The best Bloody Mary I've ever had was at Kingfish. I'm not kidding--but that's not where my list of bests ends. The bartenders are some of the realest people you'll ever meet, and by the time you leave, they'll feel like old friends. The patio is incredible: plenty of tables, tons of space to sit or stand, another full bar, and live music during the summer months. Their happy hour is the bomb dot com, and since it's dog-friendly, everyone just hangs out like it's a backyard get-together. And how could I forget?! This place kicks ass! The bar tenders are super friendly and hook it up. I love this place. Huge patio! With bar outside. Sometimes live music. Also indoor bar. You can bring your dogs and let them run free if you want (keep mines on a leash). Sweetest bartenders who know their shit (Shout out to Jaqueline and Dan) and never have a "I don't want to be here" attitude. Also- super cheap drinks and although they don't serve food they let your BYOF (bring your own food for you daft mf'ers), and sometimes have people bringing foods like food trucks. Good bar in the Dickson area. No food, but good drinks with affordable prices. The business hours are good and they are almost always open, regardless of inclement weather. There is bar and booth seating and a few different TV's to watch sports. The outside patio is great in warmer weather and they usually have bands lined up throughout the warm season. They usually don't mind if you bring in food since they don't serve it. The service is good and friendly. There is a collection of community koozies if you ever need one in the hot weather. As they say 5 star dive bar. Well honestly 3 star dive bar. Pros- back patio, decent beer selection and takes credit cards. Now on to the negatives. Number one - there is no patrician or lock on the bathroom door, just a toilet and a urinal. Seemed strange and a liability. Next there was an incident where someone came off the street onto the patio not through the front of the bar and started asking for cab money to get home as his wallet was stolen. It would be very beneficial to close off that entrance or have a bouncer there. Third and finally back to the safety of the patrons, went there after the hogs game Saturday and at 2 pm there were 2 drunk people passed out at a picnic table all by themselves. I've been coming to kingfish for a couple of weeks and I'm a big fan of the set up. I recommend it to my friends always. Today I came with about 10 friends, one which was underage. She was asked for her id, and when she told the bartenders that she wasn't 21, they proceeded to call her a Cunt and kick her out for being underage . When confronted they said "this is our territory we can do what we want bitch" this is a joke of an establishment and I hope whoever the owner is can get his bartenders under control, they have no understanding of the service industry. read more

The staff and bar are just the best for a casual, chill environment. If you want to sit inside, note that they do allow smoking, so it can get a little foggy in there sometimes. The outside with the VW van, the hipster environment, the dogs on the deck, and the live bands playing are what make this place. Stop in for a visit! If there was a way to give zero stars I would. The bartenders are extremely rude. The last time my girlfriend and I went, the bartender ignored us for the better part of ten minutes, then screamed obscenities at us and told us to "get the f*** out" when my girlfriend said something to her. WORST FN BAR I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN MY LIFE!!!!! Wish zero stars was an option!!!!!!!!!!! Or NEGATIVE stars for that matter!!!! ABSOLUTE RUDESTTTTTTTTT staff I have ever seen in my whole entire life. EVER!!!! The bar is supposed to close at 2 am. At 1:45 they all come out there and start LITERALLY YELLING at everyone telling us the get the f*** out because they are closed! I say, aren't you supposed to close at 2am, it's only 1:45 and the staff says to me verbatim "we close whenever the fuck we want to close so give me your drink!" I then say to him I'm not finished with my drink yet (it was half way full) and the staff then says to me "well you are now!!" As he literally snatches the drink out of my hand!!!! My boyfriend who witnesses this quickly jumps in and tells them off as a good man should and the staff member and his "assistant manager" start cussing and yelling at him, threatening to fight. I then grab him and leave because I felt like the situation was not worth escalating any further. Then as we are walking away I see the staff inside in the window pointing at us and laughing. I have never been so upset at a business in my whole entire life. I literally left this bar in tears from the complete disrespect I just received.
