From the outside, this place isn't inviting. Parking is tight and the location looks dark. We decided to go inside anyways as we heard about the great tasting coffee. So as many reviewers noted, the coffee is very good. We had a cappuccino and a honey cinnamon latte; both were delicious. However, this is not a place to sit comfortably and visit with friends: metal chairs, sterile atmosphere, and not a friendly warm feeling. read more

Don't know why it has got 5 stars from others. The quality of coffee is pretty average, roast options are also not there. I asked for medium or dark roast options, they said they have only one type. There are much better coffee options in the neighborhood, they should really get serious about getting at least on par and not try to rest on the laurels from the 5 stars they see here. I recognize the need to show some attitude to stand apart through 6 clocks set at the same time zone, and humor in 'reserving the right to serve everyone with humility', and the chic decor. But if you are looking to provide an experience and invite customers to sit and spend time and buy more, metal chairs don't offer the kind of long time comfort needed for such enduring loyalty. read more

My coffee was good and service was not overly friendly but adequate. I had a hard time finding something for my kids to drink. I would suggest a larger product offering with more bottled cold drinks and highlight the fact that you roast your own beans. A wider variety of pastries wouldn't hurt with some good cookies thrown in. Watch "The Profit" on TV. You'd learn a thing or two about this. Good show for business owners to watch. :-) read more

I tried the vanilla latte and the pearl latte here. The latte is incredibly smooth and very good. Nothing to complain about the coffee here, it is absolutely fantastic. Very clean inside, with efficient staff. The coffee came out very quickly. So 5 stars for that. The following are just personal complaints and will probably depend on personal tastes. My only complaint is that the interior isnt exactly the best. They have this wall that's supposed to be a world time type thing woth the times of different locations, except theyre all nearby cities and thus all the same time. Bad attempt at humor i guess. The crappy classroom clocks just looked out of place when looking at the rest of the place. The rest of the interior feels unbalanced and Im not sure what mood the person was going for. I'd much rather togo the order and drink it somewhere else. Secondly, although the service was very fast and efficient, and not at all bad, the staff wasnt exactly friendly. No smiles at all, the dude making the coffee looked angry the whole time, although it may have been his natural expression. The experience there not at all unpleasant for me but if they make more of an effort to be friendlier it would make the service go from decent to excellent. Lastly, they dont really have a lot of tables inside. They have this big table in the middle and some table bars and this smaller tables, but it was awkward for my group of 5 to find a good place to sit. I did like their choice of table wood and style though, it was pretty cool. read more

I was blown away by the hospitality of Will. I have been meaning to try Kingdom coffee roasters for a long time and made quite the drive to come out to Folsom. I happened to walk in a few minutes after closing time and I was literally heartbroken when I found out that they were already closed. When he heard how far I've traveled to give them a try not only did he serve me but he made sure to give me a few minutes before locking the door after me. I will definitely be making the journey again during open hours and truly enjoying the experience. read more

Who knew that Folsom would become a breading ground for excellent 3rd wave coffee roasters. With the addition of Kingdom Coffee, we now have a few options to satisfy the discerning coffee enthusiast. The fellas who run this place are obviously "in-the-know" and are expert roasters and purveyors of delicious caffeinated beverages. The shop is a little tricky to find as its tucked in behind the Hilton Garden Inn next to the sports bar. The atmosphere is "cool & comfortable" and the vibe is mellow and inviting. Pay close attention to the details, they have inserted some fun and amusing antidotes that speak to their creativity and "folly". Like the wall of clocks and golden bar stool. I've enjoyed the latte's and espresso's and look forward to picking up some beans to take over to my "coffee-snob" brother-in-law. Wow. What a great find! I come to Folsom for work every couple of weeks and I didn't realize there was a specialty coffee shop and roaster here. I needed something more interesting other than Starbucks so I did a little search and bam these guys came up. This place is legit and its minimalistic interior design is the perfect setup for the third was coffee scene. The space is large and open without much clutter. Simplistically beautiful. Talked to the owner a few time and we geeked out on some coffee origins and roasting. I got to see up an close how they roast their coffee the next morning along with some education behind it from the owner. Got myself a freshly roasted batch of their Anadem blend for me to take home.
