Saffron Rice side dish, plenty to share.

Gorgeous restaurant. Great ambiance to impress. Food was well made. No complaints, but would I go again? Not if I had to pay for it. Used my Chase Sapphire Reserve credit to dine and I would definitely use the credit here again. For a business dinner you can expense or a date you're trying to impress this is a great choice. Service was attentive, large well decorated dining areas. Food was solid and large variety of vegetarian items, so everyone can find something they like. Portions were good. So why wouldn't I pay full price? Because none of the dishes were memorable or crave worthy. The prices are a little bit high because they have to pay for the beautiful ambiance and all the attentive staff, plus rent isn't cheap. So I understand why it's a little high. Entree prices aren't outrageous, but like any fine dining, everything's à la carte, so the prices add up. Taste wise I prefer Aga's. If you're venturing for something high-quality and with a large variety of different choices, rather than the same items every Indian place has, this is a solid choice. Quality wise everything was outstanding and used great meats. Chicken tandoori was cooked perfectly and great portion. Loved that they had a variety of breads and zero proof alcohol. Non-alcoholic Cosmopolitan was good. Skip the non-alcoholic pineapple margarita, very little flavor.

Fabulous food! We enjoyed the papadam with the delicious chutneys. Butter chicken and lamb korma were delicious! Not a big fan of the roomali roti but the maki di roti and season Ka saag was quite good. Lucknowi chicken kabobs was the best of the lot. Service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and ambience was very pleasant. We will be back soon!

I've been wanting to try Kiran's for a while and the Chase Sapphire Reserve dining program finally gave me the excuse to go and do so. Decor is impressive and luxurious; there is a business casual dress code to be aware of before you arrive. Service was good but on the slower end. Food was lovely and flavorful, but I've had more enjoyable Indian food at lower price points, ambiance aside. Overall, the atmosphere wowed me more than the food. Foie gras, lamb leg vindaloo, and navrattan korma were tasty, though I wish there was a little more paneer in my korma. Lasooni (garlic naan) had excellent garlic flavor but is a little on the crispier end, just not my personal preference. Also had to try Kiran's bread (goat cheese and rosemary) which was great in small quantities, but the flavor overpowered the rest of the meal for me with more than one piece. I may not necessarily go out of my way to come back for myself, but this is still a great place for special date nights or to impress visitors. - Ambiance: 5/5 - Food: 3/5 - Service: 4/5

came to kiran for the 3rd time and the quality is still 10/10 chef owner is considered the "godmother of Indian fine dining" we were greeted by a myriads display of awards earned by the chefs and restaurant we ordered: -samosa| lamb & peas: this comes in 2 so you can share (9/10) beautifully garnished with veggies & perf for starter -butter chicken: a definite must order(10/10) it's on the mild side, v buttery -korma | lamb leg: another type of curry (milder than rogan josh) v tender lamb (10+/10) -scallops: come: in 2, very big sized (8/10) -plain naans + garlic ganaans: come in a basket of 3 each (9/10) valet parking is no longer validated. We opted for valet still upscale ambiance, they also offered afternoon tea with indian fusion pastry.

Hands down the best Indian place in Houston! Had high expectations of this place and all of them were met. Changing ingredients based on the chef's mood is pure aura farm. Rhogan Josh was definitely a highlight and more flavorful than other restaurants' Rhogan Josh's. Yes, it was a bit pricey, but I can tell you most of the people eating at this restaurant do not look like they care about price. And their prices are justified by their quality.

Took my partner here for a birthday and had a wonderful time! The cocktails were delicious, we got the mango lassi cocktail and the lychee martini. The service was amazing and all the food was delicious. We had the okra to start and shared the lamb shank with some garlic naan and rice. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Houston!

I've only ever ordered takeout from this place as I was initially recommended this place by a patient who said it was the most authentic Indian food! Well he is right! This restaurant prepares the food with such high quality and ingredients. I usually get the channa masal with rice and garlic naan. The exquisitely flavors dont compare to any other Indian restaurant I've ever tried! I will say it's on the expensive side but we'll worth the price! My next plan is to visit in person and get the full experience! Well I visited in person for take out looool. I last ordered from here last year and compared to when I ordered the pindi channa last year it definitely taste and looks different. It is however a larger portion size which I appreciate considering the price.

We came here to celebrate our Anniversary and they did not disappoint! The atmosphere was so relaxing, dim, and elegant. Our server, Flavio, was absolutely wonderful! He did such an amazing job with recommendations and explaining the menu. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was so delicious! We would definitely come back here! Amazing staff, incredible food, and a romantic ambiance...what more could you ask for!

