They have a big "Now Hiring" sign in the window. So my daughter goes in to ask about the job, and they tell her to come back the next day to start at 9:30. In the back of my mind I'm thinking there must be a catch, but my daughter is smiling and happy that she got a job on the spot. Well there is a catch. They had my daughter work there for 5 hours doing hard labor, and then at the end of the day they tell her it's not paid training. Not only that, the whole week is going to be training, and she won't be getting paid at all. Needless to say this is illegal both state and federal, but apparently it's just business as usual for this CD1 Price Cleaners. I guess the laws of the land just don't apply when it's CD1 Price Cleaners. Maybe they should open up some sweatshops overseas. read more

I went today 1/10/26 at 7:10 am. And asked for same day service. The man wearing a face mask told me that service is longer offered. And that the earliest I could have it is Monday the 1/12/26. So I called another location and asked the same question. They said that as long as I purchase the service before 10am it is fine for same day cleaning. I'm disappointed at this location in Niles. I live Tvis dry cleaners! I always drop off overnight in a drop box and by 2/3pm that day the clothes are dry cleaned. If you drop off before 5 pm on one day they will be done by 5pm the next. When he finally arrived he said the Niles store had the item. Called Niles, talked to Pedro. Pedro said they have no items there. Went back to Des Plaines store. Kissn said he just talked to Pedro and the itme was there. Called Pedro in Niles again, he said they have no items there. They are a bunch of liars and possibly thieves. Put a call in to the Manager. This place is reckless. I brought in 8 or 9 shirts and when picked up 2 had little tags saying that they did the best that they could; these are the shirts with the big scorch marks. The other two shirts didn't have tags; I'm guessing they didn't want to make it to obvious that they messed up half of my items. These people know true customer service!! I recently took my faux fur comforter to be cleaned, but it ended up being damaged. I took it back and the owner bought me a brand new comforter! Honestly, I was completely in shock. I should mention that I have taken many comforters there over the last several years and have never had a problem in the past. However, it is so wonderful to encounter a business that acknowledges a challenge with no questions asked! I've been taking my dry-clean worthy clothes here for quite some time now. Their prices are very affordable and generally cheaper than other dry cleaners I've been to. The employees are always nice and friendly to me. I took some comforters here and they come out clean and smelling fresh, as well as the dress button up shirts I occasionally bring. Comforters (as of 2019) are $20 to dry clean, while shirts are $2 each. Ya can't beat that. Also can't beat the free Starbucks coffee and lollipops at the lobby. Drop off your clothes by 10AM of the morning, guarenteed pick up of 5PM the next day. CD One Price Cleaners do their cleaning and ironing in-house, so no worries on them sending things elsewhere and getting lost in-transit. read more

Last week I dropped off a very expensive throw. They told me it would be ready on Friday after 5:00pm. We popped in Friday afternoon and the man behind the counter said "OH NO, comeback after 5:00" he honestly looked like scared. Did not put much thought into it, the day got away from us and we went on Saturday morning to pick up the throw. When we walked in the two Indian workers were speaking another language and would not come up to us. It was a good 4/5 minutes. Finally one came over and said "OH your blanket is not ready it will be ready later and I will deliver to your house" - strange response, I replied no it was supposed to be ready yesterday, I want the throw now, he walked away he came back with the throw , folded in a very awkward way? My partner opened the throw and it was wrecked! When I say wrecked it was literally still smoking! He said WE MESSED UP and started screaming at us "I REPLACE FILL OUT THIS FORM" "I PAY FOR IT" I calmly replied the throw was $299.00 he replied STOP YELLING... keep in mind we were not yelling we were actually in awe the blanket was still smoking ! He said the machine we use was TOO HOT! (Keep in mind his words not mine) he kept screaming I almost thought for a second he was deaf... them i asked his name Bobbin Shah he said he was the owner and asked if I could fill out this form so he could call his insurance company. I complied, as I was filling out the form, he started yelling at us again screaming "I BUY YOU NEW ONE I BRING TO YOUR HOUSE" I replied I don't want you coming to my house! After the forms were filled out he kept saying I'm coming to your house! Creepy! Then she asked if he was the owner he said YES! I said ok well we will contact corporate- well he went off the deep end and started screaming so much I could not even make out what he was saying. I'm waiting to see if he is a man of his word and will replace the blanket.... Secondly as we walked out my partner reminded me "this is where you brought our area right to be cleaned and.... It came back more dirty than we sent it! Never again with this place I will be contacting corporate tomorrow. read more

