In a city with few stellar Chinese takeout options, Kings Wok is one of my favorites. They are quick, affordable and typically hot and fresh. I order the house fried rice all of the time. It is packed with meat and veggies and has that wok "smoky" flavor that others often don't. I like their chicken wings, which are cut as drums and flats(my preference) and fried perfectly. I also like their happy family dish. Service is good and they get you in and out quickly. Parking is easy and call ins work well. I usually call in my order and it's ready once I arrive. They also have pretty good lunch specials with nice portion sizes. I would definitely return and recommend giving them a try when you are in the Bocage area. read more

I joined Yelp so I could warn anyone of this place. How in the world does it have a 4 star rating!?!? When we pulled up, the neon sign said "Ing BJ FET" and the "FET" was flashing wildly at us, AS IF to warn us to stay far, far away! I will take some blame for even thinking about going to eat at 9pm, as we went toward the end of service, but I don't think that would have mattered much. Most of the food was inedible. There must have been close to 100 different food choices too. The only thing we could eat (and feel good about) was the egg rolls. My son resorted to getting jello. They had mango flavor and red. The mango jello seemed crunchy (if that's a thing!?!) I mean HOW do you screw up jello?? We will remember this experience forever because it was the worst Chinese food/buffet ever visited. Prior to this, a Buffett in Ft. Meyers held the title. I'm bummed. We are so close to food Mecca NOLA as well. Four of us spent $70 on edible egg rolls, which were pretty tasty. But for $70 bucks, I could have filled a bathtub with egg rolls!! And there you have my first review! Tada!! read more

We are trying out take-out chinese around BR until we find our spot and it was King's Wok turn. I was also looking for Orange chicken which is oddly not on ever menu around town... I called for take out and was a little startled. Once I gave my order, they hung up on me! Didn't ask my name, no price, no ETA. I picked up my order which was for a good price. The portions were quite generous but really lacks in flavor. I was expecting to be asked what spice level I wanted for my entrées when I called but since they didn't, I was expecting at least a little spicy flavor. My order: Orange chicken - nice and crunchy with some orange peels but zero spice Mongolian beef - too many onions, chewy beef and zero spice Dumplings - roasted pork and yummy Veggie fried rice - I actually loved that it wasn't drenched in butter or any type of sauce, it was really good read more

Love this place! I always do takeout when I eat Kings Wok, so placing the phone call for the order is always easy and my order is always correct. It's done fairly quickly, even with my quirks. I'm all about lo mein, but I want it plain. Same with my fried rice; as a vegetarian I don't eat eggs (also just hate the taste) so I order plain fried rice. The mixed vegetables are delicious, and majority broccoli which is fine with me. Definitely try this place out if you get a chance. read more

I'm kinda with Lesia on this one. Not bad, but not great. MY fried rice was mushy. The meat in it was chewy (too chewy). The General's chicken was mushy and there was way too much sauce. I feel I have to mention, because I felt bad for it, the lonely and scrawny single piece of broccoli drowning in a corner. I find it hard to believe that they cooked this up fresh. It was very hot, but mushy. The place over on the corner of Florida and Acadian makes everything fresh. The chicken is crispy even with the sauce. Lot's of crunchy veg too. I would write a review for them, but can't ever find them when I want to check in. One of these days. Until then, just go there or China Star over on Siegen and Burbank. I thought I'd give this a try for a workday lunch. I got my order to go, and I suspect most people do - there is a dining area, but it's on the small side. My lunch special was $6.00, so apparently prices have gone up a bit since previous reviews, but still - $6.00 is not a bad price for a tasty, filling lunch. I went with the cashew chicken and an egg roll. I got plenty of food for my money, and it was good. I'll go there again, and I'd recommend it to others. Fast and friendly service and best Chinese take-out in the city hands down IMO. There lunch combos are a great deal at $4.99. Mandarin chicken is great, a whole breast of chicken sliced over vegies and sauce. Terriyaki sticks are great as well. Schezuan chicken is another favorite. Fried rice, no soy sauce needed. Always great texture and flavorful. The lo-mien is a little different, but if you like celery and onions you might like it. Eggrolls are real good. read more
