This is a small coffee shop I never knew was right across from the Outlets. It's small but has lots of seating, very smart use of space. I did hesitate for a second trying to figure out where the front counter was, but nothing crazy. I get a little anxious when I'm unsure where things begin. I ordered the Iced Pearl Latte, which was just okay for me. It tasted more like iced coffee with milk and didn't really stand out. That said, I did choose a very safe, basic option from the menu. The real winner was the egg sandwich, so good! Never had an egg sandwich with jam in it but I'm here for it. I was more hungry than anything, and it absolutely hit the spot. I probably didn't even need the coffee, but I'm a coffee addict, so here we are. Customer service was great. One employee started my coffee while another rang me up and made my sandwich, love that teamwork. Everything was brought to me, though I wouldn't have minded grabbing it myself since the shop is small. Overall, I'd come back and try something else.

I had the Thai Chai Iced Tea and the Pink Vanilla Cold Foam was super delicious. The Actual Thai Chai Tea was just okay, it lacked flavor in my opinion. The cold foam helped it but I wouldn't order that specific drink again. Customer service was good.

came here to get some work done and it was pretty conducive. free wifi, water, and restroom. they only offer a few food items and pastries but a variety of drinks, even though most of the seasonal ones were unavailable the ube latte had good flavor but it was a bit too sweet, and I don't think it had espresso in it. the hazelnut latte was not nutty enough. the egg sandwich bun could be softer, but ingredients, especially the jam, were great. the ham & cheese croissant was good too, make sure to ask for it to be toasted!

We came here recently with a group and it was ok. The lady who took our order was nice but the guy making the drinks looked like he was not in a happy mood, perhaps bc he was the only one making the drinks. They looked like they were short-staffed for a weekend morning. The quality of the drinks were ok, nothing fancy. The ambiance was also kind of messy and black-themed decor which made the inside a bit dark. The prices ranged from $6.50 and up which were quite a bit high for a small latte compared to other stand alone cafes that offer larger selections of lattes, brighter ambiance and friendlier customer service.

Stopped by Kingdom Coffee Roasters on a Monday morning and had a great first visit! I ordered two drinks and picked up two pastries. Their list of spring specials caught my eye, and the barista recommended the Sticky Mango Latte--I got mine with almond milk and made it decaf, which they were happy to accommodate. I also ordered a Mocha for my boyfriend and grabbed a chocolate croissant and a ham & cheese croissant, both sourced from Julian's Bakery nearby. The Sticky Mango Latte was definitely the highlight--it had the perfect balance of sweetness, with a rich mango flavor enhanced by the condensed milk. The croissants were also excellent--super flaky and buttery. The ham & cheese one had a deliciously crispy cheese crust, and the chocolate croissant featured a decadent, high-quality chocolate filling. The café itself has a relaxed atmosphere, with some people working inside, but it wasn't overly crowded. It's tucked away across from the Folsom Outlets, but I can see it becoming more popular as word spreads. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. I'll definitely be back to try more of their seasonal flavors--everything sounded so good! Maybe next time, I'll even bring my laptop and get some work done here. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

Cute coffee place in Folsom. It's on a little strip mall and there's lots of parking. It was comfortable and had a nice vibe for working. Service was friendly. I liked my toast with lox, a good choice. We weren't that excited about the coffee. Drip coffee wasn't great, my Americano was a bit better but maybe the roast just wasn't our taste. If I came back I'd probably try the pour over.

Was super excited about the summer menu! But the drinks we got were a bit mixed. My Papa Smurf latte was on the sweeter side, at least it was definitely blueberry flavor no doubt, but just wasn't getting any espresso at all. On the opposite side, my husband's miso caramel latte just tasted like a normal latte. I am still super interested in the two peanut butter summer drinks so I'd still be open to coming back and hopefully updating this review!!