The front desk is incredibly helpful and efficient. We brought a comforter for cleaning after someone in our house had been ill (we don't have a large enough washer and dryer here to do our comforters) - called ahead to find out how to safely deliver this and they were very helpful. When it came back, not only was it sparkling clean but fluffy too! It looked like the day we bought it!! That prompted us to bring in all of our other comforters because they way they are returned (on a very strong hanger and bagged) will make for easy seasonal storage as well. When I told him I was a new customer, he had me fill out a short form and then hooked me up with a big dry cleaning/laundry bag and some coupons. He also explained that if my clothes are in by 10 am, they'll be ready by 5 pm same day. Luis paid close attention to my clothes and put tags on reminding his coworkers to pre-spot clean some makeup that had gotten on the collars of two of my shirts and dress. Pretty decent cleaners. I stopped in on my way to work to drop off my Christmas tree skirt. This item seemed to baffle the guy working early in the morning because at first he didn't even want to take it from me. I can't believe they never work with anything felted (scarves, handmade items, bedspreads, etc.) so I insisted they take it. They warned me that they weren't responsible if it were damaged but I was willing to take the risk - I just couldn't imagine what they could possibly do to this piece of felt to ruin it. They told me it'd be available by 5pm the same day so I stopped in after work and - of course - it wasn't ready. Apparently the item was so baffling to everyone in the place that they couldn't figure out what to do with it until it was too late in the day to finish by 5. I was annoyed but they promised it would be ready the following day. I called to make sure it was ready the next day and picked it up and it was wonderfully clean! Nicely pressed, cleaned up (there was cat hair and other gunk on it from years of use on the floor) and ready for placement under my tree. Even though this tree skirt seemed to confuse everyone here, they did a good job cleaning it and it was only like $4 when all was said and done. I'd take more cleaning here if I ever had the need - it's right on my way to/from work and they'll (normally) get things done in the same day if you bring it in before 10am. The parking lot is tiny here so beware - people seem to never pay attention to people coming in/out and I've had a lot of close calls just entering and exiting this little space. read more

Instead of paying for a replacement, he bartered for the cheapest price he could get then stuck me with paying the balance. If he paid a replacement price minus wear that would have been a good business practice. However, he put profit over customer loyalty. The mom n pop style dry cleaner at the end of our block that my family was loyal to for years closed, so finding a new place was rough. Thankfully CD One is inexpensive and quick. Jasmine took care of me, but the whole staff seems friendly. They do my dads work shirts, my moms wardrobe , and just did some sports jerseys for me- I even got one as a gift, but it was way too large, and they altered it perfectly. I took clothes there twice for dry cleaning and learned my lesson never to return. The first time I took several items only to take home and find 3 items were never pressed. The second time I went once again with several pieces to come home and find two pieces were not dry clean (wrinkle beyond). Twice had to waste my time to return the undone items and their solution was to redo. I asked for a refund as it was wasted time for me to return again for something that should had been done correctly the first time. Lesson learned! Will never return. read more

I would highly recommend this dry cleaners. I dropped of a pair of Black UGG boots to get clean for $28.99. I had them fainted and with water stains. The gentleman( Pedro) that helped me explain that it would take 2 weeks to get it back which it's understandable they send it out to a third party. When I got them back my boots looked great and they had also re- dye them. I loved how they came out. Also it's a prepaid system so you pay ahead. Great service and friendly employees. Solid dry cleaner. I come here if I need to get my clothes clean. Heck if I need it soon they do same day cleaning if you come early enough. I usually come before 9 am(but I think same day cleaning is 10 am). Service is fast and friendly. Someone will notice you when you come in. Every time I been here I don't think I ever saw a line. Never had a bad employee experience. It's dry cleaning pretty hard to upset me. Sometimes you can find their coupons from local grocery receipts or ad paper. I just saw one on their Yelp page when I decided to type this review. Be sure to look. Even though their prices are good, it can be great. The best part is coming in the morning. They'll have free coffee that you can serve yourself by the door. Can't help myself to a quick caffeine boost to my day. read more

