New-ish Thai restaurant conveniently located 7 minutes from my house! The restaurant is small - only 4 tables inside, very clean. I ordered the lunch specials/ chicken pad see ew and shrimp pad Thai. The pad see ew was good, however the shrimp pad Thai was exceptionally tasty. I highly recommend and returning to try other Thai dishes!

Came to Kin-D with a colleagues as we were craving Thai. Cozy little joint - it had to be good and didn't disappoint . We started off with spicy Edamame and Gyoza with chicken - both were excellent . The mains were chicken pad Thai and chicken fried rice . Excellent along with the friendly service ! Definitely recommend!

    Chicken with basil lunch special

Ate in and really enjoyed the pad see ew lunch. We also ordered the boat noodle soup and chicken basil lunch. Pad see ew noodles were super tasty, noodles were soft and the wonton and salad that comes with the lunch special made it all very enjoyable. Boat noodle soup was alright, something is missing but I can't put finger on it. Maybe some spicyness? Still enjoyable and hit the spot on a cold day. Ground chicken with basil and sliced green beans was pretty good too. Again I love the lunch special because it comes with other items. It was a bit too much fish sauce but the veggies tasted fresh and crunchy. The only thing I would say could make it more enjoyable is the meat they use is very tough and thick. I can't wait to come back and try their lunch specials again and hopefully I just got a batch of tougher meat than usual. Service was super pleasant and attentive. Thank you for making our lunch enjoyable and tasty! We'll be back :)

Tried Kin-D Thai Kitchen for the first time and loved it! I ordered the pad see ew with chicken and a Thai tea--both were absolutely delicious. My friend ordered several different dishes and everything we tried was really good. I'll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu. The restaurant looks pretty new and fresh, but they told us it's been open for almost 2 years. It's a small shop with only a few tables, but the space is clean and welcoming. A great spot for tasty, authentic Thai food!

Had the yellow curry lunch special yesterday and I was not disappointed. The potatoes were nice and soft (other thai places never seem to cook the potatoes enough). The chicken was great and I enjoyed the side lunch salad. The portion size was also great for the price. Highly recommend.

This happy find was a result of good Yelp reviews. I always check yelp in new areas when my girlfriend asks, "where should we eat?" Takes out 90% of the indecision time. In a corner of a small shopping mall. Very small dining room only 4 tables. Great food and portions. I have to go down here every 10 days or so for the lunch special. I've tasted 3 different dishes and everything has been stellar, but you can't ever go wrong with the Chicken Pad Thai . Big kitchen behind a small order counter window

Might have found my new favorite Thai place in LA. Have been here twice and everything I've tried is amazing. The lunch plate is the way to go - your choice of entree, 2 -piece cream cheese wanton, and a side salad. We've tried the pad Thai, pad see ew and panang curry. Plus highly recommend the Thai tea. The service is amazing, everything is super friendly. The place itself is small with only a few small tables inside. My guess is that it's very popular for take out, and I can see why.

When we arrived it was apparent the "chef@ was also the hostess. As a result we waited quite a while to be greeted and seated. I should note that the chef did arrive about thirty minutes later. I ordered the Waan Om Khom Kluean yellow chicken curry and my guest had the deeb Sao Thai Pad Thai with shrimp. I also ordered a Thai ice tea and the server forgot to bring it. I had to remind her after my meal was almost finished. To me the chicken curry had a terrible unappetizing presentation. It looked like shredded chicken and big lumps of potatoes. In fast that's what it was. While the taste was pretty good, the over abundance of potatoes felt like a filler for less chicken. It was a decent dish but far from one of my favorites. The Pad Thai looked a lot better. My guest said it was good, not great, and that he'd order it again. Now to the price. Nearly $70 including the two dishes, one Thai ice tea and rice. This was not fine dining. I realize they have bills to pay but it was much more than I've paid at other Thai restaurants for similar meals. All parking is on the street. One need a bit of courage to park on PCH as passing cars make it scary to open the driver's door. Cars were flying by in the 40's and 50's and it's a very unsafe parking location.

Our larb salad was painfully salty to the point where it couldn't be enjoyed on its own and the kang kio wan curry was somehow watery and bland. Both the pork and beef were overcooked and tough. Unfortunately that the meal turned out to be such a flop, the chicken was the only thing that saved this from being a single star.

When you dine in they bring metal cups with an icy cold carafe of cold water to your table. Customer service is efficient. The person behind the counter is very soft spoken and gives you a slight smile but gets your order correct every time. Hands down so don't argue with me they have the absolute BEST orange chicken. It has a slight crunch on the outside while tender and juicy in the inside. The orange sauce is perfection. It has a great balance of salty and sweet without being overly sweet like an orange candy. It's not tart and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. They put the right amount of sauce so it is not drenched. Pair it with the garlic rice and the salad that crops and fresh no dressing is even needed. Order this and you will be happy. The regular white rice is good too! The Zapp chicken is crunchy, juicy and spicy. I normally cannot eat spicy but this one is perfect. Since my 24 year old son told me about this restaurant I've been here four times in the past month. Simply delicious!!!

In addition, Taishi Hainan Chicken also opened another location in Long Beach. [Parking]: The parking lot is fairly small and is shared with Chicken Maison, but there is usually a spot available to park. [Ordering]: There's a kiosk to place an order at the cashier counter and I didn't pay any additional fee. However if customers order online via Chowbus, then there is a $1 online ordering fee. I received my order in less than 10 minutes as I was the sole customer. [Atmosphere]: Casual dine-in atmosphere and nothing to write home about. [Menu]: For their signature Thai-style Hainan Chicken, customers can order original, fried, or mixed chicken. There is no longer a Yelp check-in offer for free Herbal Chicken Soup, but it remains another popular order. *** Mixed Hainan Chicken Rice ($15.72): This order came with two sauces - one dark & spicy soy sauce (good for fried white chicken) and one sweet & sour sauce (good for original white meat). I personally prefer the fried over the original. Decent portion and enough to feed 1 adult. Herbal Chicken Soup (with spicy dipping sauce - $9.65): This is a really nice soup to drink when you have a cold. The broth had 5 herbs - Codonopsis, Rhizoma, Goji Berry, Dioscorea, and Astragalus. The chicken soup also had mushrooms and the broth was very savory. *** Overall still a solid 4 stars for the Hainan chicken rice and herbal chicken soup. This is one of those places I wouldn't mind stopping by again if I am looking to switch things up with what I want to eat for the day.

I came in later in the evening as I had just flown in and was staying nearby. This is super close to the hotel I was staying in. I was seated quickly, and my server brought me a menu. I asked about the spice level of the dish I got, and they were able to tone it down. I ordered the spicy seafood dish. My server asked if I wanted rice, and, whether white or brown, I ordered brown. Where I live, rice comes with it, and I didn't think anything of it until I got the bill and saw a $2.50 charge for the rice. I didn't even finish the rice because I thought it was part of the dish. I didn't need the rice; if I knew it was extra, I just wouldn't have ordered it. I'm not sure if that is standard on the West Coast or in this area. Other than the rice snafu, I was really happy with this restaurant. I really wanted some mango with sticky rice, especially after the table across from me got some, but I was so full. I might have to go back later today to have an order, as I absolutely love that dessert. Anyway, I enjoyed my meal and would certainly come back here in the future and I highly recommend.
