The tempura was delicious! The shrimp tempura was massive! However the chicken tempura tasted nothing like it used to. Paper thin, all we tasted was the crispy coating zero meat taste, they also forgot the katsu sauce which I think they mix in house. We told the server and he apologized brought us the sauce and we explained the katsu was way overcooked and barely edible. He said he will take it off the bill. When the bill came he apologized again as I showed him this definitely didn't look like what it used to. He was super apologetic and said sorry the kitchen was so busy today. It was kind they took care of it so gave them 3 star instead of 2. But it was nonetheless a disappointing lunch. But they were super nice about it. Might go back to try something else.

There are only about 4 to 5 spots in the front, and while there are some smaller plaza parking lots nearby and another parking lot across the street, most of the spots are marked for whatever store they're in front of, so park at your own risk. Upon entering, there aren't that many tables either. There isn't a lot of room for bigger groups but they can merge some of the tables together. The biggest issue for us was definitely how long and uneven the wait for the food was. We ordered at 12:15 PM and got our salads about 10 minutes later, but after that, the food came out pretty sporadically. The first actual dish didn't come until 12:44 PM, which was the tempura from the two-person set. Parts of the other meals and the rest of the two-person set slowly came out between 12:46 and 12:49 PM. The 30-piece sashimi and sushi set didn't arrive until 1:04 PM, almost 50 minutes after we ordered, and the actual salmon teriyaki which was just a small salad, salmon teriyaki and steamed rice from the bento was the last thing to come out at 1:09 PM, about 54 minutes after ordering. By that point, we had already finished the entire two-person set and another person had finished their udon and sushi combo. It's just not ideal when you're eating with a group and some people haven't even gotten the main part of their meal while everyone else is already finished. It also didn't seem like it was only our table. The table in front of us had a pasta order that seemed to have been missed. We heard the server say it was about to be ready, and then heard someone from the kitchen respond with something along the lines of, "There's another order for it?" So I do think the timing and communication between the kitchen and servers is something they need to improve on. We were served our salads first, but didn't get our miso soups until we asked for them. They were planning to serve them with the meals, but since we had already been waiting so long, we ended up just asking if we could have them first. For food, I got the two-person lunch set for $52, which came with a large veggie udon, 9 pieces of sashimi, 6 pieces of sushi, an additional 6 pieces of a classic roll, and tempura. We chose the spicy scallop maki for our roll. The sushi and sashimi were good, and the tempura was good as well. The veggie udon was a little disappointing though. It had one bok choy, a few pieces of mushroom, and then was mostly just strands of onion. The spicy scallop maki was also just okay since I couldn't really taste much scallop. Price-wise, I do think it's a little on the higher side for what you get. The quality was good overall, but for the price I would've liked a little more, especially considering the wait. Between how difficult parking is and how long and unevenly the food came out, I'm not really in any hurry to return. I think the wait bothered me more because we were eating as a group, and by the time two people finally got their food, the rest of us were completely finished. If they can improve the timing of getting everyone's meals out somewhat together, it would make the experience a lot better. 5% off with cash.

Along with chicken and beef dishes, they also have a noodle soup (which is delicious) as well as a sushi dish on the menu (which I'll never try, but I've heard is great), so there's something for everyone. Service is almost always polite and fast, and although the place is a bit older in appearance, it's well take care of and inviting. I'm definitely looking forward to many more meals here!

Every table had a set of crayons and paper that you could use to draw. It seemed very family and kids-friendly. The interior was small, cozy, and had a very homey vibe. We were seated in a booth which added to the coziness feeling. Food came out relatively quickly, and everything was decent. Unagi Don came with a good amount of unagi and avocado slices, on top of a heap of rice. Kaizen Don was excellent - it came with thick slices of sashimi (salmon, tuna, shrimps, and imitation crab). Every donburi (rice bowl) came with house green salad and miso soup. We chose to add on a few extra green salads. Sushi rolls that we ordered as a group all came on one long wooden board - perfect for sharing. I wish the asparagus in the asparagus roll wasn't battered and deep-fried (tempura style). The size of the sushi, the quality of the rice, and the freshness of the fish are all perfected. Some other sushi spots nearby are more customized to suit the local market. Tomo recently renovated the entire restaurant, giving it a more modern and stylish look. The prices seem to have stayed the same, but they no longer provide complimentary crunchy noodle soup or orange slices after the meal. We've been ordering their Chef's Choice Party Tray for years. Recently, they introduced an even more premium option above that. It's a bit too expensive for us, so this time we ordered from their seasonal Summerlicious menu instead. Every dish had interesting flavors and was well worth trying. The service is always friendly and consistent. We'll definitely continue coming back to try more of their menu.
