Kincaid's was a really great first experience for me. I had put a note on my reservation saying that I wanted to really experience the restaurant, and it was very nice that the restaurant and staff actually noticed it. We ended up with Jerry as our server, and he was a very good server and genuinely nice guy. He was a great person to have handling my first visit to Kincaid's. I liked this place a lot. It was easy to get to, parking was easy, and I really liked that you can park right in the parking garage. The atmosphere has that cozy, slightly older-school steak and seafood restaurant feel. It feels upscale without being uncomfortable. My partner wanted the Calamari and had no complaints at all. He ate the entire thing himself since I don't eat calamari. The table bread was also good and came topped with garlic butter, which gave it a nice savory start to the meal. I went with the prix-fixe menu and chose the Caesar Salad followed by the 8 oz Sirloin, adding the Caramelized Shallot & Roasted Garlic Butter. The Caesar was good and wasn't too heavy on the dressing. They also add a little citrus to theirs, which made it taste a little brighter and fresher instead of overly rich. The Sirloin was good and was cooked the way I asked. Since I added the butter, they put the Demi-Glace on the side. It came with mashed potatoes, carrots, and broccolini, and everything on the plate was good and delicious. The Shallot & Garlic Butter added some extra richness and flavor without overpowering the steak. We also shared the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese. It was good, but honestly it tasted more like really buttery noodles than a strongly cheesy Mac & Cheese. The flavor was mild and very buttery. That's not necessarily a bad thing because buttered noodles are still good, but I was expecting a little more White Cheddar flavor. My partner chose the Clam Chowder and Crab Stuffed Salmon. He said the Clam Chowder was really good. He also enjoyed the Salmon, although he thought it was a little overcooked. It was still something he liked overall. We both had the Dragon Fizz, a zero-proof drink with coconut, dragon fruit-lime, pineapple, and club soda. It was one of the drinks Jerry recommended, and I'm glad he did. It was fruity, refreshing, and lightly tropical without feeling like I was just drinking a regular soda. We finished with the Crème Brûlée, which was also good. It had a great crisp sugar crust on top with that satisfying crack, and underneath it was smooth, creamy, and exactly how Crème Brûlée should be. Kincaid's has officially become one of my favorites from my A-to-Z restaurant list. I definitely want to come back to try more of the menu, and I would happily ask for Jerry as our server again. Great first experience.

This was a great experience. The food was amazing and our server was incredibly personable. The garlic buttered bread he brought was like crack, dripping with garlicky butter. My girlfriend got the scallops and they were perfectly seared and beautifully plated. With a pretty fair portion of them and a reasonable price. The rigatoni I had was also a really great and a big portion. They gave us a free crème brulee because of my girlfriend's birthday and our friends' anniversary. The ambiance is slightly individual...it is attached to an office building and so it feels a little...something. But it has water features and plants. Overall a great place to have a special evening somewhere outside of Minneapolis with convenient highway access and parking. Often overlooked.

Went to Bloomington location and ate on patio. Beautiful setting! Had Cicaro for a server and he was fabulous - attentive, funny and professional. Food as always is delicious. Had lobster bisque and crème brûlée. Amazing!!! I purposefully don't eat a lot for meal as I need the dessert. Look forward to coming back.

I really wanted to love Kincaid's because it has all the makings of a 5-star experience, but it just didn't amaze me like I hoped. Starting with drinks, the espresso martini is MASSIVE, but the flavor didn't match the hype. It's served more dark than creamy (which I personally like), but overall just okay. The crab artichoke dip was easily the star of the show! It is so good! But, the bread situation... I would've loved a softer, homemade bread instead of the super hard crisps that were flavorless and cut the roof of your mouth. Coconut shrimp appetizer was also really delicious and tasted homemade, but the portion felt a bit small for the price (not surprising, but still worth noting). For the main, I had the NY strip, and this is where things really fell short. It only came with three asparagus (??), and the steak itself was surprisingly bland and a bit chewy even at medium rare. I was kind of expecting to taste the best steak of my life here:( Now, redemption: the carrot cake dessert. GET IT! It's so yummy & loaded with nuts (no raisins!), and I loved that it came with ice cream. Easily the highlight to end the meal. Overall, Kincaid's was a good experience, but for a place that feels like it should be top-tier, I left wishing it had that extra wow factor...maybe next time?

I frequent the St. Paul location but had not been to this location before. Met my friend here for dinner and definitely didn't expect the restaurant to be under some apartments or condos. I actually kept driving past it because I could find a sign. Once I realized it was in the fact the restaurant I was happy to find ample garage parking because it was freezing outside. The inside was beautiful! Marble, spiral staircase, plants galore, it's definitely a different vibe from St. Paul. It was much bigger too with 2 different sides. I had the no-alcohol espresso martini and it was delicious!! We had the calamari which is always a great choice. For my entree I got the fried scallops that were dress to perfection! I would return to this location for a more spacious or brighter ambiance experience!

I came here for a work dinner this week. The vibe here is 80s/90s executive suite. The high rise building it is in gives Die Hard Nakatomi Tower vibes. The marble everywhere, the tropical plants the mini waterfall/fountain. We sat at a long table off by itself in what seemed like a hallway, so we were not really connected to the restaurant, but all good because we were well taken care of by our server and the staff. I had the filet and while not the best ever, it was very good and the bearnaise sauce was very good. They had some good wines by the glass, too. Overall, a very good meal. There is ample parking in the garage immediately attached to the restaurant entrance.

There were still some things we really enjoyed, though, and I'm glad we gave it a try. We started with the French Onion Soup, which was one of my favorite parts of the meal. I loved that they used croutons instead of one giant piece of bread. Much easier to eat--no fighting with a giant bread raft to get to my soup! The flavor was really nice too. I had the Bolognese Pappardelle, which was good, and my partner really enjoyed his Hanger Steak. He also tried the Garlic Herb Mushrooms, but those weren't really his thing. I ordered the N.A. Lela Punch, and that one surprised me. I wasn't sure about it at first, but it grew on me as I drank it. Apparently we just needed a little time to get acquainted. Dessert was an adventure. I decided to try the White Chocolate Panna Cotta because I'd never had panna cotta before. It was beautifully plated, but this is also how I learned panna cotta has a Jell-O-like texture... and I do not like Jell-O. That's definitely a me problem rather than a criticism of how it was prepared. At least I can officially say I've tried panna cotta! I ended up trying the Crème Brûlée as well. Unfortunately, that wasn't my favorite either. I usually love crème brûlée, but I prefer the custard very smooth and creamy, and this one was thicker than I personally like. My partner had the Chocolate Molten Cake and thought it was okay, but it wasn't a favorite for him either. Overall, Lela had some definite highlights--the French Onion Soup, Bolognese Pappardelle, and Hanger Steak especially--but we also had a few misses. I can understand why other people really enjoy it; it just wasn't quite the restaurant for us. And hey, every restaurant adventure can't end with a new favorite. That's half the fun of trying them all!

I selected a full rack of ribs, and the meat fell right off the bone. They had the perfect blend of BBQ, smoke, and tanginess. The sauce was not runny and stuck to the ribs. I didn't even bother with the fries. The coleslaw was mediocre and was lacking in flavor, but the ribs were heavy. We had a few glasses of wine to quench our thirst and relaxed and had great conversations as we caught up. Bryn checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed and provided perfect service.
