3.5 Stars for their lunch specials! This was our first visit, and we only ordered a salad and two lunch specials. I would definitely come back to try other items from their regular menu. I found the entrees in the lunch special a little skimpy. These are the dishes we shared: -- Papaya Salad ($12): this is from their regular menu, and I thought it was excellent! Well balanced and so tasty! -- Drunken Noodles w.Beef (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Soup, which was a Tom Yum Soup. The Soup was very spicy but the Drunken Noodles were very mild; almost bland. It definitely needed more flavors and wok hei, but still ok. -- Massaman Curry w.Shrimp (Lunch Special $14.95): this came with a Spring Roll and your choice of either Soup or Salad. We chose the Salad, which came with a Peanut sauce. The Salad was actually pretty good; the peanut sauce was slightly sweet. The Massaman Curry w.Shrimp was very weak in flavor and only came with 3 little shrimps. I would suggest you order a different protein and skip the shrimp. Customer service was good; albeit there was nobody to greet us when we first arrived, so we just seated ourselves. But service got better. They didn't rush us to order and let us linger after we finished eating. But after a while, we were asked to leave since they close the restaurant in between the lunch and dinner service (between 3:30-4:30pm). Sorry, we were not aware of this! All in all, a decent first experience. Next time, I'd skip the lunch specials and just order off their regular menu. read more

Recently got take out from The Theo Thai Bistro for dinner. We ordered through their website and our meal was ready by time we picked it up everything was packaged neatly. We ordered the Khao Soi Noodle Soup which was a curry based soup. In the order you have a choice of protein and noodle type. We got chicken and egg noodles. I did like how the chilis and noodles were separated from the soup so the noodles weren't saturated and you can control the spice level. We also got Pad woon sen and the crab fried rice. The pad woon sen had a good ratio of chicken, veggies and noodles. Our favorite though was the crab fried rice. It was nice and fluffy, lots of fresh crab meat and very tasty. I would definitely order the fried rice again. Next time maybe I'll try dining in as their interior look nicely decorated. read more

We found this amazing restaurant on tik tok and we were so happy that we did, the place is pretty small but has so much to offer. The food was perfect between spicy and savory, the service was very fast and the restaurant and the whole installation was clean and well The place got really packed super fast, by 7 pm they were barely tables so consider that, so plan accordingly There is also a lot of delivery options which is pretty convenient! Came here for lunch. The restaurant is small but they accommodate our group of 9. The restaurant is a fusion of thai and viet. The staff was friendly. The was good. Everyone enjoyed it. The lunch specials also came with a cup of tom yum soup, which we both got, and it was fine, or a salad along with a spring roll which wasn't bad either. The food tasted good but was such a small serving size. We also ordered a Thai ice tea and a lemonade Thai ice tea, which was much better than the normal tea. Ordered through Uber Eats on a Tuesday. Uber Eats accepted the order, but the restaurant wasn't actually open. I couldn't get a refund because the restaurant had already accepted my order -- and since I was the one who cancelled, Uber Eats treated it as a voluntary cancellation. No refund. This restaurant seems like a scam: they accept orders on days they're closed and pocket free money. -------- Updated: I contacted the store through Instagram, and they acknowledged the issue and refunded me via Zelle. For Halal Pho and Banh Mi, you will not find any place better. The Halal Pho portions are huge and the broth is very clean and tastes great. The beef is always tender and marinated and delicious. The literal only downside to this place is the pho and banh mi are so delicious they become sold out for the day. Even when that happens, their tom yum soup is great and their drunken noodles are very solid as well It's a nice low-key date spot as well as a nice spot for families. We ordered tom yum soup with shrimp which was great. We also ordered the drunken noodles with steak which was on point. The 2 dishes that were lacking was the massamun curry with chicken and the pad kra prow basil with duck. The massamun lacked flavor and spices. The pad kra prow was good, but the duck was over done and double fried which made it a bit rubbery. For a halal restaurant, definitely try this. I've been contemplating dining at this place for awhile but just didn't find the right friend(s) to dine with me. I took one of my Asian food loving buddies but unfortunately, that night, the place was packed and we were starving. Didn't look like we were going to get any food for at least 45 min so we ditched dining there that night...but I wasn't going to quit ! I came back again with my same friend and this time we managed to get a table on yet again, a packed evening (demand must be high for halal thai here, hmmm). We managed to get our appetizers and meal within a good 30 minutes which was not bad judging from how busy it was. Even the lady (appears to be one of the owners) said we were lucky to get our food so soon. We went for the beef with spare rib PHO but tried the egg rolls and shumai (Thai dumplings). I liked the shumai but then again I don't have enough dumpling experience to rate it against another restaurant (I did have Din Tai Fong but that place is in a class of its own). My friend gave the appetizers a 5-6 but that's because he's a seasoned Asian food foodie pretty much all his life... but since this is my review, I'm gonna give the appetizers a 7-8 out of 10 because the service and timing of getting the appetizers earned them extra points. When that Pho came out , and I saw that bone in spare rib, it was game over...I couldn't stop eating , the broth was amazing and the portion size was quite a lot even for me. I finished the spare rib and some noodles, packed the rest for the following day. It's a small quaint and "cute" place to dine, service was always with a smile... the big question is would I come back? As long as it's freezing outside , I'm coming back for more of that beef spare rib Pho! It's the perfect comfort food ...maybe I'll try out other menu items as well. Family owned restaurant and nice decor. Service was good and food was ok. Variety to choose from on the menu along with specials. Drinks: Thai ice tea all around. Eveything is great here ... love the food very friendly environment. However .... One issue is during the winter it's very cold in there. The heat is set very very low....usually a lot of people are eating with their jackets on. When you go somewhere and spend money and give business it should be warm and comfortable. So this is an asian fusion. Their menu had some Vietnamese pho, udon meals, curry and your authentic Thai meals. The owner was very friendly and explained how the food was freshly prepared. What stood out for me was his statement of when you order that's when we make it. My husband had the roast duck basil fried rice, I had the udon drunken noodles they were packed with flavor. They were not busy at dinner time because the whole street had a power outage. We were told it might be an hour but we only waited 20 minutes. We are so glad we stayed. Food gets five stars. However, you have to be careful if you go there for lunch. Twice now, I found the store closed, even though the website says it's open for lunch. Store was locked although there was someone in the store. Called their phone # and employee who opened the door said that they were only open for Uber Eats takeout delivery. It was 1:00pm and the posted lunch hours are 12:00-3:30. Employee said they were only going to open for dinner. I showed her their own website with the hours posted, still would not open the store for paying customers for lunch at 1:00pm. Very disappointed. read more

