We brought our grandson in today, a 5-year-old who is prone to adding "extra drama" to situations. But today for his first haircut in a long time, he was quite happy sitting in the child's "Red Car" seat and having the barber work on his hair. The Barber worked quickly around his head...first with the trimmers then with scissors, fine-tuning the length and shape for the cut. The little guy was quite pleased with the whole situation and that made us happy. There was no waiting and this being our first time there it was a very low key no-stress visit that I am sure we will repeat. She's moved to three locations three times (all within Roseville area) and I've always followed her wherever she relocated her shop. She's now here in her new shop off of Douglas Blvd in the Ross Dress For Less and Hobby Lobby shopping center. She's changed the name of her salon! It was formerly Kim's World of Beauty but now she has TWO locations - one dedicated to full nail service on Lead Hill Blvd and this complete hair service salon. The salon has just recently opened on Sept 8th, four days ago! Much bigger place than the former shops she's had, 1,500 sq-ft big! Here in this location she also does facials and waxing services. I love how Kim takes special care of her customers. For me, I walk in and she knows how I would like my hair trimmed. Kim's salon caters to men, women, and even children! She has a cute little car for the kids to sit in when they are getting a cut. I was hesitant at first on cutting my daughter's hair but Kim and her kind persona just helped me feel at ease. She was so kind to not only us but to my daughter as well. I have known Kim the owner since I was 16 years old and I have followed her from all of her locations including her location that used to be next to KFC. This is a very clean establishment very clean atmosphere. This is a great the owner. Kim has been running her own salon and nail salons for over 20 years. She is a very great sweet business woman. If you're looking to get a haircut all over color perm highlights this is a great place if you're wanting to get a pedicure if you're wanting to get your nails done this is a great place to try that out, this location is conveniently located in the same shopping center as Sally's beauty supply the owner Kim is very sweet. She was always able to fit me in whenever I need a last-minute appointment. They also offer waxing services at this location and the prices are very affordable. If you have not gone here I would recommend checking out the photos, giving them a call to find out if they could achieve what you were looking for. I recommend doing a consultation before you come in that way you know exactly what to expect on your appointment and make sure that they understand what you're looking forKim, the owner is great about accommodating all of her customers and making sure that they all leave happy she's very sweet and does great work. Recently moved to the area and needed to find a hair cut place. Many places were not open due to the pandemic but this store was. I gave the store a try. Coming from NYC, SF, SD, I would say the prices are higher than what I'm used to and I used to get wash included. The prices here probable reflect the lack of competition. Something I'll probably have to get used to unless I find another place. Kim cut my hair and she was quick. I almost thought it was too quick and was afraid she wouldn't have paid attention to detail but I was gladfully wrong. She did pay attention to details and the "corners" of the back of the head she did it correctly. It isn't dented in like what most barbers do because they usually just follow the contour of your head. I didnt get a wash because it wasn't included. I wish it was though. Regardless, after I got home and washed my hair, I didn't see any "extra" single hairs that stuck out. This is also another thing that most barbers miss. It's really just paying attention to detail. FYI: Cost = $17 (if you want wash, would have been $25). read more

Would definitely not recommend for children!!! We usually take our 3.5 year old to a kid-friendly salon, and they know how to calm our son, but the owner rushed through the cut, and would sigh and seemed annoyed when our boy refused the clippers. The other salons take their time, and know how to reassure the child. He ended up getting a scissors only cut, and he'll already need a cut in less than a month because they didn't try to calm him and do a clipper cut! This is the last time we come here! We'll spend the extra money to go to a more child-friendly salon for a better looking haircut. BEWARE: The reason for all the 5-star reviews is because there's a sign posted saying you get a measly $5 off your next visit. Trust me, I've fallen for this scam before, but for a much bigger discount. Not planning to get this small change discount though cuz I ain't nevah comin' back!!! read more

Jamila & Kim are amazing! The salon is in a great location, big, and clean. I used to actually get my hair cut from Kim when I lived in Roseville a few years ago when they were at the previous location on Lead Hill. She always did an amazing job. I came on my birthday two months ago to get my lashes lifted by Jamila. I don't know why I always hesitated to get a lash lift vs. lash extensions. I will never get extensions again!!! The process was so quick- 20 minutes for a lift versus 2 HOURS for extensions (depending on where you go). Jamila was very professional and made me feel comfortable during the whole process. The results were incredible. I loved how natural and effortless they looked. The after care is pretty similar to extensions but the best part was not having that feeling of fake shit on your eyelids that you had to be extra careful about. After about a couple days I was able to sleep normally, wash my face normally, shower normally, put on mascara normally (which by the way took my lashes to the next level) and boom they were still lifted and gorgeous. It has now been 2 months and my regular lashes have grown back. I must say, the lift lasted a long time! It was nice not having fall out from fake lashes which used to leave me looking like my eyes were throwing up gang signs. I will be back for another lift before my next big event/trip! I have been coming here since Kim's old store on the other side of the freeway so I think that's about 13 years I trust her with my hair coloring and haircut. She will listen to your requests unlike other hairstylist which is what I like about Kim. Usually every time I come here, I also get an eyebrow wax as well for $10. The worst service I've ever experienced. Kim was very welcoming and very sweet but I can't say I'm as excited about her services and staff. Got a full set and gel manicure and the very next day I had 3 nails chip and completely peel off. I texted her and no response so I decided to call in. Unfortunately I missed her on her day off and didn't have enough time to come back another day. She told me to come and see Jamila. First off all, Jamila is extremely rude and not welcoming at all. Poor attitude and resting b* face. She must be doing very well because she completely brushed me off (new client) from beginning to end. Called the salon after speaking to Kim, Jamila answered, said to come in to have her fix my nails on behalf of Kim and possibly look at my eye brows for microblading+tattoo. I got a "Oh your skin is oily? Then sorry not doing it" "it's 400 though if you want to try it and see how long it'll last" "I'll take a look when you come in" Showed up to my appointment, she had an older lady do my nail color change, charged me normal price for the color (even though the only Reason for me coming back 3 days later was because all of nails were chipping), her reasons were because she's changing the color now it's not a fix. And no she never looked at my eyebrows or even offered. Elderly lady who redid my nails, again, very sweet, but my nails are hideous and worse than the first time I came in with Kim. And it took an entire hour just to finish the color change. Sorry but will never be back and will never recommend them. read more

I just went to get my hair done the other day with my daughter and niece. The owner, Kim, was super friendly towards all of us. The shop smelled super nice, and when I went to get my hair washed, the water felt good and cold, warm too. Anyways, my niece recently got a haircut, but it was awfully crooked and shaggy.
