Dropped in for a quick gel mani and reg pedicure, no appointment, Friday arojnd 12PM. The service was quick and super friendly. I haven't had luck with nails salons lately, and expected my fresh gel mani and pedi to look grown out leaving there but it was all the way to the cuticle and looked amazing and fresh walking out! I also expected my nails to fall apart after a week (fault of my own because my nails are flimsy, and I'm rough with them) , but they are still holding! My pedi still looks so good! The vibe was relaxing, and the ladies working on me were super sweet and accommodating. Update : Week 3 -- still long, still hard, paint still intact, nothing has chipped!!!!! Impressed!!! read more

I called at 11am on a Tuesday on the off chance I could get a full set done before leaving for a wedding on Friday. The receptionist was incredibly accommodating and said they could see me then, so I came in and was seated right away ! Everything inside was clean and organized, and the music was a nice, peaceful touch. My nail tech was lovely, as was the ambiance of the shop. I regret that I didn't get a chance to ask for the technician's name because she truly deserves all the praise. I showed a picture of what I was looking to get and it was like the final result was copy/pasted from my phone ! My nail tech recommended Gel X tips based on the style I wanted to get and I'm so happy I said yes. These nails look more natural, feel more secure, and I absolutely love the end result ! Very nice staff and clean nail salon. I was a walk in and they sat me when a chair was open. Happy they took me in without an appointment. I had a pedi and a mani. The reason for the 3 stars is that the staff was great, however 2 days later the dip manicure I had started to peel off a clear layer. I was not around any chemicals or anything that would cause this. I had my nails done for a wedding that I was a bridesmaid and sad to see it peel off by the 2nd day. The wedding was out of town so I was unable to see what the salon recommends or could fix. read more

Went to try a new place and saw the reviews were great! They took me very quickly as I called ahead which was very helpful! I got an acrylic set and already had one on that needed to be taken off. My nail tech took off my set a little aggressive and unfortunately cut up a few places around my nail bed. When doing my actual nails I provided a picture and what I got did not resemble what I asked for. My nails are unfortunately very chunky, bumpy, and thick. I tried to like them, and my nail tech was very nice and reassuring, but they're sloppy and my least favorite set I've ever got. The ambiance and service is very nice, but I was highly disappointed by the quality of work. Unfortunately I will not be back to K&D. read more

I really like this salon a lot. I've only been twice so far, but their prices are reasonable and the staff is so friendly. They remembered me somehow even though it was only my second time, which just shows they care a lot about their customers. I haven't had any problems with nails chipping or polish coming off which is a huge plus. The reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is simply because the salon itself is a little old and outdated. They do, however, seem to pay attention to cleanliness with the plastic wraps in the pedicure bowls and such. Another perk is it's pretty close to home, and I can usually call ahead or walk in with no problem. Will definitely be back! read more

I was a walk in with no appointment, so I expected a wait. I came in and the only person doing powder that day was with someone else so I got a pedicure. However when he finished I had to wait over 30 minutes because he disappeared knowing I was waiting. When he began to do my nails he jerked my fingers around yelling at me to relax. He cut my cuticles several times to the point of me bleeding. But I endured it. I got a coffin chrome gel set, which began to peel completely off in TWO DAYS. I returned to get my nail fixed and was told that guy isn't here and was ignored for over 30 min. This place is unprofessional and over priced for the service. Neither my nails are my toes are what I asked for and ultimately I'm just super disappointed. read more

I was here to get a pedicure after coming here for the past 5 years. At this appointment realized it has been sold and new owners have taken over. While trimming my toes the lady cut my foot and I was bleeding. I get pedicure all of the time and never has this happened. I then called when I got home to let the manager know since I wasn't sure who she was and didn't want the whole place to know and embarrass the lady who did my pedi. They acted like they didn't speak English on the phone and all they were able to say is come right now? When I was asking how they sterilized their instruments. Well 2 days later and I have an infection on my toe and have to take antibiotics. Do not go here. read more

Yen always an amazing job on my nails. Whenever I show her a photo of a design I like, she draws it identical to the pic, sometimes even better with her own creativity. She gets me in and out super quick but the quality of the nails turns out exactly how I like it. The staff are super sweet, especially her daughter. They take their time on the massages on my pedicures and I don't feel rushed. read more

My mother in law and I came in to get gel manicures. The gentleman who did her nails thought that she had fake nails and started to try and separate her natural nails. I quickly stopped him after he ripped her pinky. They don't have a lot of common sense, and almost really hurt her. read more

