Build Your Own Regular Poke Bowl

Picking up a takeout order from King Fish is a cinch. You can order through Yelp and they have a parking spot for takeout orders right in front of the restaurant. I built my own poke bowl with a variety of fresh ingredients and ahi tuna and spicy tuna as my protein. I loved it. The bowl was packed with flavor. It was a great portion and very appropriately priced. The staff were very friendly when I picked my order up. I could eat here every night!

Such a surprising find. I was meeting up with a friend and we were trying to find a convenient and healthy option. So glad I remembered king fish. I had been meaning to come and check it out for awhile. I love that it's super close and convenient to the university. They have a super clean and cozy spot in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The folks working were also really patient and welcoming. It was also a pretty solid price for the amount of food I got. Probably would have sized up since I just came back from a run. I inhaled the regular size immediately. Definitely recommend a visit for some nice quality poke! So glad we have a spot here in Charlotte!

As tired and just looking for some solid healthy food and this popped up. Lovely family owned restaurant in a strip mall. Very bright. Order at the counter and they fix it as you walk through. Very friendly service and delicious poke bowl. They have build your own or choose an option. I love the fact that the kids were there doing homework in the back. Ate there as there are plenty of well spaced tables but it would appear the vast majority is carry out as delivery was hopping.

The best Poke Bowls! I enjoy making my own and it has never gone wrong. The service is amazing. They remember me and my orders from the past. I was in there almost everyday. It's a nice little quaint place to eat and have time for yourself and not have to feel disturbed. I would recommend anyone coming through and wanting a poke bowl to stop in at Kingfish.

The Aesthetic: I love the quick counter service, no frills vibe. The highlight here is the fresh food. The Price: It's pretty average for a poke spot in CLT, I never walk out of here without spending about $16 - $18 on myself. The Value: The bowls are loaded to the brim. The fish and all the extras are piled high on top of a decent amount of rice. I typically get two servings out of one bowl. The Parking: It's sparse right in front, but I never have too much trouble finding a spot nearby. My Order: I'm into the poke with brown rice, tuna and salmon, sweet onion, edamame, carrots, avocado, green onion, extra kingfish classic/eel sauce, all the crispy's, and sesame seeds. The Conclusion: Do not miss this place if you love poke, it's way too yummy. Opt for the extra sauce!

On my latest business trip to Charlotte I decided to give this place a try. Place is very clean and there were lots of options to add to my poke bowl. The flavors were there but it would have been nice if the cucumbers had been chopped smaller so you are able to incorporate it into your bite with the other ingredients. Also would have been nice to have the soy sauce readily available instead of having to go back up to the counter and ask for it. Other than those two minor items this place serves up some great poke!

I joined my coworkers here for lunch one day. I didn't know what to expect as they had visited before. I went with the Salad Bowl with Spicy Tuna and shrimp. The workers moved at a slower pace than I expected. It was a steady flow of customers being that it was lunch time. There's tables available inside but we chose to eat elsewhere. There's pictures of their food on the walls. The ambiance is pretty basic, nothing too creative. I wish their protein options were warm. I didn't care for my meal so I wouldn't revisit.

Worst Poké bowl I've ever had. Inside was completely empty and I still felt rush when placing my order. Not much to say but the flavors didn't work well together and the shrimp was weird. I'm not a fan of sushi and I don't feel like I had many options here. King Fish Poké 350 E McCullough Dr Ste 110 Charlotte, NC 28262 (Review 530 overall, 74 in 2021)

First time and loved it! Got the sushi burrito my coworker got a bowl. Both were delicious. Burrito a little messy but ate every bite. Clean inside, quick service, very friendly. Will be back!

I was skeptical, but this place is the jam. The food is very tasty. It's all about your mix. I did a shrimp and crab bowl. I'll be back.

Whewww this place was so yummy, located in Charlotte close to UNC!! I didnt know what to expect but this place was so yummy. Customer service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. All the food was so fresh and good, they give you alot of food for the dollar. If you dont know what to order, just ask, they will explain everything to you. It was our first time visiting, but wont be our last! This is now my favorite poke place to go for fresh bowls! Great find on Yelp, so thank you for your good recommendations.

Love the build your own poke bowl option, with sushi rice and all the toppings in the world! I also love the King Fish classic sauce + sriracha aioli. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed, highly recommend trying it out! Parking can be tricky on weekends but it's well worth it.

Checks all the boxes for a quality poke joint, with all of the standard mix-ins and toppings, plus a couple I rarely see (e.g., purple cabbage). I particularly like that they cook the shrimp sous-vide; this pairs nicely with the ahi and the spicy Korean sauce. Service is very friendly, and the place is ultra-clean (I have particularly high standards for the latter when it comes to poke). Pricing is pretty standard; my two-protein bowl was ~$9, plus an up-charge for seaweed salad. I'll make a point to returning the next time I drive through Charlotte...

The restaurant is stylish, modern, and surprisingly chic , with a great location that makes it easy to add to an evening out. As first-time guests, we especially appreciated our server, who patiently walked us through the process and made sure there were no surprises. The explanation about the charge for uneaten all-you-can-eat sushi that guests want to take home was particularly helpful. Knowing the rules upfront makes all the difference and sets the right expectations from the start. The food was excellent. We worked our way through several rolls , sampled dumplings , and didn't find a miss among them. My Lycheetini was delicious, and after tasting a couple of sakes , I ended up buying a bottle to take home. Zero regrets there. Parking requires a little planning, with a paid lot nearby unless you're fortunate enough to snag a street spot right in front. Overall, I'd happily return and enjoy the entire experience all over again.

I would skip their fried rolls since you can barely taste the actual sushi. Their classic rolls and specificities are good though! The octopus honestly wasn't fully my type flavor-wise because of the seasoning, but it was cooked extremely well -- probably the most tender octopus I've ever had. Great location in south end near the light rail. We had a reservation for 6:30 and were seated promptly. The restaurant is gorgeous! I was in amazement walking to my seat. The host was about to sit us at a table, but we requested a booth and were accommodated. Our server was very nice and thoroughly explained the menu. We started off with the empanadas and I ordered my first virgin "pinny yolada" :). The empanadas were mind blowing! They were nice and hot, flavorful, and absolutely a delight! We were so impressed, we decided to order the double fried wings afterwards. The wings were good and had an interested flavor with the tamarind. After the wonderful appetizers, it was time for the entrees. I ordered the short rib yuca gnocchi and my friend the arroz con pollo. On paper the gnocchi sounded sublime, but in actuality it was lacking a lot. The entire dish lacked so much flavor, even with hot sauce, additional salt, and lime it tasted bland. I was very disappointed. The empanadas and service were a saving grace, I ordered two orders of empanadas to go for my family. However they were so expensive. I paid $14 for 3. Even though I loved the empanadas, I probably would not be back.

We arrived at 5:17 p.m., were greeted immediately, and seated right away. When I opened my menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see "Happy Birthday" printed across the top. Another thoughtful detail that made the evening feel special. Since we arrived early, the atmosphere was quiet, intimate, and honestly very romantic. We could actually hear each other talk without raising our voices. The lighting was perfectly dim--creating a cozy ambiance without making it difficult to see the menu. The service was equally enjoyable. Our waiter and waitress were attentive, friendly, and never overbearing, allowing us to enjoy our meal at a relaxed pace. As for the food, it was every bit as good as I remembered. The quality hasn't changed at all--fresh, beautifully prepared sushi with consistently excellent flavors. That's exactly why I keep coming back to O-Ku. You can always count on them for outstanding food, attentive service, and an overall dining experience that never disappoints.
