First time at Redstone. Liked the open atmosphere. Service by Sara was very good. The bar was a little slow, but she kept us updated like a good server should. Started with the skillet, Lodge cornbread. It was amazing and delicious. Although hard to recommend it because it is so filling you're not gonna be able to finish your entrée I bet. Maybe the best skillet cornbread I've had! For our entrées, we tried the margarita flatbread, the chicken pesto Bellagio, and the Cajun ribeye with a loaded baked potato. The flatbread was a bit disappointing, but the other two were pretty good. The steak was cooked medium rare, as ordered, and had a very good flavor. We made a trip to meet up with some friends for Father's Day brunch and had a fabulous experience. As you walk into the establishment, it is decorated and has the feel of a lodge. We were seated and had a view of the pond or water. Our server, Bryn, brought us a few glasses of bubbles to start while we looked at the menu. Bryn gave us some good recommendations, and we went with the Redstone breakfast. Redstone is known for their ribs, so what else could I choose? I selected a full rack of ribs, and the meat fell right off the bone. They had the perfect blend of BBQ, smoke, and tanginess. The sauce was not runny and stuck to the ribs. I didn't even bother with the fries. The coleslaw was mediocre and was lacking in flavor, but the ribs were heavy. We had a few glasses of wine to quench our thirst and relaxed and had great conversations as we caught up. Bryn checked up on us and made sure we had all we needed and provided perfect service. came here for a work event and the entire back was reserved. They were able to accommodate about 25 people in the space and the food was buffet style. We came an hour earlier and we were able to drink before our food was ready. Very clean place and the bathrooms are nice. (even have a tv in front of the urinal) Food was pretty good although I wish it was spicier and actually have beef. The vegetables were the best part. The dessert was a cheese cake most mostly just whipped cream. The bartender were the mvp. our group most have had over 100 drinks. They make a mean Manhattan. The interior space is gorgeous, with deep wood tones and comfortable seating. It has an upscale vibe, and the service is attentive and welcoming. I really liked how the waitress went out of her way to highlight items on the menu that were exceptional and/or popular (such as the braised short ribs or the Parmesan crusted fish). We came for happy hour and an appetizer before a nearby event, but the menu looked so good that we decided to split an entree and opted for the BBQ glazed meatloaf. I was pleasantly surprised by how cool this restaurant was. I walked around the lake from my hotel with a good read and plopped myself down at the bar. The bartender, I believe his name was Scott, was super friendly and immediately greeted me. He provided water and made me a good ol Jameson soda and lime. I told him I was trying to decide between two things and and went with the burger per his recommendation. He didn't put the order in til I told him I was ready that way I could read and enjoy my drink before taking my food back to the hotel. He checked in frequently as did another bartender, and they really made me feel welcome. They clearly were used to both regulars and business visitors as their conversation was pleasant. I'll definitely go back and eat here next time I am in town for work. read more

The Redstone American Grill is a classy restaurant that my husband and I treated ourselves to on our trip to Minnesota. When traveling, it is difficult to eat healthy, so we each decided to get a salad. I had the chicken chopped salad while my husband had the original Thai chicken salad. I enjoyed all of the veggies in my salad, while my husband's salad dressing had a sweet and tangy taste to it. I really liked the cornbread croutons in my salad. My only complaint is the price. Twenty-three dollars for a chicken salad is a bit expensive. But it was yummy and our server was super nice. I recommend Redstone American Grill. read more

We stopped for lunch and I had the chicken lettuce wraps lunch special that came on iceberg lettuce with steaming hot rice on top! The only good thing was the sauce it came with. For me, this place was a solid 4 ish stars. You walk in the place was large and giving off "sophisticated, but family" vibe. The dark wood takes over the decor, wonder how dim it gets at night. The establishment overlooks, a large pond, which tries to give it a little scenic, vibe, and busy bustling in Eden Prairie. Our server was kind and considerate and pleasant with causal conversation. She was prompt along with her co-workers and managers that followed up with everything. (Do they pool tips? Dunno) We got the filet, artichoke dip, and Thai Noddles with filet. The partial loss of rating was the $32 Thai Noddles with red meat was super greasy and an American take on classic Thai. Not my thing, wish they would have labeled it as something else. Note: saw no less than six cornbread appetizers during our time there. I had a good experience and will be coming back for these carbs, some flatbread and perhaps the fondue dip on the app menu. There were a few highlights along with low points that resulted in my rating, but from a food perspective, unfortunately I didn't manage to find anything spectacular. I will elaborate on what I have mentioned below. The Brussels sprouts were very similar to how they are usually made in restaurants to cater to people's taste in tolerating vegetables, including honey glaze, bacon, and aioli, which I thought was interesting because I tasted sriracha. It was good overall, and if I am corrected, it most likely was deep fried, which helped with the taste. The wings were good overall and were not too dry, and even if we ordered it plain, I could taste the seasoning on the skin. I appreciated that they allowed us to have sauce on the side. Some of the dishes I didn't enjoy included the baby back ribs and the wedge salad. The ribs had a good amount of meat, which was good, and definitely fell off the bones. But the sauce was so overwhelming to the point that I was tasting more sauce than meat. I know that ribs can be like that sometimes, but I don't want to normalize it. The wedge salad was too overwhelmingly blue cheese to the point that the crumbled blue cheese dominated the flavor entirely and I couldn't taste anything else. That was the dish that my friend didn't finish, and I couldn't finish, either, because of such. I think if one visits the area and wants to look for a decent American grill, then this is a solid place, but I would highly advise one to be cautious about what they order because unfortunately nothing I ordered today was a hit hit, even though some had the potential to be. read more

My husband and I stopped into our favorite restaurant for brunch this past Sunday, and unfortunately, it was a complete disappointment. We knew exactly what we wanted and ordered right away, including two Bloody Marys. After nine minutes, still no drinks. At that point our food order was already in--otherwise we would have left. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We asked our server about the timing, and he said they were "just behind." Another six minutes passed, making it 15 minutes total before the drinks finally arrived. While waiting, I had a clear view of the kitchen line and noticed our chopped salad had been sitting in the window that entire time. Not great. We ordered a burger and the salad to share. We didn't even eat the salad because it was drenched in dressing, though the burger was fabulous. The manager did comp our Bloody Marys, which we appreciated, but overall it just felt like no one really cared. Beautiful location with large windows to enjoy the water and greenery outside. Landscaping outside the restaurant is lovely and the patio looked so good that it made me want to sit outside. The inside of the restaurant is nice and visually appealing. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our waitress ensured our cups were refilled before they were empty and did not forget to bring anything we asked for. The food was soooo good! Not one complaint from anyone in our party of six. Every plate looked like something out of a magazine and everyone raved about their food. I got the classic fondue with steak and my boyfriend got the meatloaf dinner.