The restaurant is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The parking can be difficult as it's limited but valet is available. Our server was very kind and patient. The food ranged from street eats to flavorful curries. We enjoyed each dish. The Delhi chaat incides alloo (potato) tiki which can be too much of a filler. When we're having street eats on hilcroft, there is more balance. It's a great fine dining experience for Indian food.

Came in on a Friday night with reservation, seated immediately. Dress code: business casual Food 4/5: we ordered Punjabi Thali (a variety platter and smoking duck naanza. Naanza was definitely the star of the show. Need to ask specifically for a naanza menu, they're not on the regular menu. Loved the butter chicken and garlic naan as well. Other options in the Thali felt a bit over salted. Service 5/5: very open to requests, saw multiple setups for celebrations. Friendly and helpful, slightly slow with the food but apologized profusely (was t even that slow). Ambiance 5/5: beautiful ambiance, we were seated in the side by side love seats which were great. Value 4.5/5: given the quality, fairly good value Overall 4.3/5: overall a great experience, slightly marred by finding out they no longer validate parking in the garage at the end Parking: we parked in the garage as previously it was validated, no longer.

Wanted to try a new Indian spot and this one definitely ranks up there. It leans more toward an upscale, fine dining experience, there's even a dress code, so it's a great option for a date night or special occasion. We came during lunch. They do offer a lunch menu, but we ended up ordering from the main menu as well. * Rockefeller oysters - on the smaller side, but still tasty * Scallops - really good, especially with the rich, creamy sauce * Butter chicken - perfectly spiced and made with chicken thighs, which made it extra tender * Prawn Bhuna - large shrimp cooked with garlic and peppers that paired really well with saffron rice * Lasooni & Paneer bread - a great addition to round out the meal It's definitely on the higher-end for Indian food, but worth it for a nicer outing. Service was attentive and friendly. I'd come back again for a special occasion.

I came for afternoon tea with a large party (private room seating), and really enjoyed my first experience at Kiran's! I will say our server wasn't exactly fast and I felt like I had to prod her multiple times to get my tea refilled. That's an area they could improve upon. The head maître d' came in to provide some help but it just took a much longer time than expected. The chai is fabulous!

The food was very good and it was a great environment. Service in terms of wait staff was fine, not great but fine. With the exception of the kind gentleman that packed our left-over items. He did a great job and you could tell it was done with care. Our complaint was with seating time. If they won't hold your reservation if you're 15 mins late, they should provide a cocktail on the house for not seating you 20+ mins after your reservation time. We had a 6:15 dinner reservation and were told our table wasn't ready when we checked in around 6:10. No problem at that point and they showed us to the bar to have a seat. We were still sitting at the bar waiting at 6:45 with no one updating us or checking in on us except the bartender. I finally went to the hostess station to ask and lo and behold, now our table was ready. No apology, no explanation, no offer of any kind of comp... nothing. Would we have ordered (2) $20+ cocktails if we didn't have to wait... no.

It's not just a coffee shop, but also a cocktail bar and event space. There is a combination of several 4-top low tables, 4-top high tables, couch seating, coffee table seating, bartop seating and even a few 2-top tables outside. Each table also has flowers and a menu with a pamphlet detailing their current events for the month. Lots of Porsche photos on the wall, even a photo wall with a Porsche on the track. I can see this space catering to mostly men, but also women who love Porsches. The focal point is obviously the Porsche-shaped lighted bookshelf along the back wall of the bar area where liquor bottles are being stored. This is also to scale with an actual Porsche 911. Eighties and modern light rock and pop music was playing in the background during my visit. Parking is slightly difficult and the actual entrance is tricky to find, but just pull into the Porsche dealership from either Greenbriar or Shepherd and that will get you there. I read through the menu briefly at the counter and immediately spotted the drink I'd order, the German Chocolate, iced. I also tried their almond croissant. German Chocolate signature latte - served elegantly and in a large glass and very tasty, so it justified the slightly higher prices for the drink. It's composed of mocha and coconut puree with a caramel and chocolate drizzle. The only thing missing were the coconut flakes imo. Almond croissant - tasted like a typical almond croissant; however, here they will serve it to you on a nice plate with fork and knife. They also provide complimentary Dickinson's honey and jams next to the sugar dispenser by the cash register. Lattes here are definitely elevated if you order a signature version. However, basic lattes start at $6, for hot or iced. Some of their flavors are common ones; however, they also have ones that aren't so common at other coffee shops around town: - cookie butter, - butter pecan, and - pistachio. Yes, they also have a happy hour Tues - Sat 4-6pm and reverse from 8-10pm where you can get discounts (about 30%) on beer, wine and cocktails.
