Let me start by saying, I am a picky person when it comes to my nails and it takes a lot for me to be satisfied when it comes to my acrylic nails. Been getting them done for over 30 years. With that said I like my nails with a curve, which is not very common these days. Molly and Tony were wonderful, especially when I asked if I could supply my own curved tips (most places do not carry these anymore). They said of course, whatever will make you happy. Visited them for the 1st time before Xmas, was so happy as I finally had curved nails again. I had previously been with my past nail tech for 14 years until she retired right before the pandemic. Not only did I get my curved nails, Tony listened to all my nit picking about shape and smoothness or angles and basically anything that i saw as a quirk that would bother me and my OCD. Went and got a fill in January and was still very happy with the services. Fast forward to Feb. and I was out of town and used a local place, and even with my own tips, i left feeling that my nails were not up to par and almost wanted to remove them and have them done over at King's Nails upon returning to town. Now I have my next appointment scheduled for next week for a new set to start over and I can't wait. Love Love Love the personalized attention I get there!!!! This is to the customer hoarding two workers to herself. I made a spontaneous decision to get a pedicure done for my friends wedding. Mind you, the store front says "walk in welcome" I walk in and ask if they have time. They say wait 15min. I reply. I can't because I'm on lunch and need to go back. The customer then goes "can I ask you a question? You know you can make an appt right?" Then she adds on that she has a salon and people do this all the time. How is it anyone's business that I want to do a walk in? Did she even book for two workers to work on her? Obviously, the store workers didn't say anything and I walked out. I won't be returning but I for sure want to know what business that customer owns. read more

I haven't been coming here for a long time but from first appointment I had I've loved King's Nails. Molly and Tony are so kind and genuinely do a good job. I've had about 3 fills for my acrylics and I know I will be coming back more. Molly is very patient with my indecisiveness as well! She takes time to do a good job and the prices are amazing! Went here to remove my gel polish and my toe polish. Asked $17, which I thought was reasonable. There were a man and woman working the salon. The woman was busy, but the man was not, and they had me wait. Then he decided to start working on removing my polish after all. Was using the filing drill all the way down to the nail bed. I expressed my concern about ruining my nail bed, and explained that other places I'd been to filed off the top layer, then used acetone and wrapped the nail. He had no idea what I was talking about and it was clear he did not know how to remove gel polish. I excused myself and left. read more

To be fair, I did not get a chance to sample the services here. I showed up in the middle of the day, on a weekday. This place is not far from my house, so I thought I'd give it a try. There was one woman getting a pedicure, and another woman sitting in the waiting area reading a magazine (I'm not sure if she was waiting for the other woman, or was waiting to get something done herself). I said I wanted to get a manicure and pedicure, and how long would the wait be. The man and woman ( I assume the owners) asked if I could come back later. I asked what time, and they looked through their appointment book for a minute or so and then asked if I could come back tomorrow. I politely said I'd find somewhere else. I've been to a lot of nail salons, and never have been told that I'd have to come back another day. The service here could possibly be quite good, but I'm not going to try to come back here only to risk being turned away again. read more

Went for the first time today, I had been looking for a good nail shop in the Livermore area that was close to my house. Molly and Tony are great! Molly did a wonderful job on my acrylic set and shaped them exactly like how I wanted them. I will definitely be coming here from now on. If it wasn't so cold outside today I probably would have gotten a pedicure too. They are very fair on their pricing. Have cash on you, though, because that is all they accept. Also it is only Molly and Tony there so if you are trying to go on what may be a busy day (like the weekend) I recommend calling ahead of time to make an appointment. read more

I work really close to this spot, so decided to go in on my lunch. Very small and outdated nail shop. I had gel on my toes, and they didn't do shellac services. She managed to get the color off though. The pedicure was too quick, I told her the water was too cold, and they didn't have warm water. The nail shop has awesome customer service but my pedicure sucked. She barely scrubbed the bottom of my feet and she had this tiny scrub bar. She hit each side of my foot once and barely touched the heal of my foot. Wouldn't go back! The 3 stars are for Customer Service. read more

I have a standing appointment at King's nails. Their prices are very reasonable and their work is efficient. I have never left their salon unsatisfied. Molly and Tony really care about their clients and the health of their nails. If you are having specific problems with your nails, let them know and they will do their best to fix the problem or make you more comfortable. For example, Molly does great work on hang nails and trying to ease the painful pressure they cause. They have a way of making you feel like you are part of their family. They are a small shop and do sometimes have to turn away walk-ins when they are booked. I would suggest you call ahead of time and set up an appointment. read more

I have a hard time finding good service and good nails! I have made this my regular nail place and have gone at least 5 times and received the same great service, price, and nails! There is only one person who is working most of the time, but they are usually not too busy and I'm seen right away. I have only gone one time when she was busy and it was a Friday after 4. If you are a regular customer they also fix 1 broken nail free!! The environment is calm and welcoming as well. (not sure why someone would leave a 1 star review when they did not get service that is not really fair to the business. If there is only one person doing nails it should be understandable if they do not have enough time when they didn't have an appointment and they happen to busy) I have not gotten a pedi here but the nails are always great and stay on! I'm really rough with my hands and use them a lot and my nails last longer then other nail shops I've been to that charge more. read more
