Kelly did an amazing job on my nails! She is very friendly, caring, and patient. What stood out to me most is that she actually takes the time to have a real conversation and makes you feel comfortable. Her attention to detail is great, and she really wants you to be happy with your nails before you leave. The salon is nice--spacious, open, clean, and well-lit, which makes it feel comfortable. This place has gone SO DOWN HILL. I've been going there for years, & I've loved seeing Mia & sometimes Tony. Both Tony & Mia don't work there anymore (nobody could tell me why) so I stopped going. My mom however was still going to the salon & they took advantage of her. Not only did the lady who did her pedicure speed through it & make her bleed, her gel x nail came off 2 days after she got her nails done! I never leave reviews but they did not make things right with my mom, instead they made her PAY FOR ANOTHER FULL SERVICE at full price. After my last review update the male owner who goes by Tim decided to reply to my review dishonestly regarding the argument between him and I. At least he identified himself since he's replying under the name and profile picture Kieu Trang N who also goes by Fiona. She's the other owner who has been very respectful throughout this unfortunate experience. Her tone in her replies in other reviews, even negative ones, is much different and respectful. She also will sign off with her name or with a formal greeting. The other replies to negative reviews that have an argumentative tone and with no formal greetings or signature I'm assuming are Tim and not her. Despite his dishonest reply to my recent review update regarding our argument, I thought nothing of it and wasn't surprised. Especially with already knowing what he was capable of in person. But the very next day he sent me a text from their business cell phone in addition to the reply on here on yelp. Stating things like my review isn't what occurred and he actually thanked me for my feedback and stated he was open to it. It also stated I would no longer receive appointment reminder calls. Then he sent me a screenshot of my name in their address book with my name and next to it said no 2 min reminder calls. Although he repeatedly told me in person he wasn't going to listen to me and he would continue to do what he's doing. I replied that this was not ok and to stop continuing to argue with me on yelp and now via text. Also that if it continues he will lose my business and to please leave me alone. I talked to Fiona or Kieu Trang N and she called me immediately when I asked to speak to her on her day off. Again she's great and very accommodating. I read her his reply to my yelp review, the text he sent, and my reply as well. I also told her that although he identified himself in the reply on yelp to my review that in other replies he didn't seem to, and it's under her name and profile picture giving the impression that it's only her replying on here. During this call I found out that the other owner who goes by Tim was her husband. I apologized for the position this situation put her in. I told her it's gone too far and it's ok if he disagrees with customers but, he should not argue with them in person, online, or via texting. That he needs to know when to stop. I told her this is now harassment after him and I argued in person. I asked that he just leaves me alone and that it stops. That's all I want at this point no more discussions about it since they're going nowhere. She apologized immensely and stated she would speak to him regarding giving me space. I told her every other time I've been at her salon I've never had a negative experience and love my nail tech and her employees. So I'm willing to continue to go there as a customer. I went to my nail appointment yesterday 11/29 for my dipping powder mani and gel pedi with of course Mia my go to nail tech. Afterwards the front desk girl who usually is always there who goes by Nee (Idk how it's spelt sorry) and who's wonderful, told me my service was free or on the owner Fiona. That Fiona had told her to do this for me. I told her although that's a very nice gesture that it was too much money for me to not pay anything. I offered to pay something and accept a discount. She assured me that it was ok and Fiona insisted. She then offered me a envelope from Fiona with my name on it and stated Fiona said to give it to me. Nee didn't know what it was for or what happened when I asked her what it was. I opened and read the typed letter from Fiona. It was very well written, kind, and very carefully worded. It ultimately said that she was very sorry and to accept this free service as an apology and as a parting gift. That this would be my last service with them as a customer. The way the letter was written I could tell how conflicted and sorry she was for reaching this decision. The owner who goes by Tim is her husband and anytime he gets into it with customers on here or in person, it puts her in a difficult position. I told her on the phone that I can't be the only customer or last that he has treated this way and just by looking at the replies to negative reviews on here that don't sound anything like her, I'm not wrong. It's very unfortunate that things were taken too far and she felt the need to side or do that for her husband. But maybe it was too far to make amends anyway. My mistake was staying there to get my nails done right after he had argued with me and wouldn't let up. And also returning at all thinking everyone could be adults, respectful, and move on. That was my other mistake. I'll miss my nail tech, their quality, and all of the other employees I've encountered over the years at this business. read more

