I was referred to this company by a realtor friend as we were having issues with our home warranty company fixing a freon leak, and giving us varying opinions on what needed to be done. The owner sent Nick out to come give it a look over and his findings were more in line with what we suspected. We were in the process of trying to get things resolved with the home warranty when guess what...4:30pm on a Friday night when the temp was 114 for the day, the unit totally went out. I texted Nick who was out working all day, and he said he could stop by on his way home from work at 7PM!! He came by, found the fan blade motor had died and spent 2 hours replacing the motor, that late on a Friday night!! I can't tell you how highly I recommend this company. The owner and the technician Nick go out of their way to be helpful. We are finally getting the unit partially replaced through the home warranty, but when we do decide to replace the unit, this is the company we will be using. I have used Kris Adams of Like No Other Air and Heating twice. The first time my mini-split was leaking. Although he hoped it was a minor fix, it turned out it was more complicated. Kris explained everything so I could understand it and actually apologized for the cost of repairing it. At that time he looked at my main unit which was very old and he psuggested just running it until it stopped working. We discussed options at that time and approximate costs. When it stopped working I contact Kris. We again discussed the options. Although the option I selected was more costly he did not try to sell me the most expensive unit. Because of the work that needed to be done by others, there was a short delay. He offered to give me a unit to use but it wasn't necessary. When he picked up the unit, the company did not have the unit he had ordered so they ungraded it at no cost. Kris works with integrity and the best interests of his customers. I contacted Kris about a on going leak I had that for the past 4 months. He came by and went into the attic, then went up on the roof and sealed everything that he could. He then had me spray water on the roof area for quite some time, then went back into the attic to see if there were any leaks, and I'm glad to say that there weren't any! My AC went out and I brought in one of the "big companies" - the "best" quote was for over $2,000 to replace a fan, a switch that had not yet gone bad, and two of their service plans. I sent that guy away. I then remembered hearing a co-worker talk about his HVAC guy - how honest he was, did nothing that was not necessary, good work, etc. It took a few minutes, but I found the contact info and called Kris Adams. I told him the problem, he asked if I wanted it fixed immediately, I did, he came over. He quickly diagnosed the problem, found a replacement part without having to open a parts store, and it was fixed. He charged me exactly what he had quoted, and that was less than one-fourth of what the "big company" charged. He did NOT try to replace the working high voltage switch, nor did he say anything was wrong with it. He did NOT try to sell me a service plan. He did tell me that my units are old and would probably need replacing, but the system he recommended was NOT the top-of-the-line, most expensive unit, but the entry-level two-stage unit that he would have in his home. I take my recommendations from the person who repairs the units, not gets a commission for selling them. Kris is every bit as good as my coworker was bragging and his company is now my only recommendation for HVAC work and he will be replacing my units when they eventually break down. read more
