After buying a used car I had a concern and the General Manager and Service Manager were very nice took my concern seriously and the fact they were willing to address and rectify it spoke volumes about their honesty and effort to sell the best vehicles new and used. Turns out after inspecting the car again there was NOT an issue but a miscommunication. I liked the Salesman Chris Davis friendly no pressure style. I have a clunking sound in the front end of my car which to me sounds like a strut issue. It is May of 2026. I called King's service to see if I could get in to have it looked at and was told they could get me in in March of 2027! That is totally unacceptable! I then called Beechmont Volkswagen service department and got in with a loaner in one week. I will never ever take my car for service, which apparently is non-existent at King's Volkswagen. As someone who manages a fleet of vehicles and frequently interacts with various service departments, my experience with Kings Volkswagen has been deeply disappointing. The primary issue is a lack of communication and a refusal to acknowledge technical faults. I am currently experiencing what appears to be a software-related charging issue with an ID.BUZZ. Rather than investigating the glitch, the service team insists on labeling it a "feature" (they didn't use the word feature but I can't remember the exact word). It is little wonder that J.D. Power recently ranked Volkswagen as the least dependable brand in their 2026 Vehicle Dependability Study, specifically noting that rising software complexity is a major driver of these issues. Furthermore, their follow-up leaves room for improvement. After dropping the vehicle off on a Friday, I had to call them for an update on Tuesday. I was told that they would get back with me Wednesday. I emailed a few times (Wednesday and Thursday) and sales got back with me one of those times. Service did not get back with me. I eventually had to drive to the dealership in person the following Friday just to get an update. While I enjoy the vehicle itself, the service experience at this location is severely lacking in basic customer service. Now onto another issue. The loaner that I was given does not give make me feel good. It is 15500 miles over due for service and the tires don't look great in the front. The tires look like they have been driven with low tire pressure for awhile (outside edge of the tire is nearly completely bald and is well under 1/16 of an inch). I know that electric cars don't need much in the way of maintenance but they didn't even try. This is why I will NEVER buy the loaner car despite the sales people insisting that they are well taken care of. read more

I love this VW spot to service my car. It's amazing and the vibes are relaxing and clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the customer and the car. They don't do anything to your car without first communicating what needs to be done and getting the driver's consent. They have very supple and comfortable sofas and a massive tv counsel with all the channels. I sat there and was in and out of sleep while sipping a mocha I made in their very fancy pristine coffee machine. When they called me to collect my car I was kinda sad I had to leave. Not to mention the servicing was affordable and my car always runs so smooth afterward. read more

We purchased the car new and got the extra service plan that included extra stuff including the free scheduled oil changes. We got there to change our oil and they couldn't find us in the system and when we asked for a service manager, general sales manager or dealer they couldn't find anyone to confirm what we had paid for. They didn't let us know there was a recall so we'd have to come back again. They wanted to charge us for the free oil change but couldn't tell us what we had paid for Total joke of a dealership. Review is for service- which you will need a lot of with a VW. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this location for service- not because the mechanic are inept, but because the service manager is a liar. I took my atlas in to have the brakes evaluated- there was a shimmy. I had purchased a warranty that allowed for replacement of my brakes. Just happened to be that my vehicle was dropped off on a day when there was a computer problem. My family was about to leave for a vacation into the Smokies, so ensuring my brakes were safe was important. This manager told me that they had evaluated my brakes and they were fine- no issues. We asked multiple times if he was sure of the report. He said the pads showed wear but that everything was completely safe. When I told him I was about to get in the vehicle with my children and drive through the mountains, he visibly paused, but stayed with his lie. It was a lie. A bald-faced lie. When we returned from vacation, we received the written evaluation from the mechanic. Clearly written on the evalution, "Customer's assumption verified correct. Brakes failing. Recommend replacemnt." When I went to a different VW dealership to have the brakes repaired, I was told that I was- quite literally- 1 week over the time limit on my warranty for my brakes. Now, I am sure they would deny it, but it seems to me the manager told me the brakes were okay so VW wouldn't have to use my warranty. Unethical. Not trustworthy. read more

My calls for service were never returned. When Idid get a service advisor I was told I wasn't in their computer system. I replaced a car engine at Kings Volkswagen and I'm no longer in their system. My car was also dented while there for service and they refused to acknowledge it. I would not recommend taking your car to them for any reason. I have 1 more free oil service left when I bought my package of three. I will go somewhere else and let the free oil service go. We've complained to the service manager in the past and apparently nothing has been done to make the service experience better. I guess they don't care which is obvious. read more