Ivy is amazing! She did my acrylic nails and design. She shaped and designed it perfectly. Literally the best nail job I have ever received and if I ever get married 100% I would ask her to do my wedding nails haha. I just showed her what I wanted and she recreated it perfectly. I went there last month for a pedicure. I'm giving this place a 1 star for two crucial reasons: my nail tech cut the sides of my big toes which resulted in both of them developing ingrown toenails, and the technician did not top coat my nails. I came in about 1 hr before closing and when she was applying the polish, it was about 15 mins til closing which is why she probably skipped the topcoat because regular polish and topcoat require time to dry. They probably thought I was just a regular unknowing client but I'm actually a nail tech. Cutting the sides of the toes is a HUGE NO, everyone in the nail community knows this because it will eventually lead to ingrown nails and that's exactly what happened to me. Lastly, it doesn't take much added time to topcoat a set of nails- as a matter of fact, it's standard procedure. Stay away from this location if you care about the safety of your feet and integrity of your pedicure. read more

The guy at the desk just wants to justify and give excuses for the wait. You lost me as a customer and I am sure many more loyal customers will get fed up. I've had my nails done here so many times and it had always been great. Then the man who did my manicure this last time over used the dremel on my real nails when removing prior gel and ended up making them them paper thin! I watched him take it off and it wasn't too bad but then he really ruffed them up to prep them for gel and that's where it all went wrong. I asked him why he was doing it so much and told him it was starting to burn and he said it would be fine. Really unlike anything I had ever encountered there. Came home that evening and was washing dishes and after they had been wet for about 5 minutes I could tell my normally strong nails were super weak and bending. Ended up braking 8 nails that week (which never happens) and when I went to have the gel removed at another salon, they were in such horrible shape that I don't dare have them painted again as they really need time to repair and breath. Plus if new place was to use the dremel on them again, I'm worried they would be down to the skin below. Now they are so torn up and damaged on my top layers that the only thing I can do it wait MONTHS for them to grow out. I just hope they are not damaged for good. Crazy how one bad manicurist can ruin your beautiful strong nails for days. I'm sad, mad and never going back to this place!!! read more

This place is overpriced and underwhelming. It started when the women refused to work on my ingrown toenails, saying it's a liability, and they don't perform that service.?! To be clear, mine aren't anything crazy, just a few minimal lil snips. I have never heard of this, is this new.?! The only reason I didn't stop and walk out was due to my daughter sitting next to me with her feet in the water and a full-set underway... They made no mention of the $15 up charge for gel polish, which is highway robbery! During the manicure, she missed several hangnails and seemed super rushed. For my pedicure, I asked if she would be able to do square shaped and she said yes. She tells me at the end as she was painfully filing my nails all the way down to my nail bed (causing two of my toes to bleed), that she was just trying to make it square. At that point i knew she could not make it the right shape, even if i asked if it was possible before hand. My nails are also visibly different lengths and the French tips are crooked. I also specifically asked for a base coat to cover the bruising on my nails, but it is still very visible. (Will not be posting full photos for obvious reasons) For the full set manicure, when showing the design I wanted and asked if she was able to do it, she said that it looks too basic and wouldn't look good on me. So I just changed the design because she couldn't answer my question. I also I wanted to choose a different base color that would match my skin tone better but the lady was very rude about it. Just flat out said no to the one I chose saying it's too light. I then look at more natural colors instead of pinks (because I stated I wanted something to match my skin tone) and she stated very rudely "you said you wanted pink". She then gave me 2 pinks to choose from and at that point I realized that things had to be done on her own terms. Not only was her attitude poor, but so was the quality of her work. After the acrylic overlay, she did not use the nail drill to thin out the product, only for the cuticle area (where she did also hurt me) and she manually buffered out the surface. Now I have a very thick layer of acrylic bulging off of my nails. Not only that, but the tips of my nails are not the same width on the corresponding finger of my other hand and it is very visible to the point that they look like different nail shapes. The product looks like I just put on cheap press on nails from Walmart I could've gotten for $5. Seems to have been her first time. (See bulging acrylic on my thumb's side view) I was a frequent customer and this used to be my favorite salon but haven't been in maybe over a year due to work code and also working in a lab. The quality and service has dramatically declined since and was a complete waste of my time and money. The cherry on top was that I wasn't offered a drink at anytime and I had 2 people working with me. Very disappointing. I would put zero stars if I could. read more