Food is some of the best halal Thai food I've had. In addition, they provide Vietnamese pho which was also amazing. Prices are also super reasonable and service is great! I've been twice now and will definitely be there again. I recommend the crab rangoon, beef pho, and drunken noodles. The only thing I would suggest is for the restaurant to implement some sort of online reservation system since it does get busy and is popular (I believe right now reservations are by phone only). I saw many people be turned away at the door despite tables being empty due to reservations that didn't seem to show. Other than that, highly recommend! read more

It's a little hole-in-the-wall, but pretty good food! We made a reservation for a pretty large group, which I was surprised they could accommodate since the entire dining room area is pretty small. It's still very much a take out-focused place. But they redid the dining area not too long ago, so things look pretty decent and cozy. We started off with spring rolls and summer rolls, which were delightfully crunchy. The calamari was cooked well, tender but still crispy on the outside. We ordered a few dishes to share among the table. The pad thai was nice and sweet, a little dry which is the way I like it (not drowning in a ketchup y sauce like some other places). The drunken noodles were great. We got one Thai spicy... and it was SPICY as promised! The massaman curry was also delicious with a nice side of rice. The restaurant was very accommodating and gracious. I hope to visit again. read more

What a beautiful addition to the bethpage area !! I'm a thai food lover and this definitely hit the spot. The service & owner are super sweet and made our visit 100x better. The food is delicious. I ordered the drunken noodle with beef which you can alternate the spice level. my husband got the rib eye udon which was a 10/10, super flavorful and yummy. To start I've been to this restaurant 3 times and 2 of the 3 times my experience was not good. First time - the place is small and gets crowded and not enough staff. The food was ok. Second visit - better experience with staff, less crowded, nice decor and good food. Third visit - the absolute WORST. It was crowded, mismanaged, looooong wait despite there being empty tables, wrong order, and terrible customer service. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. I ordered Tom yum soup and specified I want vegetarian as I don't eat meat/seafood/eggs. My husband ordered a different soup with chicken. When the soup came his was vegetarian and mine had chicken. We informed the staff and they took it back to correct. We waited again and the soup was served again and they specifically said Tom Yum vegetarian. I began to have the soup and midway through I found chicken in the soup. At this point the main course was also served but we hadn't started on that yet. We called over the sever and showed them the chicken in the soup. She had the audacity to yell at me saying it's not her fault and pointed to the kitchen. Right then the other staff member came over and again we showed them both the chicken. At this point we couldn't trust that the remaining of the food was correct and had to walk out. The first time when the order was wrong we gave them the benefit of doubt and allowed them to correct but after the second time we had no choice but to walk out. I will NEVER go back. read more

My husband and I came during lunch and we were surprised at how nice and spacious the indoor seating was! The stir fry chef was still at the grocery store when we came at 12pm but the curry chef was available. We ordered Chicken Sate and Curry Puffs as appetizers to give the stir fry chef a chance to get back to the restaurant. The Chicken Sate was soft and tender. It had curry powder on it, which made it flavorful. The peanut sauce was also nice and creamy. The Curry Puffs were the biggest that I've seen! The inside filling was delicious and tasted fresh! For entrees, we ordered two lunch specials: Massaman Curry with Chicken and Chicken Pad Thai. Both were very good and portions were generous. We had enough for leftovers and everything still tasted great reheated at home. This is now our go to Thai spot but I would recommend ordering take out versus dining in. Reserved a table for 2 Wednesday evening. Was busy, was quick to have us place an order. 2 entrees 1 appetizer. Partners Entree came out in literally 120 seconds flat, before the appetizer. Appetizer came out a few minutes later, but I sat there watching her plate of food go cold waiting for mine. Very obviously had to be someone else's order we saved from being binned. What is one of the most perfect "welcome back to the US " after a 4912 mile flight from Europe? A fantastic meal prepared with just so much love by an amazing Thai and Vietnamese couple. So much warmth the moment I walked in the front door from Leon, Penny and their adorable son Theo, the real boss. The best Tom Yum soup ever! The broth was so rich and delicious and the soup was loaded with beautiful and healthy vegetables( photo). The veggie spring rolls were light, crispy and the filling was all vegetables that were cooked just right. The dipping sauce was divine. The drunken noodles were absolutely intoxicating. My mother loved her Tofu Pad Thai with fried tofu. The order was packed very well. The food was hot when I got home 17 minutes later. A well decorated and immaculate restaurant that made me smile and just feel good. The vibe is love. One of the regulars Gregory and I became good friends in the few minutes as the order was being prepared. Theo Thai is on Hicksville Rd ( Broadway) in Bethpage and just past Patrizia's, Roast Sandwich House and Platinum Fitness. The Orient restaurant and Bagel Go Round are in the same small shopping plaza. We ate about 40 minutes ago and there still is this lovely aroma in the dining room. read more