**WARNING: Overpriced service will not match other VW service prices for SAME services - SHOP around** In all fairness, Kings VW has proven to be in it for the $$$, nothing more. When my DSG service came due, I decided to shop around and found that the service was cheapest at White Allen VW. Only problem is, that location is in Dayton. So a $299 service is $415 plus tax at Kings - same service, same transmission fluids. When calling about the discrepancy - from the perspective of a customer that bought my car from Kings - I politely asked if the price could be matched to White Allen. Keep in mind this price was verifiable if they called White Allen like any other customer. I was told that the manager would not match the price, but was being kind enough to deduct 10% off the service. Overall, it could not be explained why the same service cost more. I felt as though the attitude was one of, "yep, you caught us up-charging for no reason, c u next time I guess." I bought my cc at Kings but over my dead body will they be getting another dime from me unless they make an effort to be competitive. I don't feel like it is my responsibility to pay for their fancy new showroom just because they want to grab as many dollars as possible from customers who don't pay attention. Would definitely question any price you see at Kings. At least take 5 minutes and call around to compare. I've been a customer around 2 years, from when they were at their Loveland location. With multiple services on my 1999 VW Golf GLS to their credit, I was agreeable to buy a car from these people at that same location. I stopped today to see the new facility, which is a bit bigger and has a dual drive area for service, which is enclosed for inclement weather. The show room is much bigger, but the parking lot is not. Everyone seems to be as friendly as always. Hopefully, they're as efficient as always. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would!! I drove here from Columbus, so an hour and a half drive to potentially buy one of two Tiguans. I knew what my bottom line was and what I needed the walk out the door price to be. The first problem I encountered was that they ran my credit as well as my husbands before looking at the carfax. Come to find out the carfax had a major discrepancy on it. With that being said they weren't going to be able to do much as far as my trade in. Second and most importantly the biggest red flag and the reason I will NEVER buy from this place is that when trying to negotiate on the purchase price of the vehicle in question, they were using a previous price of the vehicle instead of the internet price. This car has sat on their lot since March 27th and they finally lowered it because obviously it was priced too high. Had I been told before ever driving there that the "actual" price of the vehicle was $3000 higher, I wouldn't have wasted my time. I feel like this place doesn't have a clue what to price their used vehicles at. The other car I drove was a 2014 and it was priced the same as the 2016 I was going to buy!! After all of that my husband and I walked out and they didn't even try to stop us. We drove back to Columbus and stopped at Hatfield Volkswagen and had a much much better experience there!! They don't try to rake you over the coals and actually care about your well being and trying to earn your business. So in closing, save yourself the trouble and stay away from Kings VW because in my opinion they are terrible and out to take advantage of people!! read more

Deryck is a phenomenal service manager, and he always takes top-notch care of his customers. I have worked with 2 of his advisors (Scott and Justin) and they are always EXTREMELY personable, welcoming, and helpful in navigating the sometimes-murky waters that are vehicle service. Each time I bring my car in, the experience is always quick and painless. There are no hidden fees, long wait times, or feeling like you are getting the run-around. We bought our vw from kings in 2014, and have given ALL our service business to their service department for the last 9 years. This morning, the car all of the sudden threw warning lights and a check engine light. It started studdering and revving extra high. So I limped the car at 25 MPH down a few miles to the dealer. When I described my issue to the service desk person, I was told that they wouldn't be able to even look at the car for about 4-6 WEEKS. They didn't offer to even briefly look at the car to determine how serious the issue is. I asked for suggestions for how to proceed, as the car doesn't seem to be safe to drive. The person told me I could try calling other dealers. I was surprised they didn't offer to contact other VW shops for me. So I made several calls to find another dealer who would look at the car, and scheduled my own tow. When I tried to express my disappointment to the person at the desk, they just said "well it wouldn't be fair to put you ahead of people with appointments." Of course my issue is not an appointment-type problem, it's an emergency-type breakdown problem. Anyhow, good to know with clarity from here forward that kings vw service department will offer ZERO HELP OF ANY KIND in a breakdown-type situation. It's surprising they would want to run their business that way, and I'm sure they don't communicate that to people buying cars there (I definitely don't remember that being the message when we bought ours there). This is an update. I bought my first new VW from them when they were in Loveland. I loved buying my last VW here in 2014. I had one unfortunate service shop experience recently. However, the service manage contacted me directly to address my concerns, as well as to apologize for any miscommunication or inconvenience I experienced. Granted, it was after the fact, however, his attitude and approach were as good as could be expected. It may have taken escalating the situation to management (not something I typically like doing), but it didn't take anger or yelling to resolve the situation. The service manager listened carefully to my concerns and responded with care and compassion. We worked it out to my complete satisfaction, and I would not hesitate to return to them in the future. read more

