Just purchased my Bike ( Cannondale CX 4) from them at a very reasonable price . I have to admit their customer service was very good to me. I recently got a flat tire by running over a sharp piece of metal. When I returned my bike to the store for a repair, the store owners and their son Jake remembered me right away and because it was my first repair, they serviced my bike free of charge. I have bought and got service on two bikes at this store. This is a family owned business and they are knowledgeable about bikes and listen to what the client is looking for. My first bike with them was a Schwinn Coaster... a delight. I explain I had not ride bikes in decades and had never had a bike with more than one gear. He showed me what he had. My second bike (now feeling cocky) was a Fuji with 5 speeds. I was ready for gears... just not too many. The follow ups and help with issues makes me always feel that it is good to do business with locally owned stores. read more

She seems like she did not want to be there her husband seemed like he didn't have much customer service as well and every time I asked about a price of a repair she would say I don't know it could be this it could be that . So I just don't feel that I would ever give my business to a place like this and thank you for the previous person that left the review because to this day they still have not changed they are in the community and they don't treat people with the proper store etiquette . My wife and I wanted to test Aventon e bikes before purchasing and I searched bike stores recommended by the Aventon website. However, most of these stores did not feature the bikes on their website and did not stock them . We contacted New Jersey Cycles in Elizabeth and the woman who answered the phone searched her inventory for us and assured us that the models we were interested in were in stock. When we went to the shop we were pleasantly surprised to see several models in stock to choose from. The owner even unboxed and assembled a model that has just arrived for us to evaluate. They could not have been more helpful and did not try to pressure us into a purchase. They made sure that the bikes fit us properly and explained the different features of each model. We purchased 2 bikes and the owner helped us to load them onto our carrier and even zip tied them for extra security for the long ride home. (Did I mention that it was a scorching hot day and they gave us bottles of cold water for the trip home?) Even though it was a 2 hour drive I would happily go back there if I needed repairs. read more

Horrible service! Horrible service service. I would not recommend this bike shop at all. The owner is not a very nice man and only after money, nothing more. I bought a bike chain from him after mine broke. Now mine you, there was nothing wrong with my bike besides the chain breaking. After leaving his store and riding the bike a few miles, the chain I purchased from him kept skipping. I returned back to the store and explained the problem. He didn't even try to inspect the bike fully by checking the chain. He looks at the bike really quick and begins to tell me that something is wrong with my spraket. I explain to him that I know about bikes, that there is nothing wrong with the spraket. And that before I bought the bike to him, the only problem was the broken chain. He does nothing about the issue. Horrible service! Horrible service. I would not recommend this bike shop at all. DON'T bring your money to this store. WASTE of time, bad people, bad business. Very poor customer service my husband and I purchased 2 brand new bikes totaling over $1,400, and paid to get 2 other bikes fixed which was an additional $200+. Came back to pick up bikes which were being fixed only for them to try and charge us an additional $50 for my daughters bike never replaced front break and did not fix gears properly. Do not do business with this people. The man (owner) is a big theft. We bought a tire from them and after just a week the tire was flat. We did not even installed the tire to the bicycle. The day we were going to install it, the tire was already flat. We went back to the place to ask them to change it or fix it and the man went nuts. We almost fight that day and it got ugly. He showed me a little piece of paper saying that he does not give warranty on his work so why the hell does he have a business if he can't do a good job. So if he is so dishonest with something so little imagine if you buy a bike from him? DO NOT GO THERE!!!! save your money or sanity. read more

Horrible service! I went to install a brake (one rear) on my bicycle and the shop owner wanted to charge me $60 upfront. I was okay with paying the price at first until searched how much brakes cost at nearby locations (such as Walmart) and to my amazement they were only $11.99 for both rear and front!! I then went to the owner to ask him why such a high price for the installation and without any explanation he said it's his price or I can go somewhere else! This is not how you conduct business with paying customers. The owner (an older Asian male) had a very nasty attitude with me and I refuse to ever look in the direction of that shop again if I need any repairs on my bike. Avoid this place due to their jacked up prices and horrible customer service. I'm sure he feels that he can treat people any way he likes due to his shop being the only one in the area but for the jacked prices and customer service it is NOT worth it. DIY or if you can not, find someone worthwhile to spend your money on. Someone with dignity and respect towards paying customers. read more
