Some cleaners specialize in altercations not alterations like this shop does:) I have heard many stories and problems about cleaners ruining folks clothes. This shop even cleans and preserves wedding dresses.This can be very costly. They can also clean leather and suede fabrics which some don't want to deal with. Most folks don't want to be taken to the cleaners, but when you have to have a suit or dress pressed there are many options in town. I have added this shop to my list. read more

Awful!!!! Myself and 3 others I know experienced ruined clothing.They would not admit their mistake and demanded payment. My formal dressy top was ruined - they stripped off all of the metallic finish and claimed I brought it in that way! I refused to pay for it and left it there. Alterations rating : 0 My daughter's coat had a collar that stuck up which she didn't like so I asked them if they could remove it and somehow mend it so it looks descent. He didn't quote me a price when I dropped it off because he didn't know how much work was involved. Upon pick up he charged me $15. No problem. When I got home, I realized all they did was take a pair of scissors and literally cut off the collar and gave it back to me. To mending, no stiching. My 9 year old could of done it. I do not recommend alterations here. Customer service rating: 0 I had about 20 socks with holes in them. I wondered if the cleaners would mend them but didn't think it was likely. I called in advance and asked him if they mend socks and how much it would cost. Obviously since socks are so inexpensive, it' probably cheaper to buy new ones than pay for mending. On the phone he said "NOT MUCH. BRING THEM IN." I was surprised he agreed. When I got there he told me to throw them away and buy new ones. He said it costs him $4 just to turn on the sewing machine. I was surprised he told me to bring them in in the first place. But now he made me go all the way there for nothing. What a jerk! read more

Literally, THE BEST place to get alterations. 3 out of 3 times, my ass had procrastinated on getting bridesmaids dresses altered (shhh, don't tell the brides) and have brought them in two days before the big day. They had them done under 24 hours, all under $25 dollars. That's great turn around time, and a great price. Most recently, a cousin went here under my recommendation, and they charged her $22 for a skirt alteration for a formal dress, to be done next day at 10 am! Highly recommend this place!!! read more

Granted the customer should think twice about asking for a new zipper on a skirt that barely cost $15.00 (cost of the zipper alteration $21.00). So I took a chance and when I got the skirt back, the new zipper was there along with cut fabric on the top part of the skirt... that inevitably will unravel and show more fabric. I told them to fix it. When I went back to pick up the fixed skirt, they had COLORED the fabric showing tear with a MARKER. Seriously? BAD, WORSE and WORST. end of story on my part! read more

I went here to wash a flag (long story, state flag that we sign as a team and send to our past president at work) and I was given looks like I had 7 heads, then I was told it would 20-30 dollars to wash the flag. When I asked "I just wanted washed, not dry cleaned, why is it so much?" I was told "ok then, bye" huh??????? Terrible customer service! I would never go back here even though it would be very convenient as I work next door to it but I'd rather drive and get good service than deal with their attitude. read more

Have been going to Kings Gard for many years. They are courteous and always try to get the job done in a timely manner. Great with alterations. Also clean up UGG boots really nicely! I've also had rugs cleaned there, too, with good results. Highly recommend. read more

The worst experience I've had with a dry cleaners. Not only does he write all over your (nice) shirts, he is incredibly rude. I came in for 1 day cleaning on shirts before heading abroad. He charged me $5.00 a SHIRT and then claimed this was the price for everyone. When I disputed his wife had to hold him back he was so angry and confrontational. I am tempted to bring this to the police. He overcharges for poor service and is incredibly rude. Stay away. read more

I would not advise anyone to go there unless you believe there are actually people out there who NEVER make mistakes! I took my husband's brand new pink Ralph Lauren polo in to have it cleaned. When we got it back it had a light blue stain on the collar and stomach area. I took it back thinking they would APOLOGIZE and re-do it. What I got was a man raising his voice to me saying they "NEVER GET STAIN ON ANYTHING!" I told him it was possible that someone dropped it on the floor or maybe the filthy basket they put dirty clothes in got it soiled. He again yelled at me telling me the same thing, that he "never get stain on anything." After I got angry back and told him that was crazy, that accidents happened, but that I would take the shirt and not be back, he then said he would clean it again. At that point, it was not about the shirt being dirty ( I know accidents happen) it was about his arrogant attitude that made me decide to go elsewhere. I highly discourage anyone from using Kings Gard Cleaners! We should have known not to return after dropping off some very expensive Brooks Brothers shirts only to receive them back with our last name spelled in black ink on the inside hem of every shirt. Who does that? Although it doesn't show on the outside, they literally took a black pen to every shirt and marked them up. We asked them not to do that for future use and, while they agreed not to, they didn't seem to think there was a problem with their process of identifying shirts. On two other occasions, we had shirts returned with stains on them that were not there when we brought them in. Although they redid the shirts, it was quite upsetting to get shirts back with very large, obvious stains. The last straw was when we dropped off an expensive sport coat, only to get it back and realize it had shrunk significantly! When my husband brought it back to show them and ask very politely what they could do about it, they accepted no responsibility and even yelled at my husband and pointed to the door. We have never in our lives received such poor service. We are now out hundreds of dollars since they wouldn't absorb any part of the cost of a replacement jacket. read more

Beware of this place! Bought a Calvin Klein coat in November ($270) and spilled coffee on it. Went here to have it cleaned. Prepayed $35, and it was returned 5 days later ruined. When I said: "OMG, what did you do to my new coat?" Then, demanded my receipt back. The owner physically grabbed my arm and shook me screaming "It is old coat!" I called police, and the owner reprinted a cash register receipt and gave me a $35 refund. He refused to give back the handwritten receipt that showed where he marked the material as leather and said there never was one. This is because on that receipt it stated leather. This is the only thing I can think of now as to what happened, but I am not a dry cleaner. However, the material around the neck was not leather. Now it is peeled off and unwearable to a professional work environment that requires business attire. This was a very beautiful winter coat that is now unwearable. Beware of this place!
