I went there to color my hair light brown. I usually go to Kim but this time she recommended Helen. I went to my appt and Helen said it would take 1 hour. She gave me a book of hair swatches and I pointed to a brownish blonde hair color. A color definitely lighter than my black hair. I told Helen that i wanted lighter and pointed to the swatch. She barely knew English. It was very difficult to communicate with her. But i assumed that pointing to a color swatch would be direct and a no brainer. Well i was wrong. I sat there for 2 hours and and after she washed my hair it was still black. I was very disappointed and called Kim directly and told her what happened. She told me that I still had to pay for the service and to come the next day and she was going to charge me full price to correct it. I couldn't believe it!! Such a rip off!! I'm a regular customer. I give great tips and she doesn't have the courtesy of doing the right thing and instead wanting to charge me twice! Hell no..you just lost a good customer! read more

Called ahead to see if they were too busy for 2 kids' haircuts, was kindly told to come in. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed and my son's haircut started. Very kind lady (I wish I had gotten her name) was very patient with my son who has eczema and sometimes has difficulty sitting still without scratching. She gave him tips on how to achieve the style she finished with. As for my daughter, she trimmed the unhealthy hair ends and shaped the hair around her face. My friend and I came here out of desperation to get our nails done as no salons are open. I don't know where to start. We were treated incredibly poorly and the staff was very unprofessional. They were rude to us both- I made a 45 minute drive from my neighborhood and when they called and told me they only accepted cash I told them I would be running behind because I would need pull some out... when I arrived they told me they wouldn't be able to give us pedicures because we were late. (They then acknowledged that we informed them we would be late but changed the excuse to that they expected us to be behind by one or two minutes.) I could pick apart my entire experience but feel so drained I'm choosing not to. The ladies argues with me and informed me it was my fault whenever I asked for something to be fixed. One of my nails was on completely crooked and she told me I was the reason that it was...? I asked for the shape to be fixed, was told it was fine. I asked for a darker color, and was told that it would be fine. My nails look terrible. I was ecstatic when I thought I would get to have cute nails for my "graduation" (aside from all that's being prevented by covid-19) When I went to pay I stood around for 15 minutes before scouting someone out. If it wasn't for my conscious I would have walked out. Some key takeaways; they try to provide so many services but only have one lady who can do any of them besides the manicures, they refused service to several people because they over booked themselves- once again, finds ways to be blaming it on the customers, and all of the seating is uncomfortable. It is all mismatched furniture and they don't have the proper equipment to perform their services correctly.(one lady was in a folding chair getting her nails held up because there was not a table for her to rest them on) my neck, back, and arms hurt from all the weird positions I was forced into. I would go back to have my nails fixed but I am so utterly drained that I couldn't manage to do so. read more

Went to Kim's Salon first time, she was not there. Business was open another lady greeted me, Kim will return soon. I told this lady I want my hair trimmed, hair cuts are $15 and up. Kim arrives, the other lady tells Kim I want my hair trimmed. I am seated in a styling chair, Kim I want my hair trimmed. WACK she chops of a chunk of hair! Too late now, trim is not possible, she keeps cutting, bangs are too short,(bowl cut) ears are no longer covered by hair. She finally stopped cutting, saying "I give you more style, Hollywood look". I just moved to the area and I was looking for a good place to get my eyebrows waxed (I have trust issues and only had one lady back home touch my eyebrows). My first visit was wholesome, I didn't catch her name, but I wasn't disappointed. My second visit was equally wholesome and LOVED my eyebrows after my visit. Honestly, I had no idea that my hair was choppy until she told me (since my hair was super long and tangly) and Kim really made the effort to help me blend out my layers. She took her time on making sure my hair was even out and I can tell that it made a huge difference.