Love this coffee roaster in Folsom. A must have before heading to shopping across the street. Service is great during every visit, friendly staff and good vibes~ I've tried a few things here so far. For food I got a smoked salmon plus avocado toast on my first visit. This is two items on the menu combined into one, which is so nice of the barista to make it for me. The combination is delicious I love it. For drinks, I really like: 1. Latte: it's creamy and perfectly steamed. Perfect when you want a sippy drink that can last long. 2. Cappuccino: strong but perfect ratio. They roast their own coffee and it's through this drink that the espresso notes shine through while really complimented by the milk. 3. Nitro cold brew: the nitro infusion makes it deceptively creamy which is so fun. 4. Cortado: very strong. For the times where you need a hit of energy but are too scared to go to straight up espresso. A little bitter as it should be but tasty~ The place is decent size with lots is seatings and a roasting facility in the corner. It's always so nice to sip coffee while there are roasting new beans. The decor is dark toned in a cool way~ Love the place and enjoy stopping by once in a while!

If I could only share one thing from here...PLEASE do yourself a favor and try their cinnamon roll. Holy Moses that is the best thing I've ever had. On top of that though the coffee is great, the baristas are incredibly friendly and the vibes are wonderful.

Great spot with lots of seating and outlets to get some work done! I came here on a Monday afternoon for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I got the matcha with added sweetness and it was good. They had a few specialty drinks in their menu which I think may stand out more. The staff there were super nice and friendly. One thing I noticed is it is a little dark inside but it didn't bother me.

I was in the area and needed a morning Bev, so I stopped by and it's a really nice coffee spot! Upon entering, I was a bit unsure if I was in the right place because it didn't have your typical coffee bean scent when walking in. I got a big whiff of some type of incense that was burning! So that caught me off guard, but it smelled nice. Service was nice. I ordered an iced Vanilla Oatmilk Latte, they didn't have soy milk unfortunately (my preference)- but it came out super quick and it was a really delicious latte! I'm glad I tried it out, would love to try out their other drinks and food whenever I'm back in the area.

Attention all coffee enthusiasts in the tri-county area ... THE BEST COFFEE EVER has recently arrived in Folsom. Tucked away near Sharif jewelers, across from the outlets is my new home away from home. My husband and I stumbled upon this location a few weeks ago and we are hooked! The first sip of my iced coffee with almond milk changed my caffeine game. The coffee here is insanely smooth, yet perfectly rich. My husband, who is quite the coffee snob (he calls himself a connoisseur) has given this place two thumbs up as well. He's a latte lover and claims that Kingdom Coffee has set the standard even higher. Besides the fact they serve the best coffee ever, the customer service here is no less than five stars as well. The owners of this location are so friendly and personable. I truly think this is the best coffee shop in town. read more

This is my go-to coffee shop now whenever I'm in Sacramento! A little bit of a drive, but well worth it! They're expanding the place with more seats, as well as their menu items! My favorite cold drink: chai latte. My favorite hot drink: mocha. Both drinks are full of flavor, and I'll be making my way down the menu! Their pastries look really good too, my brother enjoyed their s'mores cookie. Give this place a try, if you want GOOD COFFEE! read more

Today was our first time visiting Kingdom Coffee Roasters. We've had a great experience. I love the design of the store and the fact that their menu is so easy to parse. We just had tea today and it was delicious - it was very well extracted with the right temperature water. Can't wait to be able to drink coffee again to try their selection. Had a very smooth and flavorful cortado. Espresso shot was majority Brazil with a little Ethiopia so it was nice and rich with a smooth and subtle hint of the brighter fruit that Ethiopia brings to the table. It's great to get a roaster in Folsom who can compete with what has been happening in Sac for a while. I'll be back. read more

Not sure what all the raving for this coffee shop is about. I had an iced latte which was average at best. The blueberry lemon scone was very good however. I bought a bag of the Guatemala roast and it is just not good. The staff seemed ok but there was a man behind the counter, perhaps an owner, that was loud and a bit obnoxious. The shop is pretty hip but not very comfortable and inviting. It was also pretty empty when I was there. I really wanted to like this place but it was disappointing. read more

The coffee here is great. I had an iced mocha, and it was delicious! Unfortunatley, the furniture is 90% metal chairs and stools. There is a couch and chair in the back across from the store room (door was open) and next to the bathroom. When I go into a coffee shop, I expect a "cozy" area. Unfortunately, they missed the mark on this. The two guys working were friendly enough, especially to people they seemed to know. read more