Very quick service. I dropped my comforter off around 8 am, and it was ready by 5 pm the same day. This was impressive because my comforter had a large stain on it due to my cat getting sick. Prices are competitive and the comforter was clean. The only thing they would need to work on is customer service skills. The people working the registers had the personality of sand. Since this is very near where I work, it's my go to cleaners. Why? Because it's cheap, I am always in and out in less than 2 minutes and they do an awesome job. I've been using them for two years now and have never had a single problem with them. Note: they do not do specialty items like down coats, leather or wedding dresses. Today was the first time I dropped off my sons five shirts. He's a new college graduate with a new job and these were his nice shirts. I tried to them up a week and a half later. I waited atleast seven minutes while other people are walking past me and nobody was telling me anything. I finally asked, what's the problem?! I'm waiting and waiting. She finally came back to me and said basically mumbling we can't find them , the manager will call you tomorrow. The next day the manager called me and said that the shirts are lost , they gave them to somebody else and they're just waiting for the person to return them. And they were to call me back. Well a couple days later I still had not heard from them and I called them and they said they were still waiting. I said well if they don't return them I want to be compensated for this and they mumbled something about credit and I said no I'm never coming back to the store and I'm not getting credit. So once again I waited for the call. It never came. I had to call during work. He said he left me three messages which is a lie. The shirts were returned and once again I had to go back in there and pick them up. I will never ever go back to the cleaners . I'm a customer of CD One Cleaners at two more locations (Morton Grove and Lombard) without any issues.  At this location, they do not dry clean table runners, nor send email notifications when orders are ready, regardless if you provide your email address.  The Morton Grove and Lombard locations have serviced my table runner before, and always send email notifications when orders are completed,  so I do not know why at this location they cannot.  After picking up my order, I noticed all my pants were creased, even though I requested no crease on my pants. However, all my pants were still creased, despite the pink tag attached to my order reading NO CREASE on pants.  Never returning to this location again. Seems they lack proper service. read more

Solid dry cleaner, if I have my items in by 9am while guaranteed by 5, they are usually ready well before then. I like that they send you an email when the items are ready and to date they haven't lost a single item. The people are friendly and the prices are reasonable. They always offer to help carry items to car which I never take them up on, but's it's a nice gesture. They offer free coffee. It's not very good but at least they try. read more

I don't like writing bad reviews, but CD One Price Cleaners are so bad that I feel like I have to. For the last two years I've been taking my shirts here and for the first six months they were fine. Not great but good enough considering the price and the fact that they were so quick. But that's where it ended. My shirts now come back scorched. I've brought brand new shirts to be laundered here and they have come back with creases in the cuffs so stiff they're still there six months later. Sleeves come back wrinkled and creased. Plackets are creased horizontally and vertically. And today, I got a shirt back with the collar pressed into itself, so it appears dog-eared. The quality control here is the worst I've ever seen. They do such a bad job I'd give them negative stars if I could. I have tried going in on days when different people were working and that makes no difference. I've tried to go in on slower days and that makes no difference. I will never, ever, ever come back. CD One Price Cleaners is so bad that they have redefined how bad I thought a cleaners could be. read more

Would love to give 0 stars. Dropped off my jeans to have them shortened. They do not do it there but I guess they send them out for tailoring etc. Got the jeans back and one leg is shorter than the other. They put some crappy double stitching that looks awful and the cut itself was crooked. So I went in today and the lady was nice and called her manager. Manager came up to the front and tried to convince me that I am looking at the pant legs the wrong way and that the cut was not crooked. It was me and my imagination. He tried to stretch it to show me that I was wrong. He offered to press them again to make the one leg longer. Really? Plus they put creases on the front of the jeans, who deas that? Completely ruined. I look at it this way. Your contractor or whoever you have do your tailoring screwed up. Own up to it and try to help the customer out plus change the tailoring company you send this out to.. Nothing was done and it seemed like i was making crap up. These were $140 jeans that I can just throw in the trash. You will def. Not see any money from me again. Stay away from this place. read more
