This way the estimator see's what is in the attic and what isn't as well as what or how much insulation you need. If you would like to set up a date please call our office and set up an appointment. These are free. Thank you, King Insulation" My response: "Gary, I wasn't asking about my attic. I was asking about my garage door. Thank you for your delayed and incorrect response, but I no longer need this service." As a business, it's important to respond within 24 hours if possible, but most importantly...read what the customer is asking for, so you can reply with a correct response. By the time Gary responded, I had already hired another company on July 13, to come in and do this job on July 14 and they have already installed the insulation. read more

Did some research and received three different quotes from insulation company's on yelp. The quotes ranged from 4k to $1500 to re-install the old insulation in our attic (suspended from rafters), install new insulation on knee walls, and add blown insulation to entire attic 2500 sqft home. King Insulation was by far the least expensive (about 1/2) the price of the other quotes. All quotes ware very specific so at the end of the day i was getting the same thing for 1/2 price. I did inspect the attic after the job was complete and they did a very good job! I would hire these guys again and if your looking for a company to update your attic insulation give them a call!! King Insulation came to my property and took a look at my attic, where I already knew we had some issues. The bid came back higher than I would have liked, but they itemized it all out and included other items that the energy audit company hadn't even thought of. Things like barriers for the recessed lighting and the speakers were added on to the bid, and the estimator took the time to explain what it all was for and why I needed it. On the night before the job they called to confirm the appointment which I appreciated. The job was completed in one day and they did a good job of cleaning up. They broke a shelf in the closet while getting in and out of the attic, which I noticed during the day while they were working. Based on the quality of their work I thought they would fix it prior to leaving, but later found it propped up against the wall after they left. I thought they would have at least informed me, but this is really my only complaint. The only other suggestion I would make is that they somehow verify that they did the job either with a photo or something similar. read more

We hired King insulation to blow insulation into a ceiling and an exterior wall in a garage area that my husband wanted to use as his work shop. They were the only company in town who would agree to do this work. All other companies said that they could not do existing walls. We found this quite surprising since this was a common practice in our previous city. I called King and they scheduled an appointment for an estimate. The estimator call before he came to confirm the work that we were going to do. The front office called back to reconfirm the appointment. Their estimate was reasonable for the amount of work that we were having done. The installation crew arrived and completed the work on time. They were very neat. They cleaned up thoroughly before leaving. We are extremely pleased with the final product. I called King insulation this morning for a free estimate of the new house I just bought. Gary answered and scheduled me right away for Luis to come and take a look. Luis even called and arranged to come earlier than expected . He was very informative and up beat. My house is really old and there actually is not a lot he could do to help us with insulation, but he was honest and told us that right away. He also made some suggestions that we can do ourselves. Ty came out and was very knowledgeable about what should help with cooling the house. After scheduling insulation appt, workers arrived just before schedule and were able to get right to work. It's unfortunate when a contractor isn't able to follow through with their scheduling promise... Although, it's not always about what happens but how King reacted after their mistake... I received my free estimate from the salesman and scheduled the work for next day. All real sales pitch to help me pull the trigger same day. Salesman accidentally wrote my # down wrong on the quote which turned into their scheduling department not being very proactive. Instead of checking other avenues within the company (as they called me for the original appointment for estimate) they chose to send an email to my personal account in the afternoon. I received the email at 4pm that day and called to speak with the person. No one could help me besides her and she was gone for the day... At this point, i still didn't know what the purpose of the email was and why they wanted me to call the office. 7:30am comes the next day (day planned around the scheduled appointment) and King calls to advise my appointment was canceled..... b/c I didn't confirm? Interesting as i made the appointment about 24 hours prior and the salesman called to confirm it while at my house. Either way, They made no attempt to help correct their mistake or even apologize for the inconvenience of the situation. Salesman didn't return call when i reached out to him regarding the situation more than a "i'll call the office." The good this is I shopped the quote and got a better price for their "add ons" from a competitor. I would of never shopped the bid with a little bit of customer service from King but the lack of any apology or overall care for my inconvenience forced me to look elsewhere. My electric bill is very high so I called for an inspection of the insulation. Luis came out was very professional and nice. His honestly was impressive. Many companies will try to get as much money out of you as possible. He told me we don't need any more insulation but gave me some awesome tips of what my electrical issue might be and how I could help reduce my electric bill. I had an appointment simply for an estimate for foam insulation. Exceptionally rude and dry estimator. Walks into my home and before I say a word he sarcastically asks, "What are your concerns?" Writing this, I cannot fully convey how offensive the tone of voice. I show this person around my home and say very little. Upon leaving he walks out the door and comments on the state of my remodel project by saying, "Congratulations on your rehab." Perhaps he thought he was funny but his personality was very disingenuous and rude. My response was to let him know he didn't need to send me the estimate. Very poor people skills. read more