Was told that I didn't need to schedule an appointment for service, and could use their quick service option. Checked their website, says open till 6pm Saturday, l arrived around noon. The front desk service then proceeded to tell me they close at 230, and turned me away from receiving service. Also, the customer service at the front desk was lacking. I showed her the website, and was just told, "that's wrong". So, i drove 30 minutes in on a Saturday, arrived 6 hours ahead of posted closing time, and turned away from service. Completely clueless and out to make a dollar any way they can. As you will see on my previous review, my drawback, and reason behind the low rating has to do with the service department. Every... single... time I visit for an oil change, they want to tell me about a $500+ fix they recommend for my vehicle. They finally put me over the edge this last time. Went in for an oil change and on my way out, they said my transmission looks like it was leaking. I informed them i had recently had work done, and their response was "Oh that's probably what it is, not a big deal, they just didn't clean it up." No leaking on my way in... (noted on their report) but leaking on the way out. What they didnt say was "It's hemorrhaging fluid." So since they were the last people to touch it, when it wouldn't go into gear, and I needed a tow, their service department said "Sorry about that, we will have it towed up here." Service called and informed my that "my lines were broke and leaking, and my transmission needed replaced." WOW $$$$ Long story short, I had the car towed to Auto4N, who told me "this may be a weird coincidence, but your lines are just loose, we will tighten them up and refill with fluid." 2,000 Miles later..... Kings VW called and said "How do you want to pay for that towing bill?" LOL Show me again where I agreed to pay for a tow. Completely incompetent, read more

My wife bought her 2011 Jetta from here a few years back and I have been back a few times since to take care of scheduled maintenance, etc. I can't vouch for the sales experience, but the service department is better than most dealerships, I like how you can schedule an appointment online and how flexible the staff is. I recently took the Jetta in for the 40K service, and my experience was a little rocky but it ended up working out nicely. I dropped the car off right when they opened, around 7:15am and make it clear that I needed the car back by early afternoon since we were leaving for vacation. The 40K service is not an oil change, it is a long process to get everything done, but I was told that having the car done in time wouldn't be an issue. So it hits 3pm and I hadn't heard back from the service department so I called and asked for an update - the service wasn't done yet. The person I talked to on the phone was actually quite rude, and hesitated to give me a straight answer on when I could expect the car - he just kept saying "we will give you a call when its done." I understand that is the process, but at the time that is not what I wanted to hear at all. So the car ended up being ready around 5:30pm, which totally threw a wrench in our plan to leave for our vacation. When I arrived to pick the car up I was greeted warmly right away and received an apology for the car not being done sooner. I also received a discount on the service, which I really appreciated. It is good to see that the mistake was recognized and they did what they could to make up for it. The service department was very busy that day so that was the reasoning for the slow turn around. Normally the turn around is very quick, so I am confident that my next experience will be top notch as I have come to expect. At the end of the day, I will be back because of the great service and understanding that the staff provided. read more

I have been a loyal VW fan and I have a 2014 Jetta Sportswagon Diesel. I just went in to activate my Good Faith Gift for the diesel scandal. And I have never been treated so poorly. I stood for 15 minutes and not a single person spoke to me in the showroom. When a manager looked my way (the third time) - and this time made eye contact - he begrudgingly asked if he could help - When I showed him the paperwork - he was annoyed and put out that he would 'have" to go through "another" one of these. When I asked about fixes he was dismissive saying " the car will be better without a fix" and "most people wont even fix it"! I am disturbed and disappointed that there was no acknowledgment that VW and his dealer lied, covered up and cheated us. No apology or any regret at what his company had done. Pitiful! I have been trying to stand behind my decision and faith in VW but if this is how they are going to treat those of us that they stole from... Then I had to pass it on... I recently stopped in for Service after work. My low pressure light was on for my tires, and since it was freezing this week, I decided to take advantage of the Express Service and let Kings VW check out my tires and put air in them. I was promptly greeted (by name) :-) and they immediately took my car back and check and filled my tires all within 10 minutes and I was on my way. Plus I got a coupon for a free car wash, bonus! The searching process: I arrived at Kings Volkswagen interested in a few different models. Paul was my salesman. He was very calm, knowledgeable, and didn't try to put on pressure. He pretty much told things as they were. I made an offer and it was excepted. I got a car that I wanted and had all the features that I was looking for. The sales manager was really friendly, the finance people were really friendly. They broke everything down in black-and-white I didn't try to hide extra costs and what not. They gave me different options as far as financing goes however, they tailored finance plan and I got an interest rate of 2.99% and I was very happy about that. After the sale: I was recently called to bring my Volkswagen back to the dealership due to an open recall. I was told it would take a few days and they had an exact model ready for me when I arrived as a temporary driver. I had also brought up a concern regarding the vanity light attached to the sunvisor on the passenger side of my car. The Service professional or manager stated that because I had just bought the car, he waived the $50 deductible for this particular situation. My recommendation: I highly recommend this dealership to anybody who is interested in owning a great car. I understand that Volkswagen has taken a lot of grief recently however, The wrongdoings of a few middle management people does not reflect the values of the company in full. One star isn't even an accurate rating here. This is the worst place to get your car serviced at. I have more problems with my car now then I ever have. It all started with getting an ignition cylinder replaced in February. 2 weeks after that my passenger side door suddenly quit working. In April I went in for an oil change had my rear shocks replaced because one of them "broke". In May my brakes were fixed and magically something in the rear brakes exploded and required an additional 300.00 to fix. Then to my amazement in June I ONCE AGAIN got stranded by my ignition cylinder going out. The same part they "fixed" in February. Its been 2 weeks since I got my car back from that and guess what happened this time.... Now my drivers side door won't open and no one is willing talk about why this keeps happening to me. I will never schedule another appointment here. They do not actually fix the cars they are servicing. They only create more problems. Don't waste your time they will only steal your money. read more

