I really wanted to love Kincaid's because it has all the makings of a 5-star experience, but it just didn't amaze me like I hoped. Starting with drinks, the espresso martini is MASSIVE, but the flavor didn't match the hype. It's served more dark than creamy (which I personally like), but overall just okay. The crab artichoke dip was easily the star of the show! It is so good! But, the bread situation... I would've loved a softer, homemade bread instead of the super hard crisps that were flavorless and cut the roof of your mouth. Coconut shrimp appetizer was also really delicious and tasted homemade, but the portion felt a bit small for the price (not surprising, but still worth noting). For the main, I had the NY strip, and this is where things really fell short. It only came with three asparagus (??), and the steak itself was surprisingly bland and a bit chewy even at medium rare. I was kind of expecting to taste the best steak of my life here:( Now, redemption: the carrot cake dessert. GET IT! It's so yummy & loaded with nuts (no raisins!), and I loved that it came with ice cream. Easily the highlight to end the meal. Overall, Kincaid's was a good experience, but for a place that feels like it should be top-tier, I left wishing it had that extra wow factor...maybe next time? read more

What a find. After multiple delays (our plane twice, and then our rental car) -- we missed our Kincaid reservation, but finally arrived. What we didn't realize was it was practically closing time. The manager urged us to stay! We're so glad he did. Our waitress Lori gave us a warm welcome, and we enjoyed the elegant interior. Then, both our meals, the Seafood Trio and the Surf and Turf were completely delicious--each item was tender, flavorful...just excellent. And it got even better. The creme brulee was the best either of us had ever had. ("Oh my gosh" was my husband's repeated comment. :^) Kincaid's was the perfect landing spot. I frequent the St. Paul location but had not been to this location before. Met my friend here for dinner and definitely didn't expect the restaurant to be under some apartments or condos. I actually kept driving past it because I could find a sign. Once I realized it was in the fact the restaurant I was happy to find ample garage parking because it was freezing outside. The inside was beautiful! Marble, spiral staircase, plants galore, it's definitely a different vibe from St. Paul. It was much bigger too with 2 different sides. I had the no-alcohol espresso martini and it was delicious!! We had the calamari which is always a great choice. For my entree I got the fried scallops that were dress to perfection! I came here for a work dinner this week. The vibe here is 80s/90s executive suite. The high rise building it is in gives Die Hard Nakatomi Tower vibes. The marble everywhere, the tropical plants the mini waterfall/fountain. We sat at a long table off by itself in what seemed like a hallway, so we were not really connected to the restaurant, but all good because we were well taken care of by our server and the staff. I had the filet and while not the best ever, it was very good and the bearnaise sauce was very good. They had some good wines by the glass, too. Overall, a very good meal. Claudia the new general manager has created such a toxic work environment that in the 2 months she's been there 12 long term people have left. She is truly evil and she terminated an employee who has cancer and terminated an extremely reliable and hard-working server after their father had passed. Dozens of people have called Landry's HR and HR doesn't seem to care and are protecting her for some reason. She has driven most of her staff out of there and you will not get good service because there's not a staff there anymore. I ordered Kincaid's from door dash with RC and the food here never disappoints. As usual, the Broadway Pea Salad is a must-have and I ate every morsel. The shaved radish and water chestnut add a nice crunch and a little bite, but the star for me is the fresh peas. RC ordered the ribs, but they weren't available and they substituted the pork chop. He was a little disappointed but said it was very good and grabbed a roll to sop up the remaining sauce. Finally, I had the rich, sumptuous Lobster Bisque. This and French Onion soup are my favorite soups and this bisque is meant to be savored. Maybe with a glass of wine. The lobster chunks were lovely and not overcooked at all. My husband and I visited Kincaids on Mother's Day. We had an 8:45pm dinner reservation, but ran late due to traffic, and ended up arriving a couple of minutes past 9pm. Even though they closed at 9pm, the manager (Herman) was so kind and accommodating in still honoring our reservation. We had such a great time. The ambiance was beautiful, the food was superb and all of the staff, including Herman the manager who was veeeery personable and professional, our waitress who was super nice, as well as the camera man who took our beautiful mother's day picture. Classy ambiance, great service and delicious classic American food. A perfect location for our team of 8 to take our boss out for lunch and wish him a happy retirement. It was a unique location at the bottom floor of a high rise office building in Bloomington. But the ramp parking was extremely convenient and just a few steps and stairs from the restaurant. As we walked in, I immediately appreciated the plentiful sunshine, relaxing water features and landscaped rocks and plants adorning the seating area. The service was excellent - our server was attentive, friendly and constantly filled our drinks. Everything on the menu sounded delicious so it was hard to choose. I LOVED my prime rib sandwich. The meat was so tender, juicy and flavorful. The bread was toasted perfectly and the side of fries was nicely seasoned. 3 others at our table ordered salads, 2 ordered fish and chips and 1 ordered coconut shrimp. The salad peeps were happy with their choices. The fish and chips looked delicious so I'll try it next time we come here. And the one who ordered coconut shrimp said it was yummy but only slightly better than the ones she buys frozen at Trader Joe's. I visited Kincaids with my wife on a recent date night. We came in on the first Saturday of 2023 so fitting this will be my first official review of 2023. Setting: The restaurant is in a unique place, the Willis Tower in Bloomington. Since this area is more business park, it was hard to find at first but look for the Tower and the parking garage and you will see a sign that will point you in the right direction. Upon getting into the restaurant, we were greeted with what best I can describe as Rainforest Cafe for adults. Think dark woods and live plants and waterfall scattered throughout a modern seating atmosphere. the sound of trickling water and green plant was inviting and relaxful on a cold winter night. It reminded me of what Woolleys Steakhouse looked like in the Embassy Suites in Bloomington before they did a reconfiguration of that space. The setting that they are aiming for is upscale supper club with a picture of ages coming out to dine. Service: The service here is professional and friendly. Most staff are dressed in black and white and it reminds me of an upscale eatery that you would find in downtown Minneapolis. This restaurant is part of the Landry's restaurant family and so if you have status with them you can earn points and utilize gift cards and special promos at certain times. Food: the menu was reminiscent of a classic Steakhouse with an assortment of surf and turf options. We decided to skip a cocktail and instead share an appetizer and did the crab and artichoke dip. The dip reminded me of something you would find served in the 1960s or '70s for New Year's Eve, full of crab and mayo with bits of artichoke, garlic, and onion. It was a good way to start the night as well as the complimentary table bread just added to our carb intake. I decided to go with a classic staple, the fish and chips while my wife tried their almond encrusted scallops. The scallop dish came with decent sized scallops on a plate of really tasty garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. The scallop texture was a tad rubbery but that was more due to the deep fry than any issue with cooking. My fish was lightly battered and flaky and served with a really tasty homemade tartar sauce. Final Verdict: A good option for date nights, especially if you are part of the Landry's loyalty program. It saves you the drive into downtown Minneapolis for a good surf and turf restaurant and you also can switch it up from Rainforest Cafe or Bubba Gumps if you're feeling like something more upscale to use your Laundry points on. read more

Came here for the first time to have brunch for Thanksgiving and boy did I wish I would've went somewhere else! The only thing good was the creamed kale and mashed potatoes. I understand I went on Thanksgiving Day and they were all booked out but every table around us that arrived after me (even large groups) were getting served before my table. Some even got their tabs while we were still sitting there waiting. It took an hour for our meals to arrive and we barely saw our server. I asked the waiter whether they could make me a veggie plate because the sides looked great, and man did they deliver. The creamed kale is noteworthy (seriously, guys, try it).
