Visited this gem for the first time. I live behind citadel crossing and have been waiting for this place to open(for what seemed an eternity). It was worth the wait. The seafood salad was excellent, the sushi was of good quality and the Mongolian grill was very tasty. Everything was FRESH!! Restaurant was brightly lit and the decor wad tasteful without being over the top. At every restaurant I dine at I wash !y hands bother before I eat and after. Went today to the King buffet on hospitality. Once again, the food was cold, raw, gross. the spaghetti for the lo mein, tasted like they were spoiled and then cooked. We ordered drinks, and had to keep trying to find someone to refill our drinks. got a nasty attitude when trying to notify them of these issues. We do have knowledge of what guidelines need to be followed on food health and safety. BIG health problem, besides food, still raw, tables were being washed with a dirty cloth, because we wiped the table off after they had "cleaned" it and it came off very dirty. Since they re-opened since Covid, we have gone several times in hopes that it would be better each time. But today was the worst. big chicken that looked cooked on the outside , but when we bit into it, it was not cooked all the way. this for some reason has a A rating, not sure how, unless they clean up and do good before an inspection. For their ice cream, you scoop out of big containers. THE SCOOPS ARE BEING CROS CONTAMINATED because they do not have any water to even rinse the scoops off before dipping it in a different ice cream. Saw no problems with the sushi section. that was about the best section. But they do not even deserve one star. when you give an establishment quite a few times(and i am talking going almost every week) and it does not get better, something is wrong. But the rudeness of the server and hostess, was absolutely horrid. they need to learn how to speak with customers that are paying their paycheck. read more

Grand opening not long ago and the food is fresh and the location looks very clean. A bit more selection than Hiro Japanese Buffet but better location for me as I live up north. The price is great too, there is no AYCE hot pot but the buffet's selection is great for the price. If you're bringing a senior person, be sure to let them know so they can get 10% off of the buffet menu. The food is excellent and there is SO much to choose from. There's a sushi bar along w a salad bar to choose from. The salad bar has a lot of fruit as well. Then there's dessert with a chocolate fountain to enjoy. It has different rooms with plenty of seating. I met a man from Conifer that goes there every week to eat. This buffet is amazing! Endless options in food~ Delicious food, fresh and well displayed. Everything from all kinds of salad makings, fresh fruit, several different kinds of fish, shellfish, ribs, egg rolls, spring rolls, you name it! Their dessert selection was delicious, as well. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who showed us to our table. The wait staff was fast and not intrusive. The restaurant itself was very clean, even the vents overhead were clean! This place is literally a breeding ground for COVID-19. There were TONS of people in the entry way with a number, waiting for a table. So many people that it was hard to get through!! Once seated, it was a free for all for food. Some guests weren't wearing gloves at the buffet as they were constantly running out. There were no directions for which way to walk, so people were bumping into each other while trying to get food. There were signs that a staff member would be serving food, but that was definitely not happening, what so ever. They weren't even seating people 6 feet apart. On top of that, the food wasn't good. A terrible restaurant. My family and I recently went to King Buffet, excited for some good Chinese food. However, we will not be coming back. The customer service was extremely poor. An employee yelled at us from the beginning to seat us and to take our drink orders. The food station was unorganized and did not meet their own communicated COVID protocol. Employees continually looked over our shoulders with notepads, writing down our food selections. Once we got our ticket we were charged for an extra drink that we did not order. Additionally, the restrooms were filthy. They were super packed and out of supplies. After I informed an employee about it, he responded with, "so...?" I then asked him if he could refill the supplies. The food itself was ok. But the customer service and human element is unacceptable. This buffet has some really good food. I was kind of disappointed that they had no melted butter or crab legs but my family and I enjoyed our dinner here. It was so packed with people waiting for their numbers to be called to be seated. Took another 40 minutes for us to be seated. The place is clean and nice inside. A friend recommended King Buffet. I don't know why he thought I would like it. It's a very old and worn establishment. The atmosphere is not conducive to a nice lunch or dinner spot. It's a spot to take your unruly and screaming children. The floor was sticky and dirty. There were piles of food on the buffet and it was refreshed often. Just none of the items I tried were good. Even the dessert offerings were bad. And the ice cream was not creamy like soft serve, it was like ice milk and the machine was old and leaky. It's a shame really. I could tell the employees were working really hard as when I went it was fairly busy. They have a hibachi bar which was fun, I did notice that they used spaghetti noodles for there lo mein and the crab Rangoons were not very good which was was disappointing. Wow what a disappointment! The place is massive with seating and an abundance of dishes to scoop. Besides the peel and eat shrimp, nothing was appetizing. The crab wontons were the worst I've have every had. The bbq pork had no flavor and consisted of a shoe leather texture. The sushi was edible, if you held you nostrils shut. The oil used to fry food had a nasty taste. Every fried item remained on the plate to be returned to the garbage, where it belonged. The staff did a great job carrying away our heavy plates littered with the inedible food. Two of the dishes were so foul, the food was quickly expelled from my mouth. The salted shrimp could not even be peeled as it was mush. The rice noodles were awful. How can a Chinese restaurant ruin rice noodles? The bright side: the hot & sour soup was a 5 out of 10. This place is pretty dang delicious! My favorite dish so far is the Thai Chicken, but I've heard the Jalapeño Chicken is really good too! A few things I didn't care for were the Beef & Broccoli, the spring rolls and egg rolls, and the Cheese Mussels. High-five to you if you're able to eat more than 2 plates of food here. I'm wondering if they load up with MSG or something because after one plate of food (and their plates aren't huge), I am miserably stuffed. I'm lucky to get a bowl of Egg Drop Soup down after my usual plate of noodles and proteins. I haven't tried the Mongolian grill area they have, or their sushi, or their salad bar, or even their desserts. Price is about $17 per person, and last night (Friday night) we had a 15 minute wait for 2. Know that there is a 2-hour maximum stay here so don't plan on growing roots and grazing. It can be a bit noisy, but you should be able to hear your own table. Service was quick and polite.
