I am 8 months pregnant and we were looking forward to our meal. we ordered delivery and they gave our order to someone who was not our driver. The owner (host or whoever) was rude to my husband on the phone and refused to remake our order. we even had our driver there ready to pick it up. So ridiculous. We liked the one in Manhattan Beach and we will never go to there or order from there again, just for how rude we were treated about something that was not our fault. Here's a thought: just remake the order to keep a customer. Talk to the delivery company and get refunded. Instead of losing loyal customers and acting as if it was our fault. This is a medium-sized restaurant with both booths and tables to sit at. I ordered eggplant with chicken and my boyfriend got kung pao chicken, both at medium level spice . Both dishes were part of the lunch/dinner specials so it came with a cup of soup, an egg roll, and a side of rice. The spicy eggplant was delicious with really fresh vegetables and tender chicken. I tasted my boyfriend's dish which was sweet with a nice kick. Both dishes were seasoned just right. The food here is very reasonably priced with a good portion size. The place was unclean. My food arrived with a long black hair in it. I notified the waiter, who simply acknowledged and took my plate without apology. He then brought a new plate, but I was hesitant. I took a small bite and requested the Thai-style sauces. To my disappointment, the spoon used to serve the sauce was covered with old, dried sauce, and the top of one sauce container had a hair. I told the waiter that the place was not clean, but he responded that I was complaining too much. Shocked, I pointed out the hair and the uncleanliness. A little hole in the wall that is a true gem! I was so close to not going into this restaurant at first. In the beginning; I struggled finding where the restaurant parking was until I figured out it shared the parking lot with a motel on the same lot. Secondly; it looked empty and I doubted whether it would be a good place to dine in. I'm so, so glad that I decided to give this spot a shot because I found a hidden gem! I came during lunch on a Friday. During the weekdays from Monday to Friday; they have lunch specials. I was so surprised to find their lunch specials at $9.95! This includes chicken, pork and beef dishes and comes with soup, an egg roll and rice. Fried rice is an extra $1. This lunch special is quite the deal! It's well worth the value and taste wise the food was pretty good. We tried the Green Curry with chicken as well as the Cashew Chicken. We got it mild though I have to say the Green Curry had quite the kick to it even with mild flavor. It loved how "saucy" the curry was. It was perfect over the white rice. The Cashew Chicken was also tasty and had a good share of cashews. I enjoyed the lunch specials so much that I ended up getting some Glass Noodles with beef to go for dinner. It was also a really delicious dish. Looks can definitely be deceiving and I never expected this small hole in the wall would be such a great place for Thai food. I been coming here for almost a year and I absolutely love it. This is a true authentic Thai mom and pop shop and a hidden gem. I've gone to countless restaurants looking for authentic Thai soup only for it to be Americanized. I order the seafood soup tom yum medium spicy and side of rice and it's the best soup in the world! Beats pho and on par with pozole. I've recommended this shop to many friends and all of them said it's the best Thai soup they had. The service is 10/10 in my opinion, wait time can be a little long but the owner will always be interested in getting to know you personally. This is probably my second review on this place but it just comes to show how consistent they are in food, and service. The ambience is most welcoming and warm. Went here a few weeks ago with my husband and some friends. Soundtrack was almost strictly Backstreet Boys which was um, interesting. We started with some drinks which came in kind of unique containers (see pics). My friend got a sake that had a little cut out to put ice so the ice isn't in the drink itself. My husband's Thai mojito came in a teacup/bowl type thing that he had to sort of bend down to drink. Kind of awkward. We ordered some spring rolls and dumplings for the table. They cut the spring rolls in half and plated them nicely - made it easier for us to split them, which we really appreciated. Those were good as were the pork dumplings. For dinner, I think I ordered a green curry (the menu online doesn't give as many details as in person). Portion was good and came with a decent size side of rice. However, why do all Thai restaurants insist on oddly shaped bowls that make it hard to eat out of/not spill/add rice to? Anyway, I was happy with my dinner and the portion size - I don't think I even finished all the rice. Some of my friends took leftovers home with them, too. I used to come here often when I lived nearby years ago and recently stopped by while in town for a trip. It hasn't changed and in a good way! The owner is friendly and warm and the same owner for all these years! The decor is more traditional but the restaurant is clean and well maintained. The food was delicious and fresh and brought back nostalgic memories for me. The food portions were fair and the prices were very reasonable. I was working out of town and got hungry. I was tired of fast food and noticed a Thai restaurant literally in the parking lot of my hotel I was staying in. So glad I tried it. The yellow curry with chicken has just the right amount of heat. The peas and carrots went really well with the coconut milk and potato that was nestled in the creamy curry sauce. The bamboo shoots gave it just the right amount of crunch. Of course I had to get the sticky rice so I could pour some of the delicious curry over it.