I've had my gel pedicure done here twice now. I find that the French tips last longer than other salons. The experience has been very pleasant and relaxing each time. The staff is professional and friendly. I don't find it difficult to communicate what I want done and I don't feel like they are annoyed when I ask for specific things or to change the length or shape. I like the salon and it's very clean. It's always quite busy here. I like to go mid day when there are less people. read more

I've been coming here for years, which is why this experience was so disappointing. The technician during my visit was polite, but the overall service and how the situation was handled afterward is what ultimately lost me as a client. I paid for the Refresh pedicure, which is one of the higher pedicure they offer, and the work wasn't done correctly or with care. My nails weren't trimmed to the length I requested, there was still buildup left on my toe, and the cuticle work was rough. The quality didn't match the price or the level of service I've received here in the past. When I called to have it corrected, I was calm and polite and explained I never complain, which made this uncomfortable to bring up. From the start of the call, the tone felt defensive. I was cut off while explaining the issues, and instead of acknowledging the concern, the focus shifted to who performed the service. When I said the response rubbed me the wrong way, I was met with "so do you want to get it fixed or not," which felt dismissive and like my concern was more of an inconvenience than something to be addressed. A supervisor, Fiona, later reached out via text, which I appreciated. However, I still felt unheard, as the solution continued to be that the same technician would need to fix the issue. I was also told I would need to pay again if I wanted someone else. That's an uncomfortable position to put a client in and not how service recovery should be handled. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the front desk customer service has come across as unfriendly, and this experience was the point where I decided not to return. Best nail salon in the area! I had a gel mani and pedi today! I made an appointment and they honored the time so I didn't have to wait ( we all know how other nail salons take your appointment time but still make you wait) not this place! The nail tech was so kind and clean with the service I was impressed. My nail tech Fiona even went out of her way to write down the color I used for next time in case I wanted it again. My dip powder started chipping and cracking after one week. I thought typically salons put the gel top coat on top and under lamp to secure the dip powder? Maybe only some salons anyway this one did not. When I have gotten dip done at other salons, it lasts 2 weeks or more. Too pricey to start chipping so soon. Nail tech did a Great job shaping my nail. It's nice that they offer you drinks and do seem very clean. However, other salons have better services for better prices. read more

