My daughters car got towed because of a snow removal policy where I live. I understand we should have moved it. I was informed Kinney towing had the vehicle. I call them and they quoted me $465... I was like, that is for just a tow, $500 for a tow. I asked if I could use my AAA and they stated AAA only pays $44 and they don't accept it. This was only a few hours after it was towed. This is ridiculous and I will never use them again and will advise the management company of where I live to not use them also. read more

Was stuck in snow on a dirt road going uphill In Lyndeborough. These were the guys the police called. $315 to be winched out of snow bank. I had no choice as police insisted it had to be someone who could come right out as I was 1/2 on road and half off. $315 to be winched ! Robbery! read more

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT use Kinney Towing. My brother had his car towed 2 miles, and they are charging him $375 and will not accept a credit card payment. He has no money until Thursday and the only way he can pay for it is with his card. He has medicine in the car and they will not allow him to get it unless he pays $75, just to go in to the car. The people who own this are the most disgusting and rude people I have ever in my life encountered. Stay FAR AWAY from these slum buckets raking in cash off people's misfortune. read more

I was unfortunately stuck this morning in a ditch at 3:30, and after being cursed at and being told very rudely that I am to wait almost 3 hours in 13 degree weather for " kents "tow truck that is literally 5 minutes away from my house.... I decided to call Kinney's instead. Kinney's said they'd be there in 15-30 min and they were there in 15! They man was extremely nice and very helpful and I didn't feel like an inconvenience or uncomfortable or scared that I was in the wrong. Definitely would recommend! read more

I would give zero stars if I could. My son's car was towed out of his apartment parking lot. He came out and asked why they were taking his vehicle and was told it was because he had not shoveled around his car. He offered to get cash because they don't take credit cards. The guy had already told him he had six more cars in that lot to tow. He would not cut my son a break. They charged $240.00 and change and only towed his vehicle this morning. These people are thieves. When I aked why they did not take credit cards the guy told me it was because people would stop payment on the charge. Newsflash! While my vehicle was parked at their yard, many things were stolen out of my car including Costco card, sunglasses, charger, a knife, wheel lock for my lug nuts, and my sun hat! If you have a choice - stay away from this towing company. If you don't have a choice and police tow your car using Kinney Towing - prepare to pay through the nose. And not just for towing, for storage too. Seems they have a cozy relationship with local police department. Police keeps your car as long as they legally can - Kinney Towing charges you as much as they can. Everybody happy except for your wallet. So stay away. read more

Kinney's towing towed my vehicle last night. When I called to pick it up, they charged $ 185 to get it out of impound and another $75 for a Sunday charge, totaling $260. Cash only. When I questioned why others were allowed to pay by credit card if they hired Kinney directly, I was told by Bill Kinney, the owner, we don't trust anyone. We have been burned too many times. That seems quite discriminatory. He further said you can't trust anyone these days. He said you could charge it and turn around and cancel the card. I don't like my integrity questioned. I think I will call the credit card companies and report these actions. read more

Worst towing company EVER! my boyfriend slid off the road into someones yard in the snow, when he called me to tell me what happened we told them not to touch the car because we didnt have the money and they continued to pull the car out without our permission and charged us 300 dollars and wouldnt give us the car back until we payed it we had to borrow money from a family member and they were rude and touched property that was not there i do no recommend this towing company at all! read more

appalling service. nightmare. gave us affordable quote over the phone as hotel front desk advised we are looking for the best affordable option. first tow truck came. explained our suv had to be lifted of the ditch from the holiday inn amherst nh parking lot. i asked how much will it be didn't give a price. then 2nd driver came. didn't approach us or speak to us. started working on it. after he was done he came to us saying it would be $2500. and if we don't pay right then and there he will tow the car. and that would cost an extra $175. explained we are not from the city. matter of fact we are from canada. driver didn't show compassion to our situation at all. said we need to pay or else he will take our only means of transportation. the owner of the vehicle was trying to contact his bank institution as we don't have that much money just hiding in our pockets. he was rushing us saying he cant wait for so long. i went back to the front desk explained the situation outside she called the company again spoke with the same person named deana trying to back out of the quote she gave the hotel staff. then my friend calls me from outside saying the driver doesn't want to wait and he is attaching the tow wire to our vehicle. this driver/ supervisor on the scene's name is bill. when the hotel staff talked to him he was all nice and was willing to wait. they even offered my friend a ride to the bank. holiday inn removed this company from their system to avoid any issues like this to happen again. also as per bbb.org this business is not even bbb accredited. if we were only calm and not panicking because of our situation we could've looked for a reputable company. we cant blame the hotel who helped us look for the towing company as they were also given wrong info by the person answering the calls for this company. i do not recommend using their service. read more
