Pork gyoza with a mildly spicy sauce on top - this was not bad

Solid ramen place. Convenient location as it's right at the King George skytrain and bus station. It's a small place so it's better for smaller groups, but their turnover is QUICK! We went for lunch on a Sunday, got seated right away, ordered, ate, ordered 2 more dishes, ate more, and then paid, all in under an hour! There were 4 of us in my party, and that was the quickest dine-in restaurant meal ever! Food tasted solid. We've had better ramen in the lower mainland, but this will hit the spot if you have ramen cravings. Note that the pictures on the menu include the ramen egg and nori/seaweed but you have to order that as an extra topping. We totally didn't realize that until we got our order. Most places include that in the regular order, so just keep this in mind.

Clean ramen joint in the King George Hub. Underground Parking js free for the first hour. It is a chain restaurant so you can get a stamp card for rewards. You can choose between original, shoyu or miso. l and thin or thick noodles. There is a vegetarian option but using the same broth. There is a lunch special for $20 ramen and a piece of Cheesecake. I had the thick noodle with pork in original broth. The broth is strong on the white pepper which I am fine with. The noodles had a good bounce. Service was friendly. Decent ramen in the area.

Good service, reasonably priced and yummy food, walking distance from the hospital. I came here with my cousin on a weekday for lunch, and we were seated right away. Beef Spicy Garlic Ramen: 5/5. I looove spicy and I looove garlic, and hey beef is pretty delicious too. This ramen wasn't that spicy, but I had a good time. Priced fairly for being in North America. There were so many other interesting sounding options on the menu, as well as combo deals. I don't know if I'll ever come back to the area (was for a unique situation), but if I did I'd be happy to eat here again and try other things. Apparently they have a points card for frequent visitors.

I feel like after all this time reviewing places, I've never used the word "shockingly" in a positive context. Usually that word comes off as part of a negative context. A place is "shockingly bad" or "shockingly mediocre" type of thing. I managed to stop by Kinton on their grand opening day. I could only appropriately describe my experience as shockingly great. This isn't meant to be a suggestion that I went to Kinton expecting bad food. After eating so much ramen, I feel like I knew what to expect. It was going to be a good meal but I wasn't expecting much higher than that. I definitely like the look and ambiance of the restaurant. It feels very homley and welcoming overall. Staff yell out orders and you can watch the chefs prepare food from the bar. It didn't feel like I waa being hurried, but you could get a sense that staff were always moving making sure to take care of the next customer. I ordered the miso ramen pork for my meal. Going in, I was expecting a miso style broth and that it was going to be alright overall. I definitely ended up aiming quite low for my expectations. From what I can tell, all the meats are torched before being served. That adds a really neat flavour to the broth. There was also some corn and sesame oil from what I can surmise added, and I detected a bit of heat as well. Overall, that made the broth super delicious and delectable. I was stunned by how tasty it was and nearly drank the whole bowl. The noodles as well were probably the most perfect noodles I've ever had in terms of chew. I don't think I had perfect al dente noodles till now. It was a shockingly great meal that I had at Kinton. I'm very happy to have another ramen restaurant nearby and I'm very excited to drop by again and further explore the menu.

One of the BEST *spicy pork garlic* ramen you'll ever have in Vancouver. There's definitely a lot of other good ramen and donburi and appetizers for you to try on the menu, but come here for THE spicy pork garlic and I promise you'll have a full belly and also enjoy every single bite and slurp from the ramen you ordered.

Chicken Karaage and Deep Fried Gyoza

This ramen shop has finally opened and we made our way there to try it out. When we stopped by, there were still a few tables available for seating. Unfortunately, they were all facing the Sun and the restaurant does not have blinds. We took the seats because we did not want to wait around so I was getting hot and sweaty during the whole dining experience. They do not have air conditioning at this time. Food arrived fairly quickly. My husband ordered the combo meal with a drink and deep fried gyoza included with his miso ramen. I ordered the pork original ramen. There was choice of noodles and I picked the thick noodles. I found the pork to be a bit too fatty for my liking. The noodles had a good chew. The marinated egg was perfection with a soft yolk. The broth has a strong peppery taste. It was rich tasting with some depth, but the first thing I noticed was the pepper. The deep fried gyoza had a lot of sauce to help the dryness. I personally prefer pan fried gyoza over deep fried ones because deep frying can make food taste dry. The chicken karaage was fried nicely. Meat was tender and juicy. There is free one hour underground parking at the King George Hub shopping complex. Service was fast. I think this is a great addition to the area because Surrey does not have many ramen options.

