Came here for a full set w/ no gel. Ended up paying $30 (plus tips) for this when their pricing says $26.99 The prices didn't threw me off at all, but what got me upset is how quickly the painted got smeared and ruined after it was fully dried. For a place called "Kim's Hair & Nails", they really lack in the "hair" side of their business. Now, I'm not saying they're bad people, in fact, it's the complete opposite. The fact is: they aren't too good at business, and my family's multiple visits can attest to that. We've come in for various reasons from quick pedicures to cheap $7-8 haircuts, and every time they seem to disappoint one way or another. My brother and I always try to give this place a chance, and it's always something with them. Whatever you do, do not get a haircut from the man sitting in the corner - he's a complete amateur!! He almost cut my ear with his very first flick of the wrist. I honestly could have just gotten up and left, but I wanted to give him a chance, and boy was I wrong. He also smelled like beer, and kept talking to his coworkers in Vietnamese (I've attached a photo from another review because I couldn't get a picture of him - he has a very evil Disney villain style combover at the moment, so he's not hard to miss). I'm not one to infer, but I can tell when someone isn't too happy with a customer. At surface level, that are nice people, but the passive aggressive behavior isn't too hard to pick out. Do not go here for acrylic nails. I asked for simple pink & white French tips. See pictures below. The woman who was doing my nails was nice but I am disappointed with my nails and he outcome. I wanted to gel on top and she insisted to just do top coat. I can feel the roughness from her filing down my nails through the top coat which is not pleasant or what I wanted. They peer pressure you to get your nails did, hair did, and everything they have there and while someone is waiting for their friend they keep forcing them to do this and that which is so annoying. This lady who did my full set acrylics rushed and it was uneven at some places and glue/nail polish all over your fingers, patchy with bubbles and told me it was $40 when it clearly said it was $27 on the paper posted on the store. It was only cash too so if you had to use your card it was $1 more so its VERY overprice. Horrible horrible attitude and customer service; rushed haircut and Kim, the OWNER of this place was the one cutting my mom's hair and had a disgusting attitude the whole time. She rushed through it and it was the worst cut my mom got. Zero customer service that didnt deserve payment. I haven't had a hair cut in over a year. During the pandemic, many salons were closed or doing outdoors. I waited it out as long as I could. I came in with my daughter and she was really nice at first.. That was until she cut my hair. My daughter recently got a cut and I just needed them to add layers for her. It simple. For me, it was chopping everything off and adding layers. I actually let her decide. I have always asked for everyone's opinion. Anyways, she didn't know I was Vietnamese and MAN, she has a big mouth. I'm pretty sure she was the owner too. She was in the front and kept talking to her co-workers about my hair. If you didn't want to do it, don't do it? She asked if my sons wanted cuts as well. They both did. Another lady did my younger son. She was really nice. She's the one who gave me my total. My daughter's cost was as much. I wasn't complaining about the cost, I was confused about pricing. It said kids: $10. She barely touched her hair. Even for my boys, I thought salons cut for $10 was a lot. Let alone, a Vietnamese Salon. She charged me $20 for my cut. That surprised me as well but its cool. I ended giving them $20 tip for everything. They seem ungrateful and to me, that's really sad. People should be happy they have work and customers but am I to judge? I'm only a single income mother, 3 kids and works 6 days a week. Count your blessings. I've easily could've told them I was Vietnamese as well. Since moving to SoCal from the rainy Pacific Northwest, I'd been looking for a place to get my hair and nails done. My search is over, having found Ultimate Family Salon in Anaheim. Like Janis said, this really is a one stop shop. Today, I got my nails (full set, white tip, $18, along with removal of the last set, $9, because they were lifting and a simple nail design, $3) and had my hair flat ironed ($15), so total price, under fifty bucks (although with a tip, $50 even), and my hair and nails look ah-maz-ing (hyphens added for emphasis). A regular set of nails is only $15, which is what a lot of salons charge for a mere fill. A fill at Ultimate Family Salon starts at only $10. I tend to be lazy and go more weeks in between fills than I should (my bad!), so I usually end up getting backfills, which tend to be more. I didn't get a pedicure this time ($15 for a mini pedicure, $20 for a regular pedicure, $30 for a deluxe pedicure, $5 for callous removal; other services available, just quoting from memory), but the next time I'm in, I'll probably get a pedicure and highlights in my hair. It'll look awesome and it'll be half the price other places charge. The prices are the best that I've seen in the OC (as well as LA County and San Bernardino County) from ALL the other places I've been in my quest for "the" hair and nail salon... and haven't been half as satisfied with. If you go here, you won't regret it for a second. You'll look great and your pocketbook will too! They're also in the same strip mall as Zankou Chicken, (which has some of the best Middle Eastern "fast food" in the greater LA area), Sarkis Pastry (some of the best desserts in Anaheim's so called Little Arabia), a Middle Eastern grocery (though I prefer King Super, about a mile away), a smoke shop, a dental office (ugh, gotta make an appt!), and a few others. She started only to stop after 5 minutes and go back to finishing her other customer. I asked for black stiletto nails, I wanted them pointed and sharp, and one nail to be striped black and white. So after going here about 3 times now. Very satisfied. I get a haircut, hair washed and Arizona hair gel for $17 bucks. That's a deal I think considering lot of places will charge $20+ for just a mens haircut. Found this place on yelp and so far so good. My haircut is simple so it does not take long. It's all clippers from various #guard on clippers. I think the two ladies that do all the haircuts are Leyna and Tia. Two nice Vietnamese ladies who do good job on my hair. They do take credit cards but they advertise $1 fee and post signs that cash only is highly excepted. When I do go, I see a lot of women getting pedi's and medi's there a lot.