I had this company remove insulation so that my house could be rewired. One of their employees smoked right outside my back door with the door open. My house smelled like smoke and there were cigarette butts left on my property. I called and complained and the person on the phone apologized but did not offer any solution to the matter, my house still smelled like smoke for a while and I had to clean up the cigarette butts. Gross and disrespectful. Would not hire again. UPDATE I've decided to update because of the owner's response. Implying that I'm lying and making it my responsibility to prove myself is quite frankly insulting and disrespectful. That disrespect seems to permeate this company. I used King Insulation to do a spray in insulation in my attic. It was very much needed per my home inspection. A guy came out to quote me and basically went through just about everything in my home that could cause cool air/heat loss. I learned a lot from the gentleman and was very happy with what i had learned and what he said was done correct in the home. I scheduled service about a week out in advance and they showed up on time and were done in about 1.5 hours. The first thing they do when they back there truck in your driveway is tape a piece of plastic down to back over it in case there is a drop of oil! Now that's consideration! I had King Insulation come out for an estimate on new insulation on my old attic. Steve was incredibly helpful, informative and polite. He suggested I do an energy audit and referred me to another great company - AZ New Image. Long story short I ended up getting a packaged deal on new insulation, duct sealing, air sealing, new A/C duct work and upgraded energy-efficient canned lights. Throughout the whole process they worked with me and answered all my questions, no matter how many phone calls it took. Not only did they literally work around our holiday schedule - blowing in the insulation on New Year's Day - but they even submitted the SRP rebates for me, which I received about a week later. As great as that experience was, King Insulation just re-blew the insulation for me over a patio ceiling that had collapsed due to previous (unknown) water damage. No hassles, no negotiating or trying to get extra money from me. They recognized the unfortunate accident and helped me out when I really needed to catch a break. On top of all that they were able to come out and do the work on the same day that I called. That's probably not typical so I know I got lucky, but it was great to be able to call and get immediate response and results. I have a small (1,000 sf) rental house in Phoenix. The last APS bill I got was over $300! I thought that maybe I could benefit from additional insulation, so I called King. The installer came out and was very honest with me. He said I already had R30 in the attic, so I wouldn't really benefit from extra insulation. However, he did tell me what was really wrong with the house, which wasn't work that they do. He didn't charge for the visit and was extremely helpful. I want to give King some business, so I am going to have them look at my other two houses to see if I can use their help with them. I read lots of reviews, but I don't write many. I asked for a quote through Yelp for blown in cellulose. Someone reached out to me same day and I scheduled an appointment for a free quote. The guys that came out, Lance and another guy, were super cool. They listened to my concerns, checked out the house and even addressed some small things that I didn't realize were causing some problems. I got quotes from 3 other companies and these guys had the best price and we're doing more work than the others. On the day of install, workers showed up early (awesome in my book!) they were friendly, & kept work area clean. Upon completion they asked me to take a look (awesome perk- that way you KNOW what's been done) and they also made sure the cleanliness of the area met my expectations. Office staff is also great. As part of an energy audit performed by Convenient Home Services, Chris, came to our house and did a very thorough inspection, even measuring the house for himself to get the square footage. He sent another representative, Lance, from King Insulation, to give us an estimate for the insulation installation. They did not insulate the whole house, as was indicated in the extensive audit. Now they are threatening a lawsuit. Yes, they are very courteous, but they can't be trusted. Guess we'll see them in court. read more