This review is long overdue. However, I have been coming to S Lounge faithfully for over three years. I've used many different technicians, especially in the beginning and I have always been really happy with my service from my first time and 2001. It was the first time I ever cried over how happy I was about my nails. I've had wonderful pedicures, full sets, fills , waxes . Etc. One day I came in and wanted something really specific to have done on my nails with a design that was a Taylor Swift theme for the era tour. My technician that day was Tony what Tony did for my nails was something even better than I could've ever imagined or described. It's still to this day is the picture that I show everybody about why I continuously will only go to Tony! I always work around his days off to make sure that I can have him and when he decided to go on vacation and leave me lol I used two other girls and they were also magnificent and I was very happy with them. While the salon is the most luxurious and relaxing atmosphere for a salon and they do the best that is all great and that's where their five stars come from. But what I wanna write about is what Tony , Nhi, the manager , as well as Fiona the owner , did for me last Sunday, October 5th. I'm going through roughly the hardest time I ever have in my entire life. I have felt completely broken down and defeated, and when I expressed what was going on in my life and small emotional detail.... These three people went above and beyond for me. They made sure that I was taking care of that. I was emotionally going to be OK, and that I wasn't going to be alone what the three of them did especially what Fiona personally did for me it's just something I've never seen before or experienced. She reached out to me in a dark time of my life and gave me so much needed help and encouragement . On Sunday October 5th, S lounge went from being my favorite nail salon to becoming my friends. My regular salon didn't have any appointments available the day I came here so that's why I went to S lounge. My pedicure only took 20 minutes, at my regular place it takes almost an hour, so this felt very rushed. My big toe hurts SO bad today and it's red and huge. I believe it's an ingrown. Lots of polish smudged on the sides of my nails and she wasn't using a polish remover when she got it on the areas around my fingernail. I wasn't sure if she couldn't see or she just didn't care. I did get regular polish that had to air dry. But that's not why the polish was on my skin. The women were friendly however. read more

I'm updating my review because after having an amazing experience with John and Jolie with my services for 2.5 years it started to spiral downhill after Jolie left the salon. I was never seen at my appointment time always waited at least 20mins to start my dip powders, however John was always prompt and amazing with my pedicures. After the 3rd of 4th time I voiced my concern to the new owner and he was kind and apologized and offered to do my service for free considering the inconvenience. So my next visit after having this convo with the owner was with another tech named Ivy since Nikki (who had been doing my nails since Jolie left ) was out on vaca. Mind you I went to this salon faithfully for dip nails/pedi every 2 weeks. From the second I sat in the chair this girl was rude to me like very obviously rude for what reason I had no idea. I asked her for her opinion on color on my nails and instead of answering me she was telling the girl doing my pedi but not directly speaking to me , her energy and tone with me was very passive aggressive and just plain RUDE! So I didn't initially say anything till when she was almost done with my nails I had asked her to file and straighten couple nails that were not even so this girl starts going off on me saying my nail is straight she doesn't know what more I want her to do etc just obnoxious to where I looked at her and said "is everything ok" then she continued to yell at me and say yes everything is fine are u fine etc... super unprofessional mind u. Then she stops doing my nails leaves my nails dry and leaves the pedicure seat area (where I was getting pedi done at Same time) to where the girl doing my pedi felt so bad she looked at me and apologized and said don't worry I will put oil on your nails before you leave. And when I was paying to leave the receptionist asked me how my service was and I told her how terrible Ivy was and how rude she was and the receptionists response to me was "oh no she wasn't rude she just talks like that" taking no accountability for how this girl acted. So for that reason I will not be returning to this salon. I gave them many chances since Jolie left but this was the icing on the cake. It's great in the beginning, then it becomes a long term nightmare. It's a place that has become you pay for the environment not the quality. I did not enjoy my experience at all. I got a pedicure that felt so rushed and the employee seemed like she didn't want to be bothered with the job. Scrubbed my feet for about 5 seconds each, when I asked her to put more pressure she didn't at all. The nail polish doesn't even go down to my cuticles so I'll be having to get another pedicure sooner than usual. At my regular salon I pay the same price ($65 for a gel pedicure) and they spend a solid hour on my feet. I was in and out of this place in 40min. I will not be returning to this salon. read more

No WiFi at all, my phone had no service. Got a pedicure and it was fine, but getting a manicure was the real problem. The woman started and took off the polish I had on my right hand. I told the woman I did not have acrylic on my nails and she insisted that I did and told me she was going to charge me to take it off. We went back and forth where I continued to tell her it's either dip or gel on my nails and that I've never had acrylic in my life and by the end i told her to forget it, I'd get my nails done somewhere else.
