I originally went there to just replace my remote start security system for my '04 Subaru WRX. Mo was a very nice guy. I e-mailed him before hand asking when he was available and gave me a quote on how much it was to replace/install. I called him the following day and he was very flexible told me i could come in that day. I drove there and had it installed in approximately 2 hours. Taught me how to use the remote and even installed the antennae and security LED where I wanted! (i wanted them in discreet locations). After I was about to leave, I was like "what the hell, why don't i pick of a set of subs and an amp". So I did :D Long story short, this guy is good and knows what he is doing. I can call Moe up, stop by the same day, and get anything taken care of (usually even faster than he estimates). He always has what I need in stock too instead of ordering it and waiting. Our new (used) car turned out to have a hard-to-solve wiring problem, due to what we believe were rodents who somehow got in and gnawed on a few key components. The end result was that the tail lights wouldn't work, and replacing the fuse didn't help. Our regular mechanic couldn't fix the issue easily, so he referred us to King. After going to all the usual suspects to install aftermarket LED fog lights I purchased on my own, everyone refused to do the job because they were concerned with liability if they did not install it properly. A representative from PC Richards and son highly recommended King Car Audio, and I have to say there was absolutely no hesitation to work on my vehicle the owner even boasted that his installation skills would have me come back in the future. I have to agree 100 percent I have several vehicles and the professionalism courtesy and skill level leave me with a peace of mind that all my future installations will be done with care and skill. At the recommendation of my car dealership, I took my 2008 Toyota Highlander to a big box electronics store to replace the auto's factory radio/CD/navigation system. $1,100 at big box vs around 4K at the dealer. The device never worked consistently correctly after the big box installation and after a number of attempts to diagnose the issue, which included replacing the unit. Still no luck. I had KCA replace the unit with the Alpine brand. They must have solved a wiring issue because now everything works! Steering wheel controls, radio, back-up camera, etc. now in full operation. And I love the intuitive functionality and sound quality of the Alpine device. The KCA folks were pleasant to work with and very attentive. To their credit, big box refunded the cost of the unit I purchased there. Very happy! read more

Very disappointed with King Car Audio. Bought a new radio unit and four speakers for my son's car for Christmas. Mo Sr. and Mo Jr. were kind and polite and completed the installation in one day. However, Mo Sr. wrote out his estimate on a scrap piece of paper. And he could only show me the box for the radio and the speakers, not the actual units. I should have left then. So much of this negative review is on my shoulders for going ahead and doing business with him. He then says he is going to give me a big discount of $85 when he's already charging me $45 more for the same radio that is at Best Buy and who knows how much more he charged me for the speakers. Standard silly sales stuff but it bugs me. I let it slide, trying to use local business over big chain store. Then, when I pick up my car, I can't control the volume of the new radio from the steering wheel button, a function he specifically asked if I wanted and that I told him I did indeed want. He even charged me twenty dollars for the adaptor unit required to make the connection. When I called him on it, he said it would cost $175 but he would give me a good deal and only charge me $125! What a rip off! He denies that he agreed to connecting the steering. I would recommend not using this place. Unfortunately, they are not trustworthy. read more

I walked into this store on Wednesday and after going through the things I was looking for we had an appointment set up immediately and they promised my Jeep would all be done that day. Now I've heard this before to get someone's business, only to get the call the after off the install to say "something took longer then expected and we won't be done." Not these guys! I was expecting to pick my Jeep up at 6 and got a call at 5 that it was done. Head unit, all new speakers, sub, backup camera (with custom bracket). All done- on time and done GREAT! I made the mistake of having them install a few things here because they were the only local shop that was willing to install my glow gauges. Since it was already there for this, I also had my crimestopper alarm installed there. They damaged my speedometer so the needle wouldn't go to so 0mph anymore and got stuck at 20mph until you sped up past that and then it would jump to the right spot. My alarm was installed and I think was a used unit as I never was given the box. I went in once because the battery died in my remote, they were out of them but the owner sent me over to radioshack, but when it needed to be reprogrammed his father told me i damaged it changing the battery and wanted to charge me for a new one. Then one day set the alarm off at work and the remote died, but somehow despite the alarm having a vehicle immobilizer "installed" i was able to drive it home to get the spare remote and disable it. The wiring was terrible and the alarm box fell out from under the dash at an intersection jamming under my brake pedal. Luckily no one was at it and i had to run the stop sign and reach down to dislodge it. The system also was not timed right so I couldn't use the remote start as it would just try to start, stall and then you would hear the starter straining until you shut it off. When I went back to them they argued with me that it had been a few years and it wasn't their problem so i had to contact crimestopper with the serial numbers on the box. When i told them i never received a box, they argued with me that all customers receive boxes and thats when i promised myself to never give them anymore business. If ever looking for quality installs, go to audiotronics. Guys there are super honest and their work is 1000x cleaner. Even when i haven't bought anything they have still spoken to about how to go about a project. NEVER SPEND MONEY AT KING CAR AUDI. You will regret it read more

