No wait and was sat in cold area but they were very willing to accommodate. Ordered half price appetizer of breaded shrimp which was very yummy and came with a tasty sauce. We ordered the Platinum Boil which was cooked perfectly. The corn was not mushy like at other places. We had a garlic butter and seasoning. Ordered mild and it was so yummy. It was busy and understaffed. When they brought the food ... we had to ask for silverware and plates, but they quickly provided. Waiter came to the table twice... but we really didn't need anything. In short... FOOD was excellent and nice portions. Service was polite, kind and willing... just understaffed for the night. It is New Year's Day too. We will definitely come back.

I have been to this restaurant so many times in the past year. It's an hour and a half drive from where I live but the food and fast service is sooo worth it. They have the BEST seafood boils I've ever had and I travel a lot and tried so many boils so this is a big thing for me to say. I love the low country boil and they give you so much food for a great price! You can even ask for a side of the ocean juicy sauce to dip everything in. You must try this place!!

This place may not look appealing on the outside but it was a nice surprise walking in! The decoration was nice and the service was friendly and great. We ordered calamari, seafood udon, ocean trifecta basket, shrimp basket, catfish po boy, philadelphia roll, and kani and cream cheese roll. I've had better calamari since I thought it was chewy but still edible. Everything else tasted freshly made! The sushi was a bit heavy on the cream cheese, but we enjoyed it. Definitely recommend dropping by for an affordable and delicious meal!

The oysters weren't good at all. I would not recommend getting them. Usually we finish them all but I was afraid of them not being good for my stomach, they had a strange taste that wasn't good. The rest of the food was great. I had the sushi roll which was huge and delicious. I got 1 lobster tail and the snow crab. Which were both delicious. The miso soup wasn't great but it was on the house for us to try so that was nice of the waitress. I ordered the strawberry milk with boba and it was delicious. The potatoes and corn were great and I got the sauce that was all mixed together I was not disappointed. From the outside be warned it looks a little rough. But the inside is so gorgeous! I loved the ambiance to be honest! My friend got the gumbo and he enjoyed the meal. I'll definitely give this place another shot.

Great place!!! We are traveling and chose this spot for dinner. It was five-ish (early) plenty of seating available. We were greeted immediately when we walked in and showing to a booth. Our waitress was super helpful and asked if it was our first time there, which we said yes, so she proceeded to review the menu in great detail. One side is all of their boils, which is basically different pieces of seafood in a bag along with Corn on the cob and potatoes. And then you pick your type of sauce which we chose garlic butter, and then you pick your spiciness level. There were plenty of options to choose from and she was very careful to point out that using the combinations or specials down the side of the menu really helped save money based on what you wanted to eat. The flipside of the menu is mostly sushi and appetizers. So we opted to go with a couple of sushi rolls, easy ones, California rolls and shrimp tempura roll and we chose the boil bag for $29 that had crab, muscles, shrimp, two corn cobs and two potatoes. It was more than enough food for both of us and we enjoyed it immensely. We did the simple garlic butter sauce with a medium spice level and it was perfect. We had a bib as things can get messy when you are pulling the crab out, what wipes to clean up and it was a perfect meal. The only disappointment is she explained that their liquor license had expired, so we had to settle for ice tea. Apparently they are getting that fixed! They have quite an ice bar so I imagine this is a bit painful for them. If we lived in the area we would be here quite often I can imagine! Prices were very reasonable, for all of the above we paid approximately $45

This place is ridiculously good. We've eaten here several times, including twice with the new ownership. It's great quality and great value. Their seafood boils are to die for. The servers are helpful. And, it has a fun atmosphere. I like how they're prepared for me to be a messy slob.

We drove an hour one-way in the rain just to fulfill our seafood cravings. It was so worth it. We ordered the number one ocean with an extra pound of headless shrimp an extra half a pound of black mussels with the ocean, juicy flavor, medium spicy, low sodium and some pasta, the service was excellent and very engaging our waitress, a lot of energy and was pretty funny. The ambience was bright, cherry and clean. It was overall good experience love coming to this place and will be back again soon.

