I use door dash to get my food delivered. The food was good just what the family wanted. My son said the teriyaki chicken with chicken fried rice was really amazing. The wife had the beef with broccoli and there was Shrimp fried rice. She said it was exactly what she was craving. I had the General Tso's chicken and it was pretty good. When you open the pork fried rice container that is barely containing the contents you first notice that there is many good size pieces of pork alongside the fresh-looking green peas, orange carrots, and semi-transparent onions cooked to perfection. Despite all the negative reviews, I actually think this place is great for takeout! And I'm not even used to this style of Chinese food. First of all... this is New York style Chinese food. I'm from HI, so when I first had food from here I was like ok what?! The rice is different. Everything comes in those little boxes. It is definitely a lot greasier than what I'm used to as well. Now I haven't been to NY, but my husband is from the area, so he thinks this is the best Chinese food around. While we were in HI, he was like yuck.. what is this crap?! Anyway, once I got past the regional differences, it is what it is. We order from here every so often and some of our usuals are: Vegetable lo mein Fried chicken w/ pork fried rice Crab Rangoons Kung pow chicken Chicken and broccoli Fried shrimp Egg rolls For what Goldsboro has to offer, I like this place the best. Is it the best Chinese food? Idk! Taste is subjective. The people are nice. You can order online. They deliver. It isn't overpriced. And to me, it tastes good when I'm in the mood for takeout Chinese. I guess the downside would be that the breaded chicken choices i.e. the sesame chicken, orange chicken, etc. are breaded weirdly. The breading is completely separate from the meat once you bite into it lol... so the texture is odd, and that could be what makes it soggy. Idk. This place is gross. The food is cooked so that they can label it whatever they want (basically its all slopped together and given different names). You'll have better luck dumpster diving than eating here. Stay away! read more

The food was very good, I had honey chicken and egg foo young. Visiting from out of state so I'm very skeptical trying new places but I'm glad I did. The lady who took my order was very pleasant. Repeat customer x4! The food at King Chef is great. I ordered the Sweet & Sour Chicken and the Sesame Chicken with white rice. I also had the Crab Ragoon appetizer. I got exactly what I ordered with no errors. It was delivered hot and in a timely manner (less than 20mins after phone order placed). Food was delivered with no issues, paid with credit card over the phone. Will order Chinese food for delivery from King Chef again! read more

Don't listen to their online menu, they don't deliver as far as they say. Took my money and then after 2 hours called and said that if have to wait but they would bring it. Been almost 4 hours called and they have blocked my number. Lost $40 to them tonight. Be sure to tell all my military coworkers and don't expect any more business from Seymour Johnson. read more

For a Chinese Takeout restaurant the food is decent, the price ex: 7.25 for Gen Tso Combo is pretty standard as far as these types as the venue type goes, as well as the customer service. The restaurant was clean. I couldn't give it 5 stars because they only put 2 napkins in my takeout bag, and the Gen Tso was not up to some of my other experiences, but still decent. read more

Not my favorite in Goldsboro. Ingredients are not very fresh. The beef is absolutely disgusting and they have what smells like ketchup as a base in some of the sauces. I won't eat here again and don't recommend the food to anyone. The service is prompt, polite and courteous. I just wish the food was better. What a disappointment. read more

Had it for the first time tonight. Took an hour and 15 minutes to deliver. The shrimp Lo Mein was good, the shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was waaaay overlooked and mushy. I think I will stick to China Star on Wayne Memorial Drive. read more

Ordered from here through "bringmethat.com." terrible experience. After waiting an hour for food, you expect the food to be great and hot.... not this time. Food was cold. Ordered two combo platters. One did not have fried rice. The other did not get an egg roll. Fried rice was hard and did not have flavor even drowned in soy sauce. Sweet and sour chicken was hard and pretty dry. When ordering a 2-liter there were no options to let you know what they have. So under special instructions I typed "Dr.Pepper or rootbeer please." Order was confirmed through email. I recieved Coke instead. When I contacted the "bringmethat" support person, they were not concerned with any of this at all. Started they sent an email about the drink, nothing stated about it so I forwarded my email to them. They replied with "okay." We just wanted the food we were paying for. Will never order from this restaurant or delivery company again. read more