I did not buy my GLI here, but I must say I love their service dept! I've had an oil change and a 30k mile service done here. I didn't schedule an appointment for either of the services. They have a team of three (at least on that day) people who run the quick-service lane, so they are able to move at lightning speed! (Which is great for people like me who are in graduate school and working several jobs with highly unpredictable schedules. This way I can show up and know it will be taken care of quickly if there is time.) My 30k service was quoted at 45 mins but didn't even take 30. (Nice waiting area with charging outlets and free wifi is another great perk!) I also know others who have taken their VWs in for minor things and the service dept is kind enough to assist as they can, even extending the the courtesy of topping off fluids. Free of charge. No paperwork. No hassle. In and out! read more

We had an awful experience recently here. We went for a test drive, all was fine. Then we came back to talk numbers, that's when it went awry. My husband had reason to believe that there should have been some wiggle room in the price (this was a used vehicle) and at that suggestion the salesman became what I would term aggressively rude. He basically berated us for attempting to get a better deal, and talked about how the internet is "ruining this business." Now, if a dealer is unable to come down to where we need it that's fine. It is what it is and I can totally accept that. However, treating people with rudeness is not the way to convey that. We tried to see if we could get what we needed, we were not rude or entitled about it. He honestly looked like he wanted to hit my husband. I strongly urge anyone who isn't wealthy enough not to care about pricing to stay away. read more

Saw a great lease offer on VW website for the Beetle classic, offer was honored to the letter. The dealer didn't have the model on the lot, but got it for us within two days and had it ready, all shined up and everything. Included oil changes for life of the lease and exterior/interior wear protection insurance option were great bargain additions! Edit: There was an error with the paperwork which they made (The wrong VIN was captured lol) - I had to come back and resign the paperwork and get another set of temp license plates. But they were apologetic about it - and resolved to get the registration done as soon as possible to avoid delays. Two thumbs up! Yet to take in for service, but it helps that Kings is the best rated VW dealer in the Cincinnati area. read more

Had to go there last week for an oil change and was shocked by my experience. Started off after my hour wait to get the oil changed the lady (debbie) in the service department comes out and tells me I have a problem and they want to show me. After taking me to the garage they showed me that my tire was bad and they wouldn't drop the car until I got a new tire (said it would blow of they did). Now after telling me that they say I need 2 tires because it will be uneven and it was below the tread and it was illegal to drive on it. I knew I would need new tires but not this soon. So I went ahead and forked out the extra money for. While I was waiting debbie comes out and says there are a couple recalls on my car and vw would cover it but the process would take a little over an hour and I would need to make an appointment for it. Knowing that it is now going on 2 hours that I had been there this could have been done already. So I make the appointment for today but letting them know I work during the day so the later the better. She tells me it had to be by 3 so they can get it done. I agree to this. Now this is where I really get upset. Knowing my appointment is at 3 I have to leave work a little early and show up at 2:50. Upon my arrival I see debbie in the garage and she tells me they don't have enough time to do it today but seems me to the service department so they can explain. I walk up to the counter and the gentleman behind the desk says you are out of warranty and that I would have to pay for it myself. Before I could complain he asked for my keys so he could check the vin and as he was walking out ask me to have a seat in the lobby and he would come get me when he gets my paperwork together. After 30 minutes of waiting in the lobby and watching my car not move. I walk up to the counter and no one was there. About 5 minutes later a gentleman walks out from the back and ask if I've been helped. I lost it. The guy that was supposed to be helping me went on a break. 45 minutes of my time wasted and left with nothing done to my car. Worst experience ever! read more