Been coming here for pedicures for years. Nothing great but not the worst. Got fungus so that's the end of that. No more pedicures. Started getting acrylic nails. Started out good. A little thick but okay. Then had the owner twice in a row. Gel was all up in cuticles and I felt she rushed through my appt both times. A acrylic fill with gel took 30 minutes. I live about 20 minutes from this nail salon but was struggling to find a good nail salon in my area. This place was recommended to me and I was pleased with the services I received. Me and my friend got the basic pedicure and were happy with the pedicures unlike I've felt about pedicures in my area. Also, I looked at the pictures of nail art on their Yelp page and I plan to come here in the future when I want to start getting dip powder with designs on my fingers again. Unfortunately, my manicure (the primary reason I came, since my nail was broken) was not so great. My nail was cracked on the side, and I suggested just cutting the whole nail and attaching a tip. The technician assured me that builder gel would fix it, and though I didn't agree, I assumed he knew better. The service overall was rushed. The crack in my nail reappeared as soon as I got home, and I noticed how sloppy my french polish was applied. Upon noticing, I called in right away to make an appointment to fix everything the following morning. Today I came in to have the nails fixed, and once again the service was rushed. To fix the broken nail, he added a tip and cut it without first confirming the length. I pointed out that it was shorter than the other nails, but if course, there was nothing that could be done at that point without completely restarting. I let it go, just wanting to be done with the service. He added builder gel and I could tell it was sloppily applied but just let it be. After filling and shaping, the side of the nail was completely filed down and the nail was awkwardly shaped. I pointed it out and he told me someone else would fix it, because apparently someone else was waiting on him, despite me making an appointment ahead of time. I just got up and said I would go somewhere else to fix everything. No one apologized or tried to rectify the situation. I just walked out. Edit: In direct reply to the business owner's response below: In no way was I trying to imply that I was misled into coming into the shop without knowing Anthony left. As I said, I hesitated at first, but made the decision on my own to come in anyway because my nail was broken and I had only been going to this shop for months. I was NOT expecting Anthony or his exact service when I came in. I'd like to erase this narrative that somehow I expected Anthony's service and communication style during this specific service. Based on my original review, I never once implied that. I only expected the technician to 1. Fix my broken nail and 2. Do clean work on my nails. Neither of those objectives were met. I am extremely disappointed in the shift of blame, as if I ever said that I needed someone to spend hours on my nails in order for the service to be deemed "good". In fact, it's one of the things I least liked about getting my nails done with Anthony! He was not fast, but at the very least I was happy with the way my nails looked. It's hilarious to think any woman would PREFER to spend "several" hours in a nail salon give me a break. It's funny how its being portrayed as if I have such impossibly high standards for my nails as if the service was not objectively sloppy (see pictures) !! You "didnt have a chance to recify the situation", but after I pointed out that the nail shape was messed up and told to go to another chair for someone else to fix it, I said out of my mouth "you know what, its fine I'll go somewhere else to have it fixed" I gathered all of my things and no one said anything. After said I would leave, no one said ANYTHING. Everyone moved on, which is fine! But don't make it seem like I just stormed out out of nowhere and no one knew what was going on. No one cared! Shout out to Tammy at D'Luxe nails on Las Positas who was able to see me shortly after leaving the shop and did a fantastic job fixing my nails and giving me a new fresh set (in less than an hour )

One of my friend gets her nails done at K&D Nails Salon and recommends me try this place. My first experience was amazing. The parking was plenty of space, and the shop was super clean with many nice decorations. The staffs were very professional and friendly. I got a combo manicure and pedicure. They took care my feet and nails so well with a good pedi massage. They offer me to select coffee, water, or hot tea, and even candy during their service. This place is referred customers to make appointment, especially at Friday and Saturday, to avoid busy time. If you have ever been looking for nice place and professional Nails care service, I am sure that you can happy with this place. The salon appears to be run by just two people, and the techniques feel outdated. The pedicure "massage" was barely a massage at all, it felt more like cream being spread on my legs for a few seconds even for a delux pedi. The manicure was also very mediocre. My nails weren't cleaned properly underneath, and they even nicked and chipped some of my nails during the service. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and disappointing from start to finish. The salon itself is clean, but it's usually empty, and after this experience I understand why. I won't be returning and unfortunately can't recommend it based on the quality of service I received.
