Everything we tried was delicious. It wasn't too busy when we came in, so there was plenty of seating. I really enjoyed all the napkin art displayed on the napkin dispensers. There's also lots of colorful art on the walls. Our food was ready pretty quickly. My favorite things I tried were the avocado bao and the spicy chicken bao. Also the prices are super reasonable! $11 for two bao and a drink is pretty good!

10/10 location highly recommend it definitely is the easiest and access to Baos you will have and you won't be disappointed. The vibe is cool for a casual outing, or a group setting. Food comes out quick and tastes amazing, sometimes I when I get the hot chicken it comes a little dry. But I highly recommend here!

This place offers a surprising and refreshing assortment of fusion pan-Asian Bao. I had the HoiSin rib bao. It is very much a 'McRib' formed patty- formed in the shape of ribs, tucked in a bao. It was good but I'd have preferred a piece of barbecued rib more than 'patty'. Nevertheless the taste was very good. I just don't prefer mystery meat. I also had the hot chicken bao. That one was really good! The chicken was moist and tender and the guo chu Jiang sauce was on point with it. The best part of King Bao was the staff. Dude was fun to talk to, passionate about the bao he made - and about the cool fun sad scremo rock soundtrack he was bumpin' with the bao-making. Cool guy.

Always a good meal when stopping by King Bao. Some of the best Bao's around. Anytime I'm in the area, I do my best to stop by King Bao. Served hot, each Bao comes loaded. I wish there was a location in Jacksonville.

I haven't had King Bao since 2019 and it was just as good as I remembered! I ordered three bao including chicken, shrimp and avocado. I also ordered a side of the street corn tots. The food was fresh, delicious and the prices are still really cheap. It's a little over $5 per bao.

It's been 8 or 9 years since I've been here. This is a place I would grab lunch only. Super casual. It was just has good as I remembered. Got 4 buns, only ate two and shared the rest. The lobster bao was amazing! I love the fried bun. Highly rrecommend. Was greeted when I got in and the staff were very helpful.

Food: the food is awesome. It comes out fresh and crispy. I usually get the 2 Bao combo that comes with a drink. The tots are cooked to perfection. I like the location because I can get a tea next door. Service: it went from a person cashier to a tablet. You don't get much interaction with them. Our food came out quick but it was in between lunch and dinner time. Ambiance: cute place but it can be crowded during peak times.

I was in town on business and craved some Asian food. Found this little gem and it was amazing. The Lobster Bao blew me away, I'm from the North East and it was better than most Lobster Rolls up there. Check this place out, they have a nice menu and mayn't options a great prices.

Came for a quick dinner because we love coming here! I got the hot honey and the curry baos. It's easy ordering on the computer and I like that they have pictures. There's lot of options to try something new every time!

If you are looking for a fast and delicious food, this is the place to check out. We ordered pretty much all the bao flavors and everything taste. Fresh, non-greasy and cost effective meal. We will be back hoping will be lucky to get a good parking spot. That will be only drawback on this place.

3 bao combo - soft shell crab, chicken curry and elote baos

My friends and I went to King Bao for dinner and had an interesting experience, one that was a first for me here. There was a visible burnt oil smell in the air which ended up sticking to all our clothes and hair even after we left the smell stayed with us. Additionally, the smell and air was so strong that it was affecting our eyes. We had to leave immediately after eating because our eyes were starting to burn. Despite the atmosphere, the food was the highlight. I ordered the 3 bao combo which included an Elote bao, soft shell crab bao and a chicken curry bao. The buns were perfectly fluffy, and all the fillings were flavorful and well balanced. The service was average.

You can't go wrong with King Bao. Small, local chain. Always cooked to order promptly, with awesome flavors and a nice variety to fit any taste. Their sides are also seller but the baos are where it's at. The meal is very reasonable and the environment is small, casual, but inviting. The staff are also friendly and hard workers. I always recommend stopping in for a tasty, filling bite that won't break the bank. Enjoy the local artwork (some for sale!), the artistry that goes into these tasty baos, and be prepared to want to return to try more flavors!

Had this place recommended to me and it did not disappoint! The bao are hearty and filled with a lot of toppings and protein - making them feel like a more substantial quick meal. I was hungry but not looking for a full meal, and 2 bao was the perfect size.

Service is fast, baos are good with lots of options. Baos are small though and quite costly for the size. Ambience is creative.

Are the bao buns gluten free?

I don't believe so since most bao is made with flour, though you may want to call the restaurant to confirm and see if they have gluten-free versions!

    Are the tots vegan?

Yes just make sure you get them plain

    Is there msg?

Probably, but remember it's not bad for you ;)

    Gluten free menu?

I have gone with a friend who is gluten free and she orders the tots with no problem.

Quality here is really great you wouldnt believe they offer real hokkaido uni and assortment of Japanese sushi white fish prepared so fresh. To top it off they remembered my reservation for my wife's bday and gave a free bday dessert with a candle on top. Service is excellent our server surprised us by knowing so much about great japanese dishes and how they should be prepared. The interior threw us off because it is so nicely designed and is in a plaza next door to a 4 guys we thought it was another tourist trap but I was glad to be so wrong about my initial impressions. Wish they had a restaurant just like this back home as they hit the spot and did more that just check the boxes on my scorecard. Would return if I was ever back in town in the future.

Then I noticed not a single soul sitting at the sushi bar and she said it would be a few minutes. Ok that's fine, but then we were seated next to 2 girls who had a "service dog" in the restaurant that was actually barking because I thought it was just children(This is not a joke). Most of the rolls I ordered weren't filled with any fish(all California rolls dressed up as pricy rolls) just had slight fish on top and I had to specifically ask for the "classic sushi menu" as it was not offered. Would avoid. Naomi we both know that putting a vest on a normal dog doesn't make it a service dog

A good place to be in if you like Japanese bar food…read more The decors were composed of a ton of old Japanese advertisements. They had interesting seating arrangements, like bars and window seating can only be sit by parties of two. Getting a space was not easy. Hostess was kind and helpful. Food: fried chicken was a bit dry. Not the Japanese crunchy puffy shell kind. Not bad. Yakitoris are all excellent! Nothing to complain. We ordered everything on the menu. All are good. All cooked to American perfection. Gyoza was good. Nothing to write home about. Ramen: tonkusut black was excellent. Broth was done with time. Tori was good. Also thick broth! We almost always have Asuka as our server, and she's seriously the sweetest. She's always so welcoming and somehow always recommends something that ends up becoming a new favorite. They've added more ramen to the menu since my last review, and the Tan Tan ramen has quickly become one of my favorites. The spicy sesame peanut broth is rich, flavorful, and has just the right amount of heat. If I'm not in the mood for ramen, I always go with the shiso butter yaki onigiri with a side of pork chashu. They torch the butter right at your table, which is such a fun touch, and it smells incredible. The mentaiko fries are still a must order every single visit, and for dessert you can't skip the matcha tiramisu or the taro ice cream with the hot green tea. The ramen, grilled meats, addicting appetizers, fun drinks, awesome atmosphere, and consistently amazing staff are exactly why I keep coming back. Easily one of my favorite spots in Orlando.