Decent coffee but as a few other reviews mentioned, the workers were super careless and unfriendly. Came in and waited a good 2 minutes without being greeted, while the worker talked to another guy, not taking his order or anything, just personal conversation. When we did order, he was not friendly at all and just seemed like it was such a task to speak to us. I've worked in food service and I get that it's not always fun but it sucks coming in, being excited to try a new place and being met with zero friendliness. There's a weird high school-ish cliquey vibe here. I noticed that when obvious regulars came in, the worker was very friendly and chatty, but with us newbies he couldn't have cared less. Again, the coffee was pretty good, but it was weird feeling like a nuisance for just trying to order. read more

Friendly staff, & good coffee. Simple as that. They should be praised for this especially in 2020, I was pleased to experience excellent customer service which is lacking at some places these days. While I was here enjoying my coffee I witnessed them showing kindness to a homeless man who wanted a drink, they didn't charge him. Now that, is commendable, may God bless this coffee shop this really made me like this shop even more. read more

Came in for the first time and had an OKAY experience. Was not mesmerizing at all, the staff lacked character and customer service. Latte was good but cup was not 3/4 way full. Breakfast Sanwhich was the most impressive thing I had there. Probably wont be returning but it's worth a stop if your looking for an coffee to go and not looking for a good customer experience. read more

Yummy fresh roasted coffee! Love the clean, fresh, natural wood environment and the fun crown logo. The owners really know their coffee. "Hints of vanilla, apple, smooth finish." I can do this with wine, but not coffee. Thanks Will. read more

I've been here now three times because I fell in love with the pearl latte. My go to is normally an iced coffee, but when I found this place through yelp I seen a lot of reviews talking about this specific drink. So I gave it a try and it was amazing, it was also my first time ever getting a heart/ leaf in my foam so that was cool. Now customer service that's another thing! Their staff needs to be more friendly, smile more, and not kick you out when they are getting ready to close. Since that I probably won't be coming back as often. If you don't care too much about customer service than get your coffee and I highly recommend this drink! read more

Whoa. This place kind of has it all. It's cozy, you're welcomed warmly every time you enter, they roast their own beans (and they're terrific!), package their own stuff, ship their own orders, and not to mention, they make a mean oat vanilla latte. I'm so looking forward to going back! read more

Good coffee, better than Starbucks. Doesn't have flavored coffee, like caramel, but offers espresso sweetened with simple syrup or sweetened condensed milk and chocolate mocha's. Nice ambiance. Has the vibe of Temple coffee. Beans are roasted on-site and the espresso tasted smooth. read more

I would give a higher rating if I was just rating this place solely based on their coffee selection. This has been my go-to place whenever I travel through Folsom. I made a stop today and was surprised to see that one employee and I were the only ones wearing a mask inside. There were a few patrons sitting on one of the tables and having a conversation. I believe it was the owner of the establishment and another person who was sitting at the coffee bar talking to one another without masks and they were no more than 2 feet from one another. I am disappointed to see that they are not taking the welfare and health of their customers into consideration. There are others who also commented about this same concern on here and yet it does not seem anything has been done about it. I am happy to take my business somewhere else where they consider safety as their priority. read more

My friend was ranting and raving about how good her coffee slush was that she got earlier in the day so we decided to to go on our lunch because I wanted to try it and I need something cold to beat the heat. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming as you walk in and the interior was very simple - which I like. We were greeted by the owner I would assume who was very friendly. From the looks of the menu there weren't a to of options like a chain coffee shop but they had enough. Easier to make a decision! But I was there for one thing and one thing only. A coffee slush thing. And let me tell you. It was pretty darn delicious. I will definitely be back again for another one and to try more items on their menu. No issues with parking, friendly staff, welcoming, simple, clean atmosphere. 5 stars all around! read more

Are you freaking kidding? This is without exaggerating the BEST cup of coffee I have ever had in my life. I've been to many boutique coffee shops that roast or grind there own beans but none match the flavor and smoothness of KCR. Even if you don't drink coffee you will love KCR coffee. And imagine it's right here in Folsom. Wow. read more

Without a doubt, this place does great coffee. They do one thing and one thing quite well: roast and brew coffee. This isn't Starbucks. It isn't Peets. This isn't a franchise or a chain The quality of the coffee is so far above and beyond what most are used to. Every drink I've gotten is great! The menu is limited - you won't find the Frappuccinos or flavored drinks (although the coffee slush is bomb). You will find the best coffee in the Sacramento Valley (the teas are also great). It's a drive from where I live (twenty minutes plus) but it's worth it. Love it! read more

