I visited King Buffet and was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the food. For a buffet, the variety and taste were above average. They had a great selection of sushi, and it was fresh and flavorful. However, I was really disappointed by the cheese wontons. They were gross--the dough was still raw and sticky, and the filling was bland and a small portion. Definitely a letdown. The lo main was fine, but lacked flavor. The grilled salmon lacked flavor, but thankfully it wasn't fishy tasting. The fried dumplings were the best thing there. Very flavorful, large, and crispy. The sushi was good for a buffet. Some of it was dry, likely sitting out too long, but they had a good variety and most of them tasted good. The parking situation was decent, with a large lot shared by a strip mall. However, it can sometimes be tricky to find a spot, especially since the plaza is shared with a very busy Chick-fil-A. Unfortunately, the service was poor. Our server only checked on us once, and they spent most of the night in the back. We never got refills, and dishes piled up on the table, which took away from the dining experience. My friends and I came here on Christmas (because that's what you do and Chinese restaurants are open on Christmas day). This place was packed so you know it is good! We maybe had to wait 20 minutes but that's okay. I will have to say holy cow there are a lot of food options and pretty good quality for being a buffet. There is a mini hibachi grill (some meats, some veggies and some sauces...not full hibachi choices but fairs well for a buffet). The other side of the hibachi is a wide selection of different sushi rolls and sushi to try. After that there is a decent size salad bar and then the hot buffet of Chinese food. One thing I'm not sure is if this place regularly has crab legs or not but they did not on Christmas, but they did have a soft shell crab that was pretty tasty with whatever seasoning was on it. I will say this is a rarity with the not so many Chinese buffets in the Denver metro. I'll be back. read more

Called and asked for price. Told it was around $10 per person. When we received our check the price were around $15 per person. Another apparent stunt was reducing child's ages from the customary 12 years old to 10 years to qualify for child prices. The beef was extremely tough and disappointing Also the ice cream was terrible. But they put out ice cream one can pay extra for. The atmosphere and food selection are better than most of Asian buffets in the Denver area. Although it did not have the raw oyster and crab legs as Hiro, but it was a leg up on other items, as least on the opening day. Taking into account of the $14.59 price for dinner, it is certainly worth trip and I was pleasantly surprised. read more
