When I stopped in on a Saturday they had a big sale going and was promptly greeted by a gentleman at a tent in the front and was directed inside. I was then greeted by another woman who called over another lady to work with me. I shared that I was looking for a band in platinum to pair with my solitaire and mentioned it was a vintage Tiffany, her response "you know you are paying for the name" that immediately turned me off. We have been going to Kingston Fine Jewelers for many years. We were introduced to KFJ when they donated a diamond necklace to an Ulster County SPCA fundraiser. Yes: a diamond necklace!! And they continued to give high priced jewelry for subsequent events. The service is spectacular! Our favorite people are Serena and Brandy, the owner. They know every piece of merchandise in the store and can take you directly to what you need or want. They are professional and extremely pleasant. They will give you an honest opinion, even if it means you buy something much less expensive. For example, today I went in to buy a pair of earrings I saw advertised in their beautiful holiday catalog. Brandy advised me that the size was too small and Serena knew just the pair I would like. The earrings were less than half the price of the ones I had originally wanted. The shopping experience at KFJ is always so enjoyable. If you need to return a piece of jewelry, the return policy is excellent. Many smaller stores only give store credit, but not KFJ. If you need a watchband changed or other small jewelry adjustment, KFJ does not charge and is happy to accommodate. They keep track of what one buys so it is easy to complement purchases. I recently went into Kingston Fine Jewelers with 2 pieces that needed repairs. I had a necklace that the clasp needed a quick repair. A young girl assisted me, this was taken care of on the spot. I also had a pair of diamond posts that after I put in a jewelry cleaner, the gold had badly tarnished. She took my earrings into the back room, where they were cleaned. After about 5 minutes, she brought them out better than new. When I asked this girl how much I owed her, she replied, no charge. I've patronized this jewelry store for many years. I admire the quality of their jewelry and the customer service they provide. So often we are quick to complain about a retailer, and not pay a compliment. I feel Kingston Fine Jewelers needed to be called out for the great service they provided to me. read more

Have never had a problem with this place. The employees are fair to all their customers, and tend to finish business requests in a timely manner. Shop is superbly clean most of the time, and there's even some times when the owner comes out to help her employees. Although the jewelry is a bit more expensive than some places, they do carry the accessories such as watch bands of all sorts, along with watch batteries of all different types too. I even found one time, them selling small tie-tac type pins. Never problems in billing either. The parking lot tends to be a bit bumpy at times, but that's to be expected! read more