I am so happy to find KCR! I have family that lives in Placerville and we come up every month to visit. While here I make my rounds visiting a variety of specialty coffee shops. I ordered an iced Latte sweetened with a little homemade simple syrup. It was delicious and the service it came with was top notch. My son ordered a hibiscus tea and a cookie. The tea was delicious as well and the cookie was perfectly cooked. As good as the drinks were, the service was the best. Both the owners took time to talk to me and The never made me feel like I was bothering them. The roaster spent some time talking with me and answered questions openly. I purchased a half pound of Ethiopian toast and I look forward to drinking it. Highly recommend! read more

Established in 2016.

Starting out in a garage in 2016 roasting beans for other cafes and catering events, our dream of opening a retail space of our own came true in June of 2017. We welcome everyone happily and look forward to bringing them in on what we love to do, serve.

Meet the Business Owner: Ty M.

Co-owned by longtime friends Ty and Will. Opening a cafe was a long standing dream that brought these two friends together to combine their efforts into a place that is focussed on bringing out the best in everything and everyone. Ty is a self-taught roaster who start3ed his journey in coffee in 2015 with a small roaster in a garage. Will joined him after years of experience working in specialty coffee starting back in 2010 in a small Oklahoma cafe and traveling all across the country including time in NYC and LA.

If you want the best coffee beans in Sacramento this is where you'll find it! I brew my own coffee at home and Kingdom has the best beans!! The coffee tastes very dimensional, rich and well flavored (I tend to gravitate towards nutty and chocolate flavor notes). I also love going to the cafe where I have had the cortado, latte, and regular drip coffee all in which are delicious!! I love the spacious cafe and appreciate the artwork on the walls. My son loves the chocolate chip cookies and my favorite would be the croissants! Thanks for being consistent. One of my biggest pet peeves is paying for a $5 cup of gross coffee and at Kingdom Coffee you will not get that!! I always look forward to my next cup! read more

I stopped by this adorable coffee shop and was so impressed! I ordered a honey cinnamon latte and an avocado toast with smoked salmon--both were absolutely delicious. The latte had the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, and the avocado toast was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Everything came out in a timely manner, and the service was just as great as the food. The baristas were so sweet and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I walked in and the dark bearded just for men spokesmen employee/owner was rude once AGAIN! Almost 6.00 bucks for a small iced latte no biggie im not cheap. But I could basically buy a pound of espresso for that and have a grand time! I told him ice on the side and top me off with oat milk. He said no we use expensive milk and we would be losing too much ! Any way you dice it up OATMILK is one of the Least expensive non dairy products out there. Pachamama Coffee made me the most amazing peppermint iced tea I've ever had…read more It was quite hot during our trip and the honey went in to order so my peppermint tea came with a small splash of honey which I'd normally not have gotten but was perfection with this drink. I loved that they had an adorable little garden area outside with a ton of outside seating (both shaded and un-shaded) as well as benches and although my tea took a few minutes to brew it was well worth it. The breakfast wrap had the perfect balance of scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, avocado, and cheddar cheese. Everything worked together without any one ingredient overpowering the others, and the salsa on the side was a great addition. Honestly, it's one of the best breakfast burritos/wraps I've had. And the croissant... wow. It was absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the croissant was light, flaky, and buttery, and every bite was packed with flavor. The Nutella crepe was also very good. The crepe itself was perfectly made, though there was a little more Nutella than I personally prefer. Next time I'll probably ask for less, but that's purely a matter of taste. The avocado toast was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me. It was good, but the honey flavor dominated the dish and drowned out some of the other ingredients. I'd love to taste a little more balance there. If you're bold enough to ask staff about the status of your order, they are rude and basically tell you to deal with the delay. On one of our last visits, they messed up my drink and when I told them, they didn't trust that I was telling the truth. They insisted I find the order number so they could confirm I was telling the truth and that "they didn't undercharge me for the drink". Real nice. If you're in this part of town, I'd skip this place and go a couple doors down to the Coffee Republic instead.