Horrible customer service. Went in to get quoted on getting a GPS installed into a Rogue and was met with the owner. For the first 2 minutes of the conversation he was more concerned about looking at his phone then even making eye contact with me. Pretty sure he didn't even listen to what I had to say in the beginning. After showing him all the necessary parts I had he told me that I didn't have everything...mind you that I'm very familiar with these installations but this was my girlfriend's mothers car and I didn't have the time to install it myself and she said she was willing to pay so I took it to them to get a quick quote and I knew I had everything needed for the install. I had the steering wheel control module included with my parts and he told me that he would need a special computer to program it?? While it says on the box itself it programs itself to the car's computer once installed...Then he told me that it would cost $425 but he would give me a deal for $350, but then proceeds to grab a calculator and type in the number 350 and click enter...no calculations done there. After showing him my sound system in my car I think he knew that I wasn't someone he could bullshit and I was familiar with this type of work so he stopped talking as much but when he said I was missing a part for my backup cam which when I told him is a stepdown voltage regulator which was included he had no clue what the hell that meant. Would never go back there and wouldn't recommend anyone going there. Can't wait to see what the owner's son replies to this. Just take a look at his profile picture. UPDATE: took it to another shop in New York and they did the whole job in a little over an hour and there price was no where near Kings Audio. I have a 2009 Nissan Rouge and I am a college student. I am not able to afford a new car and wouldn't want one anyway. A few months ago my AUX cord broke and to fix it I would need to get my entire radio changed. I was worried it was going to be a lot of money and take a long time. I went to my dealership and they sent me here. Within 30-45 mins I had a completely new radio with Apple Play, AUX cord, and a USB outlet. I am so happy and it was around $500. On November 29, 2017 I brought my Subaru Forester to change the radio head unit. First, we negotiate about the price. The owner quoted me for $175.00, then I ask for $100.00 and he agreed. After the job was done I was charged for $125.00 plus tax. Of course I complain. He told me what about the harness? I said, my radio accessories was complete when I bought it on eBay. So in a short story after a long argument I accepted his charged even though it is against my will. So when I took my car, the radio was not centered and the front speakers were not working. So I went back to the store again and made another complained. What they did was, they took back my car in the shop and look at it, then called me. They said, we can't do anything because it is what it is and your speakers are blown out. I said you should do something on the radio to make me please because that's what I paid for. So the owner took me back to the store and said I'm sorry we can't do anything I have plenty of bills to pay. Paying the rent of this store and he brag that he lives in New Canaan. I know, New Canaan community is expensive. By the way what does it mean? Does it suggest he is asking for more money to fix the problem? I told him why did you accept the job if you don't know, I don't care where do you live. What matters to me is that, I am paying you to do the job as we agreed. Then I said I am not happy. And I left. Upon arriving home I shop around until I've found Best Buy Professional audio installer with lower price that cost $64.00 /pair to install my blown speakers as they said even though it's not. I decided to change it for upgrading reason since my car is 1998 model. Finally decision is...I will never...never..never visit King Car Audio again just to avoid being victimized. It was a bad experienced for audio. The Pakistani or whatever his nationality is, he is crook and big liar. I don't trust. Be careful to this shop! read more

King just installed a Pioneer In-Dash Navigation AV Receiver in my 2012 Subaru. I shopped carefully and was looking for a local installer who could help me understand the options and do the work cleanly. We negotiated a bit, but at the end of the day their pricing was fair and the work was done cleanly. The initial placement of my XM antenna gave me spotty reception, but they moved the antenna with no questions asked and all is good. Car electronics are a bit of a commodity, but I would not trust going to a big box house to do this kind of "custom" work. It was very hard to find reviews or recommendations for installers, so am making sure to post this here so other customers can have the information. read more

I own a vintage Rolls Royce in mint condition with its original speakers that I had to replace.. Needless to say I was quite concerned not only with the selection of new speakers but with the skills needed to remove and replacement the leather door panels without damage. Was looking to replace my OEM radio for my daily BMW an oldie but goodie. Found King Car Audio. Requested a quote and received a reply via Yelp Messenger same day! Was away on business and when I got back into town brought the car in at open of business day. Mo looked the car over gave me the updated quote for the install being I had everything already and had it done within 3 hours same day! He even replaced side OEM markers I had already and fixed cigarette lighter port and installed custom USB dual port in replacement of the lighter (who smokes anyways right?) the custom install also included a rear backup camera. Mo and the guys really took care of my car and even drove it back to my house all the way from CT!