Your preference will depend upon subtleties about noodle thickness and texture and broth flavors, but there is always, always a line in front of Ramen Danbo. A lot of it is probably due to hype or fame, but I have to admit that I think it does edge out the others in several ways. I think the noodles themself are more flavorful and more delicate. And I have to say the pork was extremely tender and flavorful. The egg was perfectly prepared, and the broth was perfectly seasoned to my desired spiciness level. They also do a great job searing their gyozas. Because of its overwhelming popularity, they have perfected the ordering process so that you can fill out a form while you're in line, which greatly reduces your wait time. It's easy to get in and out of here in 30 min, and I'm sure that is their goal. As a result, the dining experience might not exactly be relaxing, but if your focus is on the best quality bowl of noodles that you can get, I think it is worth the wait.

It's not your typical ramen joint because looking at the menu, they have some other Asian dishes that are from different cultures. It's like a mish-mash of Asian flavours! We stuck to the ramen dishes since that's what we were after, and it was actually super delicious! Firstly, the bowls are bigger than usual ramen bowls from other Japanese joints, so you get a bit more. Your ramen comes with the basic meat/protein and a few add-ons. Optional toppings are available for $1.75 each. We ordered the miso tonkotsu and the spicy version. We LOVED it and thought it was super comparable to authentic ramen places in the lower mainland! Definitely come and try them out! The ambiance is super casual. Good for large groups as they have plenty of seating. Unassuming yet tasty. Only thing is that it's located in a part of Surrey where there's a lot of homeless folks roaming around the area. One even walked in and stopped by our table asking for money, but the owner was able to (nicely) shoo them away and apologized to us after. Apparently that guy wanders in from time to time, but there are usually cop cars in the area. We went on a Saturday night, so just beware of this in case you experience it too.

I ordered the "Red Hot" ramen, and I can't say the soup base is the most flavourful, mainly due to the spice ratio being slightly too much, but it's tasty nonetheless. If you live in Port Coquitlam, this place is worth a try. Long review: Ramen Bella recently opened up its second location in Port Coquitlam, and took over the Mexican gourmet that used to be there. This restaurant has got a great atmosphere, although it's quite quaint and still keeps the old tiling from the Mexican establishment, it fits it nicely although I can't say I feel like I'm sitting in an underground ramen shop in Shibuya. All staff followed COVID-19 procedures, wearing masks and practiced social distancing to the best of their abilities, they disinfected tables and chairs after people left and overall made the dining experience feel safe. We ordered, and our food came to us in less than five minutes, Igot the red hot ramen, and I gotta say it was pretty good. Usually spicy ramen ends up just being spicy and totally overpowering the broth flavour. I can't say the ratio was absolutely perfect, but it was a lot better than most other places. The portion size was great, but I'm not sure how I feel about bok choy and wonton crisps in ramen. The noodles tasted like good quality ramen noodles, but not home-made at the restaurant. This was quite minor but my soup didn't really come out to me piping hot, and more just hot in some spots and warm in others. I trust that it was a mistake considering my lady friends bowl was totally hot though. The gyoza we ordered with our meals was quite tasty. The pork and chives filling was what you'd expect for a restaurant like this, and the size of them was eatable in about two bites. These were super hot, so let them cool off for about a minute before you dig in! Overall if you live in the Tri-cities or Port Coquitlam, this is your best bet for ramen if you don't want to travel out to Vancouver. I think they should change the soup base to spicy ratio in the Red Hot bowl, to give it a little more flavour. Overall, this place has a lot of potential to be great, but for now, i give it a 3.5/5.
