogs aren't trained. 2. The the showers are nice with a bench inside, roomy... But there's a crack at the bottom which means water is going to be on the floor by the time you're done... Not good. 3. The 5 PM appetizers... Maybe provide enough for all the guests. Definitely enough alcohol but when my dude and I got there at 5:15 there was no food left. I wasnt looking for a meal, but at least the chance to put one thing in my hand to try. Other than that BRAVO Kimpton. Location is excellent along with all the little touches. read more

Absolute worst customer service imaginable. I had to change plans because of Covid (as if that's rare somehow these days) so i contacted the hotel 2 weeks before trip who put the responsibility on Priceline. Priceline tried to get in touch with the hotel to change dates. Couldn't get to anybody. More calls (to hotel and Priceline) 1 week before, days before and then on the day I was supposed to arrive I pointed out to desk person that my entire trip was cancelled, I'm not even in Georgia. I just want to change dates, the reply was "we'll hold your reservation for tomorrow." I'M IN LOS ANGELES! What good would that do? I love this hotel. First impression: holy shit that's cute. Very modernized hipster feel. Very Abbot Kinney (LA) like. Also dog friendly, so an extra star for that! Second impression: southern hospitality. To the tee. They gave me an early check in, comped my valet (which wasn't even nearly as much as other places), and even upgraded us to a freaking suite! And, the staff greeted us by name any time they saw us. They also had complimentary happy hour between 5-6pm, with Bailey's hot chocolate, red and white wine, and also complimentary coffee and tea in the morning. I gotta say it, this place is the "bee's knees". Had an amazing experience, no one was ever snooty, very friendly and warm. I've already recommended this place to my friends, and will continue to do so for anyone in needing a place to stay in beautiful Savannah! read more

Room wasn't ready when we tried to check in at 5:15pm on a Saturday night. 5:15pm. Then we get to the room, and it's not the room type we'd booked. The front desk assures us it is, even though I had an email from IHG showing the exact room I'd booked. We wait two hours in the "secret" garden on a Saturday night for them to decide to also rent us an extra room. It's on a different floor, so the whole "fun celebration friends" weekend vibe we wanted? Yeah. Non-existent. I've worked at several hotels, low-end to medium, and I've never changed a room type for a guest without asking them if it was okay. Found out they had upgraded an Elite member without realizing they were staying two nights and had to look for someone else to downgrade Lesson learned: if you need a suite here, say you have five guests. in recompense for a weekend half-ruined, I have received 2,000 IHG points, wee. read more

Cute hotel in a great location. The beds are especially comfortable. The bartenders at Pacci were the best we found in the city.

The employees at the KBH are so pleasant and accommodating. Everyone we encountered were happy to meet our needs. The hotel is conveniently located and gives you boutique vibes. My only suggestion is the bed frames make so much noise, it kept waking us up. read more

Stay here! The most enjoyable hotel I have ever stayed at. Great staff! The most amazing lobby and courtyard you could dream up!! Savannah Downtown is small! You can walk end to end in 25 minutes. This hotel is in one corner of the district but it is still PERFECTION. Amazing in house restaurant but it's just the rooms and the staff that will blow you away. Modern, chic, smart. No complaints.
