I'm the biggest fan of Danbo but don't usually go there because there is always a line up on times I'm free. However, this time I went on a weekday (Thursday) around dinner time. There was still a 20min wait but it was sooo worth it. Danbo has a new curry flavour ramen which was SOOO good! I also got their iced tea that was pretty refreshing and perfect way to end a hot meal. Their gyozas were pretty good as well. I usually get thick noodles and a very rich dense broth which I think was perfect for their new curry flavour. Can't wait to go again!!

Food****// noodle was cooked perfectly and they got lots of options for you to customize your ramen which is really neat! Will def come bk next time I'm in town esp in winter it must be epic Service****// Japanese restaurant service is automatically 4 and above no doubt. They have many trainee but all of them are offering same services which was nice Ambiance****// not really big considering how many ppl inline but I guess this is also a strategy. If your group is big probably call first to confirm the seating arrangements

Wow, really great Ramen. The Gyoza was also lovely. The staff members were efficient and very pleasant. Prices are excellent. You may be seated very close to another party, but it's worth the close quarters to have this excellent food.

I ordered the Miso Tonkotsu ramen with mild rekka, thick noodles with an egg to go. Ramen Danbo is my go-to place for ordering ramen as I find it has the best flavour, you get at a pretty big portion and it is reasonably priced.

Enjoyed ramen with my daughter. Service was fast. The place was hopping. Would definitely come back.

Broth was really flavourful but I would've liked the noodles to be thicker. The line wasn't too long on a monday afternoon

Little hole in the wall restaurant but easy to find due to the lineup to get in! Came with a party of 6 and staff were very accommodating to get us in quickly and seated together. Ordering was quick and efficient with order forms available to complete in line. And the ramen was delicious!! Literally good to the last drop!

This was the best Ramen I have had so far in the Vancouver area. They customize your order from type of broth to firmness of noodles, e tea toppings, and spiciness. They were very efficient and friendly with their service getting us seated as soon as they could. Ambience was casual.

Didn't expect to be so impressed by a chain ramen restaurant!! The flavour and customization options were fairly priced. The food came really quickly and service was friendly. I tried the classic and the Negi goma and I was surprised that the classic was my favourite! This location didn't have too big a line up during lunch over the weekend which was a nice bonus. Def recommend checking them out!

Talk about some of the best most authentic ramen I have had since going to Japan. I could eat here consistently for the rest of my life! The staff was great. The restaurant is on the smaller side. However, I enjoyed the food because it reminded me of some of my favorite Japanese ramen spots in Tokyo and would recommend Ramen DANBO 100%!

The space is usually quite busy and there is a lineup, but today was a little different. I went at a not so busy time. The staff was nice and helpful with letting me know what I can order that does not have my allergies (fish). The presentation looks great! The food always hits the spot. Would definitely anyone to go try a bowl of ramen from danbo!

Yep we're totally eager beavers ! They've just opened their newest location yesterday (Jan 18) and we're already here today lol . Apparently they have quite the following cos there's still a lineup at 9 pm , which almost never happen in sleepy Kerrisdale , for real ! Not to mention we're all standing in the freezing cold ! ! Main reason why they're so popular i think might be their very affordable pricing , i mean where else in town can you find authentic , soul-warming and tummy-pleasing ramen bowls starting as low as $11.95 ? Honestly I can't think of anywhere , but lemme know if you do ; )

The guy in front of me, Deng, looked at me with such envy as he cut in line. This place is incredibly popular! Every time I pass by, there's a long queue. Even on rainy days, people are willing to get soaked in the rain just to have a bowl of hot tonkotsu ramen. While you're queuing, the staff will hand out menus. The ordering system is similar to Ichiran Ramen; you can choose the noodle firmness, broth consistency, spiciness, green onions, oil level, and MSG amount . The basic ramen is only $13. I added a soft-boiled egg and pickled cabbage for $2 each. Although the pickled cabbage is really expensive , I can't help it, I'm a pickled cabbage addict! The pickled cabbage paired with the rich tonkotsu broth was refreshing. The broth was flavorful but not greasy, the noodles were chewy and springy, and the portion size was just right. Overall, it's incredibly good value for money; no wonder there's always a queue. After eating, you really get that "Ah~ this is the taste of happiness" feeling

This time, still a line, but it went faster. This is definitely not a sit down and enjoy your meal w anyone. Order your food from a slip of paper you're given so that by the time you sit, they collect it and place the order. Seats are hard and it is devised where you and then leave. I had the goma vegetarian and my brother the tonkatsu. We both had thicker noodles. However, one could not tell. The vegetarian was loaded with sesame seeds. Now i love those seeds but it was way too much for my liking. Too much seeds to chew on. They also do not put any vegetables on like Hawaii does. Everything is ala carte and that adds up. I simply chose the ramen version without all the add ons. The broth was yummy but again with the loaded seeds, it made it challenging to just drink the soup. I will say, Hawaii has by far better ramen, but this place was ok too. Pricey for for what you get though.

If you're curious about the rest of their ramen lineup, the ramen flight is a fun way to try them out without committing to just one. Service has been attentive on my visits, and food comes out quickly, which is always appreciated. Last night, I tried their Dine Out Vancouver menu and thought it was excellent value. For $35, it included a Sapporo beer, five pieces of takoyaki, a bowl of Tonkotsu ramen, and mochi ice cream. It also happened to be Sake Friday, so we picked up a bottle at 50% off - hard to complain about that math. The ambience was generally fine, but the staff were doing a photoshoot for their new menu right beside our table. The lighting was extremely bright and the space felt cramped, and since the shoot lasted the entire duration of our meal, it became a bit distracting. Overall, strong food and good value, with a small but avoidable atmosphere miss on this particular visit.

To me, there are better choices in town, though their downtown location is quite convenient. Ramen Flight ($22.95): Tonkotsu Ramen, Creamy Chicken Ramen, and Spicy Vegan. Taste-wise, they were decent but not my favorite. The noodles were clumped together, which, combined with the smaller bowls, made eating quite challenging. The broth was overall quite salty but lacked richness. If I had to choose, I would say the Tonkotsu Ramen was the best. The Vegan Ramen was oddly sweet, possibly from the inari. Service was a bit slow despite visiting on a weekday. We asked for extra spicy sauce, but it did not arrive until we were almost done with the meal. I also disliked that they kept trying to upsell us on drinks and add-ons.

We arrived around 2 PM for our reservation and were greeted warmly right away, which made for a great first impression. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The bamboo divider running through the middle of the space gave it a cozy, modern Japanese-inspired feel, and the overall atmosphere was probably my favorite part of the experience. As for the food, unfortunately it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I ordered the seafood sizzler bowl, and while it wasn't bad by any means, it felt underwhelming for the price. The bowl was mostly rice, with a few small prawns, tiny scallops, a little roe, and some crab mixed in. I was expecting something more seafood-forward, so it ended up feeling more like a deconstructed fried rice than the premium dish I had envisioned. Same with the unagi bowl, couple small pieces of unagi cut up... The appetizers were actually the highlight of the meal and ended up being more memorable than my main course. I kept waiting for a dish to really wow me, but nothing stood out enough to make me crave a return visit. Maybe I just ordered the wrong items, because I know this place has plenty of fans. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but based on this visit, I don't see myself making a special trip back.
