I got the ahi tuna bowl. It tasted very bland and there wasn't a whole lot of toppings on there. I believe a key component of good poke is the flavor of sauce used. My bowl didn't appear to have any sauces and overall it just tasted very dry. So so. Came here for lunch on a Saturday and while the place was busy there were many seats open. However, the hostess was about to seat us and then suddenly decided to take our name and phone and go on to say, there's a 10 mins wait. Okay, no problem. Stopped by this restaurant after an evening at the mall. Even though we were seated at the Hook and Reel side of the restaurant, we were allowed to order off of both menus. Tonight, we had the temaki, or as they called it, "sushi tacos". We ordered the Classic and the Premium combos. The sweet shrimp was paired with a shiso leaf, and was super refreshing. That was in a tie as my favorite, along with the Yuzu scallop temaki. Honorable mention would go to the Scorched eel temaki, with a very distinct smokiness. Delicious! I almost wish I could give this place four and a half stars, because there were some small misses. For one, some of the spicy temaki filling, such as the spicy tuna and spicy crab, were quite tongue tingling! For those who are used to a mild level of spice, like a kick, may want to avoid the spicier tacos. The spicy Lobster was really good, as the undertone was not chili, but wasabi. Another miss that I found was that there was plastic covering the seaweed. Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem if it was an onigiri, but I found that because the rice ball in the Temaki was so small, tugging on the plastic sleeve would end up pulling the rice out of the seaweed, or just displacing the whole setup all together. I'm sure this is not what the sushi chef intended, but just an observation. Our server, Ivan, was awesome. Always checking in with us, making sure that everything was okay. The food was regular run of the mill ramen. Tasty, large portions, but nothing that made it stand out as unique. It appeared consistent, and that's valuable in a restaurant! The bramble drink was very tasty and I will certainly recreate this at home. The service was excellent, if there's anything I can review about this place it's that service nowadays typically stinks and we couldn't need someone without someone table side. It wasn't just us either! As I watched the room, every table was being excellently taken care of. I watched a mom of a newborn struggle to try to eat a meal with her family, as she was about to leave staff told her to please sit, and nurse and take care of her baby while enjoying her family....