We needed some insulation in the attic so I called king out after reading the reviews. Lance arrived exactly on time and made quick work of the inspection. I had some concerns about the knee wall insulation in the attic and also the garage, so he said they would address that as well as blow in r40 insulation in the rest of the attic for the minimum price (small house). The guy's showed up an hour early which was great, installed plastic to protect the floor and furniture, did a great job and invited me to take a look when they were finished ( did a great job insulation was very thin up there). Someone showed up the day after I called to take a look at what I needed to get done. He priced out a quote which was way lower than I expected and I had a crew at my house within a few days to get the job done. The job only took about 4 hours and the crew was very nice and answered all my questions. If you have high energy bills during the summer months I recommend getting your insulation checked out because I have already seen a huge difference this summer compared to last which was our first summer in our new house. Our home is approximately 13 years old and over the past several years we notice our utility bills getting significantly higher each year. We knew we had to make some improvements to help bring the bills down. We ended up doing a home energy audit and found out our current insulation was not near the recommend standards. We received a quote for the insulation from the company that did the home energy audit and it seemed on the higher side. A friend of mine who used King Insulation in 2015 and was very happy with them suggested I get a quote from them. I called to set-up an appointment and 2 days later Steve Grant from King Insulation came out to inspect the insulation and gave us a quote on the same day. Steve was very knowledgeable and also offered some other energy saving suggestions for our home to help with our utility bills. The quote from King was significantly less than the other company. We booked the appointment and a few days later the 2-man crew came out. They had the job completed in about 5-hours. The install crew was very friendly and did a nice job cleaning up after they had finished. I would highly recommend this company for insulation work. The sales process with John Peterson went quite well & we thought the price was quite fair. The day of installation was when things began going wrong. First there was only 1 (0ne) gentleman showing up to do the installation & he did not speak English; we don't speak Spanish. Second, he did not bring the right size batting to fit the job & had to go back to get the right size. Third, he did not bring the cap sheeting designed & quoted in the job & we could not communicate with him. I had to keep calling the office & have Teresa call him to communicate with him as to what he was to do. Fourth, he did not understand how to install the cap sheeting & asked me. Again, I had to call the office to explain how the installation was to proceed. Fifth, the installer was so uncomfortable that he simply left our house without even letting us know he was finished & received our approval. Sixth, I had to call John Peterson & request that he come by our house at his convenience and check the installation to be certain it was done as we had discussed & agreed. John did so & all appears fine. To be clear; the installer was quite a nice gentleman, trying to do a good job. It was not fair to him to send him alone to a job without the proper products, instruction & confirming that he would be able to communicate with the homeowner. The final product appeared fine in the end but required several hours of frustration to be certain it ended well. The office was of course quite quick to let me know the job was not paid for even after being explained that their installer left without any notice. We had to go out & find our garage door wide open and the installer was gone. Good final product; operation & process, not so much. read more

I almost had a great experience with King Insulation. I had read all the great reviews and thought this was the company I needed to go with. I had them come look at my attic because I'm trying to be energy efficient. The guy told me I needed insulation and I also needed a complete duct seal and insulate my skylights. I agree because I want to be as energy efficient as possible, even though my price was doubling. I find out after the fact, there are rebates if you make your house energy efficient, 250$ to 500$ worth of rebates! All you need is have an energy audit done. I would have gladly paid the 99$ for the audit to get the rebates. I'm not made of money, I'm in social work. The company knows about the rebates because I called and asked if I was eligible. I was told I'm no longer eligible because I needed to have the energy audit before the work and now I'm out the money. It is extremely frustrating that you wouldn't share that information with your customers. read more