I tried the Ocean Crab today. We stopped by on our way through town. It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside is a very nice, updated, and clean environment. We tried the catch fish po boy, volcano sushi, popcorn shrimp, and hush puppies. All were very tasty. Highly recommend. The staff super friendly and super attentive. It's a must try! read more

This place is great! The food is fresh and delicious no matter what you get on the menu. You can have a casual meal or a fancy dinner. They did not yet have their liquor license but when they do they have a beautiful bar ( we were told just a week or two we could have a drink). The best thing is the people. As others said, they still don't have a liquor license, and we had paper plates and plastic utensils. The menu was the kind of confusing. The waitress even had to explain it to a few tables. It seemed like everything was a special, but they weren't really a special. Pretty much you choose between fried fish or a boil. Food was fine. We had fried shrimp, crab cakes, and snow crab (garlic butter). Not anything I would go back for. The thing that bothered me the most is how loud the place was. There were very few tables there, I can't imagine how loud it would be if the place was full. It had kind of a cafeteria feel. Overall, eh. read more

The waitress was so friendly! The entire staff came to check on us, this place is new but has very fresh seafood and great craft cocktails! I got a buy one get one mojito during happy hour with fresh raspberries! Which I was surprised to find out is two drinks for the price if one! Really fun and surprising because I wasn't sure what BOGO meant. That was just one if they're happy hour specials, they also have really great pricing for their oysters and crab and the place is really clean and pretty much brand new! The bathrooms are spotless. Great job the ocean crab you were better than I could have anticipated! The half pound of crab was delicious! read more

My favorite restaurant in Lansing. They have an extensive menu that anyone could find something. Their seafood boils are TO DIE FOR. Best mozzarella sticks I've ever had. The drinks are always on point and they fill those bad boys Up with alcohol. Their servers are next level. I feel like they should teach a training course for how to be a perfect restaurant. I tip like 50% every time I come here just bc all of the servers are so great and the food is always amazing. read more

If you're looking for a cajun boil in Lansing, this is your place. We got 1lb shrimp, 1lb snow crab, potatoes and corn in the Ocean Juicy sauce, medium for 3 adults and it was to die for. We can't handle a ton of heat but the medium was the perfect spice level. We also got three of the regular sushi rolls (spicy tuna, spicy salmon and shrimp tempura). Honestly, skip the sushi. It was below average and a let down after the boil but I didn't let that impact the star rating since the boil was so good. read more

OH EMM GEE!! This place was SO GOOD! Seafood was cooked to perfection and the spices! Go with the ocean juicy.. don't even think twice. I went w a hot but could have done extra hot! LOVE Ocean Crab! Eclectic and large menu, hard to choose what to eat. Our meals were hot and large portions. Fried tilapia and catfish had great flavor, breading tasty and not heavily fried. Best french fries I've had in a long time. Gumbo very tasty. Chicken wings were very good. Lots of sauces served with everything. Our server was very helpful and friendly. I have been wanting to try this place for a few months now. I waited for my hubby's bday to spend the money. Four of us went out and it cost $200 with tip, but it was very good. We had the King Crab Lover Platter, Ocean Trifecta, and three sushi rolls. We left full and very happy. The food was fabulous! We will definitely be back. We almost did not go in because there were so few cars in the parking lot at 6:30 (dinner time, right?) Once you get past the drab, less than exciting outside presentation, the inside was very clean and refreshed. Gary was our server. This place is AMAZING!!!! Finally a place in lansing that has REAL seafood!!! Fresh and done to perfection not rubbery at all. Got the ocean platinum and it was all exceptional. Very very reasonable pricing for crab and lobster. And whoever makes the sweet tea, my new BFF! Our server was beyond helpful showing us how to crack open the crab safely. Very pleasant and prompt. Ordered drinks and appetizers then the main meal. Everything was tasty and awesome. If there was one minor complaint, the main course food came out just after the appetizers were delivered. Too fast! Barely had time to drink one beer. The food and portions were delicious! The crab cakes and boils are reasons to come back for sure! Slow down and let people enjoy the sushi and drinks, then upscale another drink! The quality of food is definitely worth the price! read more

During the general COVID-19 lockdowns, the dining room was closed but the drive-up window was active, serving customers who ordered and paid by phone. The manager matched all tips as an added benefit to his staff. Because of the added effort required for the team to serve its clients, I have doubled my usual gratuity and continued to do so throughout the lockdowns. Now that their dining room is fully open, the packed parking lot is evidence that Klavon's is the most popular eatery in Mason. Possibly the nicest server of all time works here, named Elise if I can remember correctly. After hours, my car had a bad oil leak and so I pulled into this restaurant's parking lot. Elise came to wait with me and my friends and help us check my car for over 2 hours to help me feel safe, just out of kindness. This place deserves so much, she deserves so much.
